I rarely write passionate reviews (or at all, really), but this time I'm just feeling obliged to. TL;DR: Without doubt, this is one of the best resorts that we have ever stayed in. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we enjoyed every single bit of the process, be it about comfort, room service, the beach, the restaurants, or any other of the myriad of experiences that you come across while staying at a beach hotel. Location. The hotel is located on the eastern side of the island, around 20-25 minute drive from both the airport and the town. The location is quite remote from any villages, which gives a hint of wilderness. The hotel is the first in a row of similar-style sea-facing resorts, but the grounds are so expansive that you can barely notice them. Immediately to the north is an expansive woodland area (pines/cypresses), mixed with southern Mediterranean ”moon” landscape (limestone and small bushes). The area feels quiet and secluded despite a fairly-busy road nearby and various in-house activities. Comfort (internal). We stayed in a triple room in building 1 (the ”main” one). The room was smartly furnished and spacious enough to give every one of us their personal space. The beds were comfortable. We wouldn't mind to have slightly more storage space for clothing, but that is mostly due to our daughter's excessive dressing choices. Sizeable bathroom and balcony. Plenty of inventory. We also briefly stayed in a double room in building 3 (moved there for late checkout for half a day), which was more modern and ”smart”. We only spent a couple of hours there, so can't comment much on comfort or beds, but it looked nice and fresh. Comfort (external). We were really impressed with the ergonomics and look-and-feel of the hotel. The main building is a gorgeous architectural work; the grandeur of it is best appreciated from the sea. Every morning we swam up to the buoys to dangle in the water and discuss various aspects of the building. The indoor areas are designed smartly and beautifully. The three central lifts have glass walls that give you great views on the sea and the garden. The grounds are in impeccable condition (which should have been quite a challenge, considering the climate!) Every bit of the area was designed to make sense, and the gardens are a pleasure to look at. Dining. We went to the ”main” Emerald restaurant for breakfasts and dinners. Absolutely great selection of dishes, including local (for us :)) and ”international” (for an unassuming British teenager). Can't blame for anything. The atmosphere and service were second to none. The personnel couldn't be more helpful and friendly; by the end of our stay we made friends and enjoyed nice little talks with many of them. Unfortunately, I can't remember all the names, but among others many thanks to Klim, Evgenios, and Katerina for making our dining experience so great, by remembering our preferences, and generally being lovely friendly people. For lunch,

It's worth pointing out that I booked this hotel based on the fact that there were more positive Trip Advisor reviews than not, which was becoming increasingly hard to find! I did take the negative reviews on board, however, and I have to say that I would absolutely agree with the majority of these. Having said that, we had a fabulous holiday where we all fully recharged and I have no regrets in booking. A quick run through of what we believed the resort was lacking with some suggestions on how it could improve: - The queue to be seated for breakfast, lunch and dinner could sometimes be really long. Whilst the tables are nicely spaced out, perhaps more could be added outside with the addition of parasols as some tables were lacking sufficient shade. - Ensure that once seated, guests are offered a drink as quickly as feasibly possible. On most occasions we had to seek out a waiter ourselves (and it couldn't just be any old waiter!) to put in a drinks order, and on occasions the drinks arrived long after we'd finished our meal. - An additional coffee machine at breakfast would help ease the pressure of the waiting staff. Hundreds of guests queuing for only one machine wasn't the best start to the day. - Whilst we're on the topic of queues, the queue for the beach bar was RIDICULOUS. We got in the habit of ordering 2 drinks each every time we went to this bar to avoid the queue as much as possible, but also because the cocktails were so small. They tasted delicious but far too much ice and not enough of the good stuff. My suggestion would be to have a drinks machine where the guests could help themselves to various soft drinks. Even a self-service coffee machine might be useful here. In addition, having some of the more popular cocktails made up in the advance might help - for example, we have been to resorts where they had pina coladas and mud slides pre-made as a 'slushy' which could then be served as a non-alcoholic drink or add the rum or vodka for those who like theirs to be a little spicy. It worked very well. - Also, a menu at the bar would be great. Having to go into the App to locate the menu was rather tedious, especially as it's quite nice to be gadget free whilst on the beach. The inside bar was much quieter during the day and it was always nice to grab an aperitif on our way up to the room for us to drink whilst getting ready for dinner. - More queuing required for the Creperie. My son had had one every day (his holiday vice) but the queue was always 20-30 mins. - There is only one block of toilets for the pool/beach and beach bar area. There are only 2 ladies' toilets and so more queuing was required here. Another set of outside toilets would really alleviate this. - Don't book this hotel if it's the Chocolaterie and patisserie which has sold it to you. The 'Chocolaterie' is simply a selection of puddings from the buffet. Not once did we ever see anyone serving or eating here. When we asked about this we were told that

Spent a week here seaview room , We feel that the hotel has lost its identity it feels like an adults only hotel with families there, no entertainment for children or swing park etc The rooms was really nice and the sea views were brilliant from all areas Food was great a lot of choice especially the deserts and pastries. The main issues for us were the queues, the hotel felt understaffed, queue for breakfast and evening meal as you are seated, then a wait for your table to be set and drinks, queues for drinks a the bars were at times very long, the lobby bar has one staff member on and she goes for a break 9.30-10 every evening so the bar is closed, pool bar queue was quicker, but the pancake queue, I only queued once and it took 25 mins. There’s a ten euro deposit for a pool towel which you find out after walking all round the hotel looking for towels, we had to ask a guest, once found where they were back at the spa near reception they told us needed cash deposit which we didn’t have and had to go back to our room by which time we were shattered If you got information at check it would have saved a lot of walking around getting frustrated. The gym needs accessed by a card, again from reception then needs returned but there’s no air con in there so gets very hot, I could t use it. The beach is fab for a short stay as no facilities but sun beds are nice , it does get busy with locals but didn’t spoil the experience I know some reviews say the entertainment is good but we were really disappointed, we found it all quite boring the only night we enjoyed were the singer and violin player , There’s no music in the hotel apart from The salt pool bar which closes at 6. WiFi fab in all areas We hired scooter which was easy and the resort is nicely placed nothing within walking distance.

Such an amazing hotel! Everything was excellent. We stayed there for 8 nights with a 1 y.o baby in August. They serve great, fresh and tasty food everyday. The room is spacious, welcoming and very clean!! The pool area is awesome, there are 3 pools! Every night there is a dance or a live show. The staff are super friendly and nice! Ready to help you anytime you need them. They made an extraordinary effort to serve us and made our stay in the hotel great. We really enjoyed the hotel facilities including the gym, the private beach, the dining room and the pool area. We would definitely come back for another vacation! Thank you Apollo Beach
Esperos Village Blue & Spa - Adults Only

recently stayed at Esperos Village in Rhodes, and it was an amazing experience. Special thanks to Ioanna at reception for making us feel so welcome. We stayed in the Belvedere Suite, which was stunning with a private pool and sea view, offering the perfect spot to relax in privacy. The hotel offers great facilities, including multiple pools, a spa, and a well-equipped fitness center. The food, especially the Mediterranean cuisine, was delicious, though the espresso coffee could use improvement. While the shuttle service was convenient, it can get busy, and the air conditioning on hot days wasn’t always enough. Overall, the excellent service and beautiful setting make Esperos Village a perfect spot for a luxurious getaway. Highly recommended!
Amada Colossos Resort

I recently stayed at the Amada Colossos Resort, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The resort boasts an amazing pool area, perfect for relaxation, and the nearby pebble beach offers stunning views, though it's worth bringing water shoes for added comfort. I was on B&B basis and the breakfast selection was fantastic, offering a wide range of delicious options each morning. The staff truly made our stay memorable, with everyone being exceptionally friendly and attentive. I’d like to give special thanks to Maria, our waitress, who served our table every day with a warm smile and impeccable service, giving also tips of the island during our stay. Additionally, the team of Filipinos working at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. I recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway.
