Wonderful Home Stay Excellent stay at Blue Mountain Home Stay! Mr Budhi is a wonderful and gracious host, and booking was fuss free and quick. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and hygienic, and the breakfast was amazing! Location is convenient and only 700m away from thamel - highly recommend for any travellers.

Buddhi and his colleagues are hospitable and humorous, providing you with a wonderful experience and a sense of comfort. This is a guesthouse with distinct Nepalese characteristics. Some famous scenic spots in Kathmandu are nearby. Even if you just stay in the guesthouse,relaxing, looking into the distance and enjoying the garden view are all pleasant pleasures. The environment is clean and elegant. There is a dedicated kitchen here, offering meals, which are authentic and delicious! The boss is running it with great care!

I thoroughly enjoyed both of my stays at Blue Mountain, a quirky, clean, calm and perfectly located guest house 5 mins walk from Thamel. It was great to turn down the quiet lane and leave the chaos of Kathmandu behind. I loved the abundance of places to hang out on the rooftop and various balconies and discovered that quite a number of the other guests had stayed there a multiple times or were there on recommendations from other guests. Mr Budddhi, the owner, and his friendly caring staff all made me feel so welcome and definitely spoilt me with some complimentary meals and Diwali gifts. I felt extremely comfortable leaving most of my luggage and my very expensive laptop behind while I went trekking for 2 weeks. Returning back after my adventure felt like coming home. I thoroughly recommend Blue Mountain and especially the owner and staff. I will be coming back!

Останавливались в данном семейном отеле перед и после трека. Понравилось в отеле все: чистота, готовность персонала помочь и решить любой вопрос, очень гостеприимный и дружелюбный хозяин, есть собственный ресторан на террассе с видом на город, приемлемые цены, отличный душ с горячей водой. Расположение отеля очень удобное: в тихом районе, до Тамеля 10 мин пешком. Есть услуга: можно оставить личные вещи в отеле на время трека. Очень рекомендую данный отель!!!

It is one of the best hotel experiences I have had in all of Nepal! Very Cost-Effective! The staff were invaluable and went out of their way to help me navigate different goals and experiences during my first time in Nepal. They are more than a hotel, honestly felt like an extended family during my stay there!

Blue Mountain is a wonderful place to stay in Khatmandu, close to Tamel, room and bathroom very clean, every floor has a beatifull furniture, the owner and the staff are so friendly, delicious breakfast served in the roof with a spectacular view. Highly recommended.

Blue Mountain Home Stay, along with Mr. Buddhi and his staff, are an absolutely wonderful place to spend your time in Kathmandu. With breakfast included and other meals available on site, a great location right by the Thamel neighborhood, and the ability to book treks/taxis/other activities directly through Mr Buddhi this is the perfect one stop place to stay. I personally plan to come back to Nepal ASAP, and will be staying here along with my group again!

Great place to stay at, everything was good from food to bathrooms to accommodations. Also, I was coming as a student with other students as well so affordability was key and this place has it. They were also very helpful with miscellaneous things like travel from and back to the airport which was nice. Delicious breakfast is also included with no time constraints as long as you make it by noon. I can tell Mr. Buddhi and other staff work hard to keep the place peaceful and clean. Thank you 🙏

I just spent a very pleasant 64 days with Buddhi, his family and team, at Blue Mountain Home-stay in Kathmandu. I guess there are thousands of hotels in Kathmandu, but there's only one Blue Mountain Home-stay. I've stayed here 4 years now. I could look elsewhere. But why bother???? It's a small family business. The family and team are good people. Trust is a key word here!!!! The place is well-kept, maintained to a high standard, clean. It's close enough to Thamel, but far enough away from Thamel also, only 5 minutes walk. All the comforts of home, good wifi, nice little roof-top restaurant. I could go on!!!! I have already booked in for next September!!!!! Special thanks to Krishna - manager of the hotel (Buddhi's right hand man) - and Pramila - head of the housekeeping team. See you all next year!

Excellent hotel. Friendly personal and new infrastructure. Quiet place very close to Tamel - 5 minutes walking. I spent here 2 weeks in September 2024. The kitchen is also good, normal price for dinner. I sincerely recommend this hotel to every traveler.

I tried to stay in three hotels before choosing Blue Mountain. As a result, I stayed here for almost a week and a half until departure. Here I found what I needed: silence, cleanliness, attentive service, close location to Thamel and transport for travel around. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. And the forest is also near - it was also important for me. There is an opportunity to wash your clothes by yourself, there are wonderful terraces for relaxation, and the view from the roof is so beautiful! Thank you, everything was great! I really recommend Blue Mountain to all my friends.
