Booked the property for 2 days after seeing good reviews but do not trust the reviews here , the host Arpit Agrawal is way worst as a person only , rude arrogant unapologetic, he false blamed us for quilts being burnt by us after we checked out a day early due to their worst kinda hospitality, the property was not at all well maintained , the buckets were broken, blankets quilts were full of dust , the sofa inside room was broken , charged us 400 per heater but the heaters didn't even work the whole night and when we didn't accept his blames he said "niche aake thappad marunga" and tried threatening us and was asking for more money even when we paid 2100 cancellation charges to them just because we didn't want our trip experience of last few days to be bad. The owner Arpit Agrawal is the Worst host you'll ever meet , book lap stays only if you want to ruin your trip completely. The room was quite dusty, and the common areas were not well-maintained, not at all resembling the pictures. The service was disappointing, and the property owners were rude, greedy and unhelpful. Additionally, they did not provide drinking water after dinner, citing being understaffed as the reason. I would not recommend staying here. Don't go there on the basis of positive reviews. We made the same mistakes. Even the locals warned us.

Firstly, you have to carry your bags up to a height of 1 km with all the load yourself. The services are terrible. The heaters are the worst, and they charge ₹400 per night for a heater that doesn't even work. When we complained, the girl managing the stay, Purva, said these heaters are only for warming hands and feet and can’t heat the room. Seriously, how can a heater that doesn't even work properly and is supposedly only for warming hands and feet burn a blanket? Absolute nonsense! Such unprofessional and deceitful people! I don't understand how they are getting good ratings. The food is awful, and that guy, Arpit Aggarwal, is incredibly rude. He talks big, making all kinds of baseless claims. We initially planned to stay for two days, but after experiencing their "hospitality," we decided to leave immediately. Their service and behavior are horrible. These people are extremely greedy and will do anything for money. After we checked out and paid the charges, they demanded a 100% cancellation fee. Despite this, we still paid them 50% as a cancellation charge and left. As we were returning to our car, Arpit called and accused us of burning their blankets, which was completely untrue. This shows their true nature. He even threatened to slap us, which was shocking and unacceptable. He kept bragging about going to the sarpanch and calling the police. When we told him we were ready to go to the police station, he backed out and said he'd hire a cab to bring the police. However, he never showed up at the station and instead claimed the police would catch us at the next village. To add to this, Purva pretends to be sweet and polite, but in reality, she’s just as greedy and manipulative. Her behavior is deceptive. I strongly advise against staying at this place. Other guests we met also shared similar complaints. They don’t even provide basic drinking water. Instead, they tell you to use a hammer to break ice from a drum, put it in a water heater, and wait for it to warm up. The worst part? There’s only one water heater for all the guests, so everyone has to wait for their turn. Even the cab driver and locals warned us not to stay at Lap Stays. It seems like many people have fallen victim to these greedy individuals. Avoid this place at all costs.

The perfect place to stay for new and old travellers alike! My boyfriend and I had booked for a different property, but on arrival found that it was not real/available. We wandered around Chitkul and found this gem! I completely disagree with a previous review, the owner is very kind, and friendly, giving many recommendations for walks in the area and the best views of the incredible surrounding mountains. The food was also excellent, and we ate here every night we stayed, really enjoying the nice environment and vibes of the stay. There's a nice 'chill out' communal room too, as well as the outdoor area with games, so you can meet fellow travellers and hang out irrespective of the weather. We plan to come back to Chitkul soon, and stay here again, the hospitality was incredible! Thank you so much!! Alexia

The most horrible and worst staff and lady owner. Nevre try this stay. There are many good options around the place. Pls avoid this place. The rooms and location are worst and not up to the mark. Food is too costly. And mainly the owner the most worst person.

We booked this place for our couple's getaway and it turned out to be the best decision. After lockdown, hosts at lap stays arranged such a beautiful stay for us. Also food is really good in taste also, full credit to the host for such experience.

Absolutely delightful stay! The host was incredibly kind and attentive. The tea is a must-try, and the food was served piping hot and delicious.
