Kresten Palace Hotel

We had an amazing time at Kresten Palace! All The receptions staff are unbelievably welcoming and can not do enough for you. There was a mix up with our room which was swiftly sorted out. The room was spot on, the lovely cleaners take pride! A special thank you to George for carrying our bags and being so helpful. The entertain team were truly amazing! A big thank you to Kiko for getting us all involved and must also mention the rest of the entertainment team for making our stay unforgettable. Ignore the previous reviews regarding the buffet food, the choice was vast with different specialties options each night and it was all so enjoyable and fresh, the waiting and cleaning staff always so eager to make sure you were happy and never stopped smiling. We can not wait to return. The food and staff at the pool bar and restaurant were also faultless. You can hire a car direct from the hotel by the lovely helpful assistant which we did to visit Lindos it cost around €50 for the full day, it was well worth it only a 40 min drive. I highly recommend the walk up to mountain and ruins definitely worth paying the entrance fee of €12 for the history and views! Taxis are also available directly opposite we used them a couple of times to go into Rhodes town it was extremely cheap around €11 each there and back. You must walk further along the harbour look for the red submarine Poseidon glass bottom boat, it was a great experience for €10 each. The skipper and staff were great helping my daughter who felt sea sick. There’s an audio highlighting the history surrounding which was really interesting and we got to feed and see so many beautiful fish. Taxi to Faliraki was €15, we ate at eat Greek falirari, it was amazing beware the portions are huge! There is also Kalami beach walking distance around 15 mins, you turn right from the palace and it is the road opp the chemist after the 3rd bus stop. Kallifea springs was absolutely beautiful for a swim. Please take some euros as at the entrance to it is a cat sanctuary. I could go on a on!! Thank you very much to everyone we will see you all soon!! I did want to come and visit on May 27th for a week however the flights are really ridiculous prices as it is the school holidays! We absolutely loved our stay at Kresten Palace. Lovely rooms, great pool and plenty to do. Massive shout out to Kiko who kept us entertained all holiday. Also a special mention to Phoebeus who after a mix up with our rooms did everything he could to help us out.

Stayed at this hotel in April 2024 booked via Secret Escapes. Food was very good and staff in restaurant and cocktail bar were super friendly, helpful and efficient. Pool area was lovely but could have benefited from having additional sunbeds available. Entertainment in evening seemed mostly low key ie karaoke and bingo. Not a lot to do in local vicinity unless you hire a car-which was reasonably priced within hotel Lobby at £80 for 3days. Rooms, public areas and poolside were spotlessly clean. The beach area looked dreadful. I was expecting a shingle beach but not the associated rubbish and discarded fence panels that were strewn there giving the impression of a discarded building site. Had booked garden view room via secret escape website. On arrival view was of a service road and garden but there was a constant noise coming from roof ( we were on 3rd floor ) sounded like a helicopter landing. Soundproofing did not reduce the noise. Was only there about 10mins and it exacerbated my tinnitus so asked to be relocated. Was relocated to another room which overlooked the carpark at the front of the hotel. Road traffic from main road was constant when balcony door open but soundproofing was good when it was closed. Not very enjoyable for sitting out on though. When I asked to be assigned a “garden-room” as per my booking, reception staff advised that none were available and that all rooms on the front (as ours was )were classed as garden rooms and that moving to a sea view was not possible as additional cost, but also fully booked. Despite my clearly not being happy with the view no concessions were offered eg some complimentary cocktails or such like. Wifi is additional cost per device per day for use in room. I was grudgingly given 1 free wifi pass for our 3 day stay but had to pay for my husband’s connection! I really dont think it acceptable to advertise a car park view as a garden room. Infact i consider it very misleading and very poor customer services that they did not offer an upgrade or at least some complimentary drinks.

Returned from Kristen Palace yesterday. Would definitely recommend the hotel and come back again. We did have an initial issue with our swim up room getting zero sun all day, but within 12 or so hours we had our room changed and upgraded to a family swim up room which was perfect. Had the sun until about 1pm and then had no issues finding a sunbed at the main pool in the afternoon. Food was very good quality, however it was not the warmest every day, but I know this is quite common for half board/all inclusive hotels anyway. They could do with upgrading to heating units for the buffet or food options made to order. However, food at the pool bar was very fresh and enjoyable. Entertainment could have been a bit more varied, but assuming this was due to it being nearly out of season. However, when we did do the quiz, darts and bingo it was very good and entertainment team very enthusiastic! Easy to get to both Falaraki and Rhodes Town using the buses outside the hotel. 2€ for a single to Falaraki and 2.5€ for a single to Rhodes Town. Would highly recommend visiting La Esquina in Falaraki, food was incredible and the cocktails were on another level. Overall, we had a lovely week and would 100% return. Highly recommend splashing out on a family swim up room even if it is just the two of you, for the sunrises and private pool area.

Really nice, clean hotel with lots of fun activities! We went here for two weeks and enjoyed daily activities like aqua zumba and boule, and also fun evening events like quiz, karaoke, bingo and comedy shows. Friendly, engaging and helpful staff all over the hotel. Big buffet breakfast and dinner with lots to choose from every day and a very nice pool area with pool bar and restaurant. Lots of love to our wonderful servers Antonis and Miltos in the Olympia restaurant and Arta and the rest of the staff att the pool bar! ♥️ Good wifi connection all over the hotel, even at pool area, but the connection could go down at times and it wasn't strong enough for the pre-installed Netflix or Amazon apps on the TV (the apps worked fine if we used the phone as hotspot instead of the hotels default wifi on the TV). The TV had a LOT of channels to choose from, but it was mostly german, french and greek which didn't do much for us. Car rental service at the hotel was good. We rented a car that broke down on our day out. We got quick rescue and a nice deal for a new day's rental. 👍 The pool was a bit cold, but it could've been due to it being only may. Perhaps it's warmer in the summer. The pools and ladders are in need of some repairs, but over all alright. Only bad part was the gym. It was small, cramped, hot and a lot of the equipment was either broken or in bad shape. Was hoping to get regular exercise in during our stay, but went to the gym only once because we didn't want to go back there.

I booked five nights here with my sister in law to celebrate my birthday. We booked a year in advance and got a good deal in one of the swim up rooms. I've been to Rhodes many times but it was my first time to this accommodation. We arrived fairly late but were told to leave luggage at reception so we could get dinner before the restaurant closed since we had Half boarding, we were pleased not to miss our meal as we were very hungry! Food was a bit low by this time and cold but still tasty and drinks were well priced 4 euros for a small bottle of wine with the meal. Be warned not all food has labels too. No allergies for us but might be a problem for others..We had to wait some time to he shown to our room after as they only had one gentleman available to take each guest to their room, some families gave up waiting and tried to find their own room. I think more staff would have sped things up especially if you have tired kids with you that late! It's a huge hotel though to get to our swim up room we had two lifts to take and alot of corridors to navigate, after a while it all became familiar though! The room was spacious and clean beware a twin/double room is two beds pushed together we asked for a twin but it looked like a double and the beds were not movable. Luckily they were big beds so we just accepted the room as it was. Nice mosquito shutter with sliding doors to the pool which was good as I suffer from mozzi bites usually. Big shower in the bathroom, small fridge and kettle. A safe and a few hangers just enough for us. Our swim up room came with WiFi (4 devices included) and safe included not all rooms do and are chargeable. The next morning the view from the pool terrace was beautiful, blue skies, clear calm water in the pool, two reclining sun beds, perfect. We had a bit of high winds that week but it didn't ruin the holiday. Breakfast was standard greek buffet I've had before, fruit juice tastes fresh. Plenty of egg options, cakes and pastries etc. we always left nicely full up. We booked some spa trea**ents during our stay as birthday treats and the lady there was very friendly and helpful. I had head in the clouds trea**ent neck face and scalp massage which was lovely and also aromatherapy massage. Both very good and fairly priced. The main pool was large and very shallow one end made it easier to get in as it was cold early season. Well maintained around the pool, the pool restaurant served the most amazing gyros lunch for under 10 euros. Good selection of cocktails at the pool bar too (different ones available to the sports bar). Beach is not really a beach it's just access to the rocky bay at the bottom of the hotel. But we had our hotel room pool and main pool for swimming so we didn't mind. The sports bar was the best asset of the hotel newly opened and all new facilities TV, pool tables, darts amazing cocktails (12 euros each) always came with free nut snacks! The food is very good and the restaurant overall is very nice. And the activities that are in the cocktail bar is the best and the activities around the pool like aqua zumba is amazing and really fun and the personnel is really nice and kind and fun. Highly recommend!!!

The hotel was beautiful, the pool area is very large and clean, the food by the pool is excellent and good value. The buffet breakfast is excellent, the staff are very friendly. The towels and sheets were changed every day and the beds were so comfortable. Would highly recommend. The bus stop to get to Rhodes town is right outside the hotel, goes every 20 mins and costs €2.50

A very nice hotel, large pool area, comfortable rooms. The cocktail bar is more of a sports bar, another bar/lounge would be a welcome addition. The buffet breakfast and dinner offers a wide variety. The staff are excellent, very helpful, in the dining room Niki and Margarita especially were brilliant, always smiling and attentive. There are bus stops directly outside and a taxi rank. Overall, a very relaxed, enjoyable hotel.
