MM15256****This hotel, opened in 2024, is fully equipped, even with a washing machine. The breakfast is quite generous. I'd especially like to commend the front desk service; they were warm, thoughtful, and gave us great recommendations for our itinerary. They also helped us with a late check-out, which we really appreciate. Their attentiveness truly made a difference. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Kaifeng. It's an excellent hotel!

GGuest UserI had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The rooms are high-end, comfortable, and clean. While smoking is permitted in the hotel, I was pleased to find that my room did not have a smoky smell. The staff was attentive to our needs, and the breakfast offered a good selection.
However, I found that some essential services for foreigners were lacking. For example, assistance with booking a taxi, sending packages, or arranging tours was not available. I was surprised that some essential services were not included, especially given the number of staff available to assist with carrying luggage and opening doors. This was a missed opportunity to enhance the overall guest experience which is something other hotels in China typically offer at no extra cost.
Overall, while the hotel itself is nice, I believe it could benefit from providing these additional services to enhance the guest experience.

ZZhizhuxiadetongxueIt's really worth staying at Kaifeng New Century Grand Hotel! The hotel itself is great, with a great location, convenient transportation, and a lot of fun things to do around it. The lobby is elegant and grand, the service staff is warm and thoughtful, and the attentive service from check-in to check-out makes people feel particularly comfortable. The room is warm and comfortable, the bedding is clean and soft, the hygiene is perfect, and the facilities are complete and easy to use. The catering is also excellent, the breakfast is rich and delicious, and it suits the taste very well. And behind the hotel is the Jinmingchi Ruins with a super charm, and there is a trestle on the lake. The scenery is pleasant. Go there in your spare time to feel the historical charm and natural beauty. It's so comfortable. I really recommend this hotel. You can't go wrong staying here when you come to Kaifeng!

The service was also very good. The lady at the front desk was very gentle. The location is also very convenient, very close to the scenic spots. Breakfast is very rich and tastes good 👍

BBuerhanghangThe hotel clearly represents a massive investment, rumored to have cost a billion (RMB), despite having just over two hundred rooms. Many aspects of its design are commendable. Its location within a wetland park offers a unique advantage, and it's also conveniently close to both the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden and Wansui Mountain. It could arguably be considered the premier hotel in Kaifeng.
While the overall facilities are excellent, there's certainly room for improvement in some areas. For instance, the hotel offers bicycles for guests to ride around the grounds. However, when my mother was using one, the chain came off, causing a minor scrape on her arm, though thankfully nothing serious. What was concerning was that when we went to exchange the bike, the staff member's initial question was whether the chain came off because of a gear shift, rather than promptly asking if she was injured or needed any first aid. Moving forward, I hope the hotel implements regular inspections and maintenance for their bicycles, as otherwise, they present a potential safety hazard.
Secondly, our original room was quite noisy. Even with the air conditioning turned off, a prominent low-frequency hum made it very difficult to sleep. However, after reporting this to the front desk in the middle of the night, their response was incredibly swift. They promptly moved me to a much quieter room and also extended their apologies, which was excellent! Nevertheless, the next morning in the new room, we discovered there was no hot water. Given that we were checking out soon, we decided not to report it. Furthermore, a curtain in that room (2612) was partially detached. I sincerely hope the hotel will address and refine these minor details going forward.
Despite these minor imperfections, the overall experience was very positive. I sincerely hope the hotel continues to refine these details. Should I visit Kaifeng again, I would still consider choosing this hotel, and I eagerly anticipate seeing your improvements!

GGuest UserFacilities: Very good, there is a takeaway robot, it is safe to order takeaway at night, toothbrushes and slippers can be changed every day, there are cotton swabs and other daily necessities in the toiletries bag, the paper towels are not particularly thin, the hair dryer is quite strong, and there is conditioner in the bathroom
Sanitation: Not bad, the bathroom is very clean, there is no odor, I stayed for three nights, and the auntie cleaned it every day
Environment: The room size is very good, the hotel is in a large courtyard, quiet and easy to find, it is very close to Qingyuan Wansui Mountain, and it is also close to Shuyuan Street Night Market
Service: Xiao He's service is very good, enthusiastic and professional

GGuest UserExcellent! It's located right by the Drum Tower and very close to the food street. In the evenings, the area downstairs is bustling with food stalls. You can even watch the fireworks from Wansuishan Wuxia City right from your room. Renting shared e-bikes makes getting to all major attractions incredibly fast, with most rides taking only about ten minutes.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel for a business trip. I really enjoyed the hotel's overall style and the grand, comfortable decor. What truly stood out was the incredibly warm and professional front desk service; their attitude was genuinely excellent. They upgraded my room and even offered snacks upon check-in. Upon arrival in the room, I was pleasantly surprised to find fresh fruit and drinks, which was a lovely touch. The hotel dinner was also quite good, and it was delivered to my room by very friendly staff.
However, I must also point out some areas for improvement: The room's interior decor details were somewhat lacking, with many rough finishes that didn't quite match the hotel's supposed standard (see photos). Housekeeping wasn't as thorough as it could be; I noticed hair and dust in corners that weren't properly cleaned (see photos). After checking into my room, I couldn't find any slippers despite searching everywhere, so I had to request some from room service. The disposable toiletries were of rather low quality; the slippers, in particular, shed fibers that stuck to my feet (see photos).
While the hotel breakfast offered a wide variety, honestly, the taste was quite disappointing. For instance, out of eight seemingly different cold dishes, four contained cucumber, making them indistinguishable, and I couldn't even remember their names. Furthermore, many dishes contained garlic. For someone with a garlic allergy, it was incredibly difficult to find anything edible among the many options. My suggestion would be to use garlic only when essential, omit it when possible, and refine the dishes to cater to a broader range of dietary preferences.
Finally, I must reiterate that the front desk staff were truly outstanding and incredibly responsive. They even offered a small gift upon my departure, thanking me for my feedback.
In conclusion, this hotel is definitely worth revisiting, primarily due to its exceptional hospitality team. If they could address the decor details, housekeeping standards, and breakfast quality, it would be absolutely perfect. I look forward to being pleasantly surprised by improvements on my next visit!

GGuest UserGood place for international guests! Aunty that runs the place is really nice and responsive. The stay was pleasant, the place is old but functioning and reasonably clean for a homestay. Aunty's children speak English and she'll ask them to help, so don't need to be afraid to ask questions. The location is amazing, with an electric ”hello bike (Alipay)” parking spot just on the main road, then everything is easily accessible. Aunty kindly offered to drive me the short distance to the main road to take bus 38 to the north train station as she felt my bag too heavy. Simple fuss free place, would recommend for budget travellers looking for convenience over amenities.
