This hotel, nestled halfway up the mountain, offers a traditional Japanese ryokan experience with tatami mats, which was a wonderful experience. During the day, the empty bedroom has a table, and in the evening, the staff will help clear it away and set up the futons. After our hot spring bath, we could just lie down and relax. When there are fewer guests, it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. One morning, I went to the onsen early and had the entire pool to myself. It was amazing to just soak and gaze at the lush green mountains opposite. However, the soundproofing isn't great. Our room faced the hallway, so whether we'd be woken up in the morning seemed to depend entirely on the other guests' courtesy. But then again, breakfast starts quite early, and we were usually up for that anyway.

The hot spring is very good. I came here with my family this time and felt like I was at home. The service was friendly and excellent.

Nice and helpful English speaking staff, you may call in advance to ask them pick you up from the station (because their hotel is a bit up on a slope )

Place was nice, but buffet dinner/breakfast was very disappointing.

The property is a little out of the way but you can arrange for the hotel to pick you up from where you are. The service here is good, staff are attentive and quick to assist. Upon arriving, the staff will greet you, bring you to your room and introduce the property. The facilities look old but it's clean and well maintained. The view from the balcony is very serene. Yukata was provided but Pyjamas is not provided, you can rent it for an additional charge. Meals are buffet style only.

Helpful staff and good location, room and amenities are a bit old though.

The service of the staff is superb and way beyond expectation.  I noticed that the yugata for my wife is men’s size and my slipper is women’s size. I hope they can be more prepared on the suitable sizes to be available for guest. The only thing I don't really like is the toilet room inside the Japanese style room. The wall paper has lots of stain spot, smelly and it is not quite comfortable to stay even for a short while to do your thing when you have a need.

Everything is better than our expectation. We will definitely go back in future.

Everything is good hot spring food

Cozy Japanese onsen hotel. Tatami room is great with multiple public onsen available. Great experience!

The hotel is located not too far away from The JR Bus station. There is a free shuttle bus service to and from the hotel. It is also a short walk to the ropeway station going up to the Roku mountain. Overall, staff services is good. Dinner and breakfast are great. Despite the hotel appears to be a little old, it preserves a traditional Japanese setting and relax atmosphere. It id worth to revisit.
