Atomosphare was so good. Food is also good

Spent 4 nights at Mvuvi for a family wedding, and I can’t recommend Mvuvi more highly. Special mention needs to be made of the incredible staff. They are unbelievably friendly, attentive and helpful. Our comfort and enjoyment was a priority to them all. The food was absolutely incredible. Fresh, local produce, prepared beautifully. So tasty. Our room was fabulous. Bed was super comfy (fitted with mosquito net). The Aircon and ceiling fan were most welcome to ward off the heat to ensure a comfortable sleep. Bathroom was fab, and well kitted out with amenities. A beach bag was supplied with beach towels. Waking up and being able to walk straight out and into the warm ocean just a few metres away was the best way to start the day. You do need to deal with a few hagglers trying to get you to buy things but so long as you are polite but don’t engage with them, it’s fine. We rented boards for stand up paddle boarding from Mvuvi, and that was such fun. The pool facilities were fabulous, as was the food and bar service from the pool. The staff went all out to make the set up for the wedding look so spectacular, and for the big dinner the night before the wedding. So special. The owners of the resort were wonderful, and constantly checking to see guests were happy and well provided for. Overall an amazing experience. Haven’t felt so relaxed in years. Thank you Mvuvi.

What an amazing place to stay and right on a beautiful beach. Fantastic fresh food and the friendliest staff. Room was so comfortable and clean. Had a memorable stay for a family wedding. Would highly recommend. The most relaxing holiday I have had in ages.

On arrival I was upgraded to a sea view room which was decorated in semi traditional style which I loved. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant was very tasty. The pool was the best I’ve experienced on my stay on the island. Good size for lap swimming and just relaxing. They have a cute little rustic outdoor weights area and there’s a great little shop onsite (Duotone) which hires out kite surfing, windfoils and SUP’s, etc. Mvuvi has 2 locations. There’s also a great view from the top floor of the hotel. They do massage up there but you can go up and check out the view. I was at The Beach Lounge location but the other location was also a great spot for a meal (on the deck or upstairs) - it also has accommodation and a book swap library for avid readers. I hadn’t been lucky with snorkeling in ZNZ but Kiwengwa presented the best starfish viewing and a good mix of marine life which I hadn’t found in other locations. In general, Kiwengwa lists everything in USD but you can pay TZS if you ask. I found the northern end much busier with larger hotels and many Massai and shops. I preferred the quieter space of The Beach Lounge but the action was only a short walk away. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Nice clean rooms with choice of airco or fan (or both). Halfboard well worth it (we added that on site). Got an upgrade to an ocean view room with balcony on arrival due to leaking airco. Very relaxing. Nice pool too

Staying at the Mvuvi Beach resort was an experience that will not be forgotten soon. We were housed in their new property, practically next door, in a duplex room with stunning sea views. The accommodation was simply and tastefully decorated, having all the mod cons one would expect. The beach lounge and pool were a dream. Being on half board, we used to alternate dinner between the club and the restaurant housed in a beautiful thatched building. Food was always delicious. The staff Grace & Josef made it a point to go out of their way to please, organizing any excursions we took with ease. Our dream is to be able to return one day, for a longer stay.

Mvuvi was fantastic for us and fit the bill perfectly for a relaxing 5 days. The room was lovely and very clean and comfortable. The meals - we stayed half board so breakfast and dinner were included, but we also had lunch here most days (one at the sister site, The Beach Lounge, just along the beach) - were delicious and the specials changed daily to ensure a good choice throughout our stay. Portions were also generous. The staff were totally brilliant - very friendly, welcoming and seemed to genuinely care that we had a great stay. I couldn't praise them enough. We booked a couple of trips whilst here, the highlight of which was the traditional fishing boat out to the sandbar in front of the hotel. The best snorkeling we have ever had (we also did the Mnemba island trip which was good, but not as good as this one), and lovely to see some amazing starfish amongst the coral and other fish. All in all, I would highly recommend Mvuvi. Hakuna matata ❤️

Lovely hotel but very close to a couple of big Italian all inclusive hotels next door. Lots of "Maasai" blokes on the beach who harass you. Stick to the hotel and you'l enjoy it! Service was good and staff generally excellent. food was good as well - ask for extra chillies if you like it spicy.

I cannot say enough positive things about Mvuvi! The hotel is fabulously located on Kiwengwa Beach which is a quieter location but is beautiful. The team at the hotel were so lovely and attentive. We had a few electrical issues with our room, but they were absolutely on top of it and were able to move us to another room that was perfect. They were so helpful when organising excursions and being around to answer any questions. The hotel has such a family feel and was exactly what we were looking for for our holiday. The food at both restaurants is also delicious and uses so many local ingredients. Mvuvi/The Beach Lounge made for one of the best beach holidays we've had.
