Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa

Had an amazing stay in a Lake View room complete with balcony and weather perfect. The spa is well worth a visit.

Everything about the trip was a disaster from start to finish. We had booked a Lodore Suite, and when we arrived were very disappointed in the room compared to what is advertised on the website. We tried to speak to the staff about this and were told theres nothing they can do, and it says the rooms vary on the website.This is true, however it does not explain how dramatically different they are. The staff said on the website it says what is in each lodore suite and why they are different, although this isnt on the website and when we tried to explain this, they was no explanation. The headline pictures for these suites have balconies and good views, our room had neither, and the images of our room are cleverly taken so you cannot see this fact. The spa was ok, nothing spectacular for the money it costs to go to. Booked into the Mizu restaurant for dinner. Other couples were brought in after us and served, we had to ask for our order to be taken as they had forgot. Food was good, but the drinks service was poor again, with drinks repeatedly forgotten. The breakfast brought to the room the next morning was the saddest looking Full English we have ever seen. One piece of each thrown onto a plate and barely warm. And to top it all off the apples in the room were bruised. Only highlight was the man working in the bar in the evening! Will not be returning. Its an expensive place to stay, considering the service we received.

Everything was great from location, room, restaurants, staff and spa. Will definitely return to this hotel soon

Would definitely recommend Mizu over the Brasserie for dinner. Excellent bartending staff, worth it to indulge in a cocktail or two. (Honey made a fantastic Monkey 47 cocktail) All staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We couldn't figure out how to connect a device to the smart TV (HDMI didn't work) to stream a show so we could only pick from terrestrial channels at bedtime. Very clean, very well decorated, very relaxing and comfortable environment. Free parking

We had lunch and it was poor. The ravioli starter arrived in a yellow sauce; the main course fish was the size of a Swan Vesta match box and arrived in the same tasting sauce as the starter; the pudding custard was apparently the same sauce only sweet.
