Kura Kura Resort

This is my third time in visiting Kura Kura Resort since 2022. And they’re getting better and better. My room’s always at the Private Pool and I’m happy this year I didn’t find the scary bugs I found two years ago and also last year. I brought 4 of my friends this year and they also very happy and we have plan to come back next year. The staffs are always friendly, it’s like a family. Mbak Nita, mas Siswanto, mbak Emy, Rosi Fitri, new chef pak Fajar and also new bartender Didi and Jepri at the restaurant. I was thrilled when mas Sis and chef Fajar making a Sundanese menu as an option because they knew that we are Sundanese. I’m spoiled. And the dish chef Fajar made is excellent Sundanese food. I still drooling when remember his gehu and rujak cuka. I can’t wait to be there again, lying on the sand at beach and having cocktails while watching sunset.

The value for money is terrible. The rooms feel like 1970, worn out and unclean. The food is beyond boring and uncreative. Frozen seafood on an island... impossible. The service was really nice, but untrained. You have to pay extra for WiFi. Drinks and food are about ten times more expensive than in Karimunjava, about 5 kilometres away. The diving instructor is unbelievably cheeky. We were backpacking in Java for two weeks and only when I arrived at Kura Kura Resort did I get diarrhoea... after we complained, they gave us a room upgrade and dinner. Unfortunately it was still frozen seafood. The rooms were ok... Luckily we were only there for three days.

We were sent to Kura Kura Resort after a bad experience at another hotel close by and what a hotel this is. Soo peaceful, tranquil and yet typically Indonesian. We were met by “Herry”, a wonderful man, who couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were spacious and cool, the pool was perfect, complete with an overhead cover to keep the water temperature cool and the location, ideal. Just off the beach, near the jetty, close enough to everything. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone

Amazing! Kura Kura is a beautiful island resort and you will be transported to a different world. It's a perfect place to disconnect from tech and enjoy a natural detox. The accommodations are spacious and well furnished. The restaurant serves delicious Italian and local cuisine and the bar is well stocked. The place has great diving and snorkeling sites and the resort has in house dive center to take you out on fun excursions. Sit under a canopy of coconut trees with a book in your hand and enjoy a peaceful sunset with the evening breeze brushing your hair. You can also enjoy paddle-boarding in the lagoon. This is a really fun activity to learn and enjoy with your spouse or family. The hospitality is top notch and the staff are very friendly. The manager Sandro personally came to receive us and see us off at the harbour - nothing quite like a personal touch! We greatly cherish the time spent here, thank you Kura Kura :)

The experience in Kura kura resort was wonderful in every aspect: - the island itself is a little paradise with a blue lagoon and inserted in a natural park with a great biodiversity (birds, fishes, plants) - the staff is very professional, kind and helpful - even though the island is little there are plenty of activities (snorkeling, stand up paddle, Indonesian boat paddle, scuba diving, excursions, spa... And sun bathing of course) - the food was delicious with a great variety of dishes for every meal (both Indonesian and Italian cuisine) The only complaints consist in the meals timing (sometimes way too long) and in the fact that there's no medical personnel in the island.

Un posto meraviglioso, un' isola con un tesoro prezioso, la struttura, la natura, il mare, lo staff, la loro accoglienza con quel sorriso che ti scalda il cuore, e che dire della cucina e dei piatti veramente buonissimi. Le escursioni che portano a visitare le isole intorno e le bellezze sotto il mare sono da togliere il fiato. Un sogno che si è realizzato.

¡¡Kura Kura es una maravilla!!! Ideal para relajarse, desconectar y descubrir el fondo marino. Bebe y todo el equipo del centro de buceo son grandes profesionales. También el staff, súper atentos y amables, siempre te atienden con una sonrisa. Muy buena carta (platos indonesios e italianos, pasta y pan caseros...), estupendo servicio de limpieza de habitaciones y súper cuidado el entorno. Sin duda repetiremos :)

Siamo stati in questo splendido resort a Ottobre con mia figlia, mia sorella e degli amici, abbiamo alloggiato in una Family pool Villa e che dire? Un sogno ad occhi aperti. Già dall’arrivo ti senti coccolato dallo staff sempre presente e sorridente, il resort è veramente bello, elegante ma accogliente, perfettamente tenuto e pulito. Ogni giorno partono escursioni per fare snorkeling e vedere le isole attorno (da non perdere Krakal dove ci sono cottage in cui si può anche passare la notte da soli per godersi appieno la magia dell’isola incontaminata). Ci hanno addirittura fornito di scarpine per passeggiare nella laguna, maschera e boccaglio (anche per la mia bimba..e perfino i giochi da spiaggia per lei). L’isola è una vera oasi di pace, la natura ti avvolge e il mare cristallino ti consente di godere appieno le meraviglie del fondale marino, hanno diversi progetti di ecosostenibilità e si sente proprio l’integrazione del resort nell’habitat naturale. Infine, per tutto ciò che offre e per il livello del posto, a mio avviso, il rapporto qualità/prezzo è ottimo!

Siamo stati qui 5 gg , cercavamo un momento di relax dopo un bel tour … ha superato di gran lunga le mie aspettative! Personale super gentile, perfetta cura dei dettagli, si mangia bene … anche per noi Italiani! Sandro, il Direttore, é stato sempre super gentile e premuroso nei nostri confronti, anche in un nostro momento di difficoltà ha trovato il modo di darci una mano e fortunatamente é stato di grande aiuto… grazie Sandro! Comunque le camere sono molto grandi, pulite regolarmente ogni mattina. Ci sono escursioni da fare, principalmente per snorkeling e diving (anche per i principianti) visto che c’è una bella barriera corallina. Non c’è animazione, non essendo un villaggio turistico… per fortuna… volevamo proprio quello che abbiamo trovato!!! Puro relax! Grazie di cuore a tutto il personale del Kura Kura resort! Torneremo molto volentieri!
