Hotel berhampiran Park bench Sonnengruß, Karlsruhe

Have stayed at the Novotel chain before in several locations and Karlsruhe is up there among the best stays, excellent location, 5 min stroll and you’re in the city, excellent service and food, very quiet rooms too, that reminds me, I must find out where to get one of the chairs.

zunächst einmal müssen wir uns für das upgrade (suite auf der 10. etage) bedanken, ist ja schließlich nicht selbstverständlich! das kann unser urteil aber nicht beeinflussen. das hotel hätte sicherlich mehr möglichkeiten, wahrscheinlich fehlt es an den finanziellen verfügbarkeiten!? anders, als wir das von anderen leonardo-häusern kennen, ist dieses hier (ganz) erheblich in die jahre gekommen; der renovierungs- und instandsetzungsstau schaut überall um die ecke! das zimmer war nicht zu beanstanden, bett ok, bad ok, internet ok. frühstück war auch in ordnung. parken schwierig: entweder im freien (mit dem damit verbundenen risiko) auf verbotenen plätzen möglich; ansonsten in dem benachbarten (nicht mit dem hotel verbundenen) parkhaus gegen gebühr! für eine übernachtung auf der durchreise und/oder zum besuch einer veranstaltung im benachbarten konzerthaus/kongresstentrum ok, mehr aber - leider - auch nicht.

Wir waren in einer Gruppe von 12 für 2 Nächte in 12 einzeln genutzten Zimmern Anfang Mai 2022 dort. Zudem hatten wir 2 halbe Tage einen Meeting room mit Service angemietet. Ich habe solche Treffen schon öfters organisiert und kann daher feststellen, dass zum ersten Mal alles funktioniert hat. Alle Anschriften, Rechnungen und organisatorische Vorbereitungen passten vorzüglich. Die Zimmer waren modern, nicht überladen, sehr funktional und sauber. Der Check in sowie die dortige Betreuung während des gesamten Aufenthaltes war absolut top. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war überraschend umfangreich und abwechslungsreich. Die Bar wurde zwar „nur“ von der Rezeption mitbedient, reichte aber absolut aus. Dieses Haus ist für Städte-Reisende und Geschäftsreisende gleichermaßen empfehlenswert.

We stayed at the hotel for one night to visit an event in Karlsruhe. The hotel is located in a nice historic building, which is nice optically, but also means that noise insulation and heating is a bit dated. You could hear the trams passing by outside, which was quite a rumble each time, but I was surprised how well I slept nevertheless. The bed was great. The heating was more of an issue in early spring; it takes a long time to heat up the room. It's ok if you usually sleep in a colder room, but for my partner, it was too cold. The wooden elevator is historic (a technical monument), which I liked due to my interest in history and technology. Don't expect a highly modern device, though. Aside from that, the building is kept in working state despite its age, although some renovation could do wonders. This could have been a grand hotel when it was built, and it still has the potential if they were to renovate it. In operations, the hotel unfortunately looses points. Not having a kettle nor a safe in the room if below standard for a four-star plus hotel. The nozzle of the hair dryer fell of, apparently broken. You can't just walk in at night, you need to ring for the nightman to let you in after hours. The main door is locked and there is no side door or card reader for your room card. You need them to send someone and let you in. There is limited parking, which worked out for us. Things might be different is the hotel has more guests, then you might need to find other parking spaces. In total, if you need accommodation near the main train station and don't require too much, it's a nice place to stay, especially if you get a good rate. If you expect a four-star plus experience, the hotel falls short of reasonable expectation.

Am Vortag eröffnetes Hotel daher an der ein oder anderen Ecke noch Bauatmosphäre, besonders draußen. Lage in unattraktivem Gewerbe-Mischgebiet, mit Auto gut zu erreichen, zur nächsten Straßenbahn sind es ca. 300m. Die Zimmer und das Hotel sind modern und chic, das Frühstück hat uns auch in der Art der Präsentation und bez. der Auswahl gefallen. In dem gebuchten Hipster Studio kleine Küchenzeile mit Kühlschrank, praktisch sind auch Bluetooth-Lautsprecher für das Smartphone. Allerdings hat das Hipster Studio sicher nicht die aufgeführten 32qm! Überwiegend freundliches Personal. Zusammenfassend hat es uns gut gefallen, aktuell auch gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

I have chosen Radisson Blu based on my many experiences with the hotel chain I gained in USA before pandemic, boy was I wrong to chose them in Karlsruhe. The room was clean and as on the photos, in order and ready to be used - that's about it. At the arrival I have informed the receptionist we don't have a reservation but that I could do it online right away, she promptly offered to do it herself, when I asked about the price difference I have been told ''it should be more or less the same''. Her booking was 151 euros, the online was 71 euros.. so I booked online with my phone right in front of her. We needed to leave early in the morning so we were happy to learn the breakfast is 6.30am so we confirmed our attendance. When we presented ourselves at the breakfast 6.30am sharp we have been told there was an error and it will be served later. So we waited, when we were allowed to access the breakfast the staff lady realized our room number have not been charged for the breakfast, we offered to pay at the check out as the wallet was in the room upstairs, unfortunately the lady would not bend the rule and insist on the payment before consumption. Early morning, with a hungry 7yo, after waiting already because of wrong information provided, that's not what you want to hear. Fast forward, we are about to leave just to learn the parking was not part of the deal - 17euros from 9pm to 7.30am. Unfortunately the whole experience was not over, my daughter forgot her stuffed animal in the room, when I called the receptionist asking for options on how to get it (we were hours of driving away) I have been told they are ok to hand it over to a currier if I organize one. I am genuinely asking myself if Radisson Blu is still in hospitality business, the complete lack of focus or consideration of client's needs is just striking. I have provided my review to the Radisson Blu directly using the platform I booked with, they came back with automatic answer telling me they have ''taken care'' of the issues signed. I won't come back and I won't recommend.

Sometimes I ask myself: why happens this to me? I am booking an Ibis Styles hotel but getting the comfort of a five star one? What is wrong with these booking categories? Let me be clear and precise. Despite of the fact that the design will not win an award (carpet, interior in the rooms, the colors), this hotel convinced me in terms of cozy beds, cleanness, silence, sound-insulation and breakfast. As said: design – well – there are always two guilty guys: the one who designed and the other one who bought it. Nevertheless, I want to sleep and have a good breakfast and both was fulfilled on a high standard. Beds were cozy and comfortable, the room spacious, the bathroom separated between toilet and shower (which is not a bad choice). A well working rain shower system was just another example for even more luxury hotels which do not cover that. The breakfast in the morning: marvelous! The staff to be mentioned first: friendly, helpful and very attentive to keep the breakfast area and buffet clean. A well working coffee machine and on top: a self-brewing coffee service was also available – fancy. The quality and quantity of the buffet compared to its price: outstanding. I ate worse for more money at higher qualified hotels! It is ridiculous! This hotel deserves an excellent review and my personal marketing. Well done! We strongly recommend this place for sure!

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt für Wellness und Erholung. Sauna Erlebnis und Badelandschaft sehr gut. Die Peeling‘s und Getränke runden das ganze Erlebnis ab . Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist sehr lecker. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück ist sehr Vielfältig. Die S-Bahn stellt keine Lärmbelästigung dar. Personal war zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen. Wenn man sich erholen möchte und ein erholsames Wellness Erlebnis sucht ist es hier perfekt. Qualitativ gut und sauber.

Moin Folks, egal wie, ob geschäftlich und oder privat, hier kann man gut einkehren und wenn’s in die Tage gekommen ist, sauber und gut. Die Lage ist prima und ein guter Anlaufpunkt ist, gute Speisen gleich an der Ecke, der Frühstücksraum ideal eingebettet in das Haus, einfach Preis/Leistung sehr gut passend. Ich werde wieder einkehren und hab noch einmal in alten Erinnerungen schwelgen können, vor einigen Jahren mit einer sportlichen Truppe da gewesen, da war auch viel regionale Liebe im Spiel, nun es war einmal, jetzt zurück, 5-Sterne für mich, es klappte alles sehr flott, Anruf-gebucht-schriftliche Bestätigung und auch das einchecken, völlig problemlos, bin bald wieder da.
