RJ Mahaal Hotel

We had to attend an official board meeting in Elephant Pass and hence we booked this hotel for over next day. The cleanliness of the hotel is very poor.  I was given a filthy room. The bathroom was smelly and wet. There were used sanitary napkins in the bathroom!!  This was most disgusting. Upon complaining and making a big fuss a different room was given later. This room was far better than the earlier one. However the overall cleanliness of the bathroom was way below acceptable standards. The shower cubicles, taps, mirrors and tiles have not been cleaned for a long time.  One year ago I went to this hotel and it was in a far better state than now.  My suggestion to the owner of the hotel is to hand over the management of it to a reputable hotel chain who will maintain and operate it for you.  As of now it is a low hygiene hotel.  The owners and the management should seriously look at the hygiene standards before giving rooms to guests.

This is a horrible place. Dirty dishes in the kitchenette. The bathroom had not been cleaned for ages it seems. Water spots everywhere. Weak wifi connection. No restaurant. They source food for you (for 10% more) from their own restaurant on the street outside. I bought lunch the first day and never again. I got sick!! No staff. The office was not open when I had to check out at 8:00 am and they don’t let you know the place is not open 24/7. Very, very amateurish. They blamed everything on the fuel crisis. Even not cleaning the room when I left them and went to work all day. I came back to an unmade bed. I shortened my stay of course and move to a real, well managed, clean and comfortable hotel elsewhere. Awful, awful!!
