Coorg Wilderness Resort & Spa
4.7/541 Ulasan
The resort stood by its name and was actually an experience of wilderness in a true sense. It is built in the middle of a rainforest and most of the dense forest is restored as is. There are a variety of birds that you could see just from the balcony (depending on the view of the room chosen). I would recommend the wilderness hill view suite as it gives an uninterrupted sight of the rain forest extending till the hills surrounding the area. The room was exactly as shown in the pictures. The resort is not too old and the interiors looks fresh and welcoming. The facilities in the Resort are top class and one doesn't necessarily need to step out of the resort for anything and should truly have a relaxing stay. Every morning you get to wakeup at the sight of mist surrounding the property and calming sound of birds chirping. The facilities at the Resort that used was the Swimming pool which was very enjoyable. Spa facility also has a lot of options to truly rejuvenate. We opted for the adventure Safari which was a good off-roading experience which was followed by a visit to the farm maintained by the Resort. The early morning bird watching walk and the nature walks are also very good. The food @ Habba restaurant was good and most of the food offered was tasty. Service at the Resort is also good with very prompt and polite staff who are always ready to help. I just wished the Coastal cuisine restaurant ”Vembanad” had more options for vegetarians and the cuisine is not very welcoming for folks who are new to the cuisine and want to try it out. we totally passed on this one. The Interiors in the room and all the places inside the premises are classy and give a certain vintage feel. This is my second visit to Paul John Resorts and both of the stays have been wonderful !!!
Purple Palms Resort & Spa

I stayed there for 2 nights with my wife and daughter. One of the best Hotel/Resort I have stayed with. Room Service and House keeping was excellent. It was the fastest room service and house keeping we have ever experienced. The staff is so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very good and food was very very good and reasonably priced. The property is well maintained and though they say it's 4 Star it's not too far from 5 Star standard. Special Thanks to Front office Staff Mr. Suhail and F & B ***ager Mr. Shekar for taking care of us very well. Will definitely visit again.
The Tamara Coorg

Tamara Coorg is one of the best resorts I've stayed in. I was here on a staycation with my wife and stayed in the Superior Luxury Cottage, which has an amazing view of the valley. The Superior Luxury Cottage is at a height which gives you a great view of the surrounding greenery from the sundeck. The interiors of the room is all wood, which gives a natural and rustic feel. Even though the outside temperature is pleasant, there is both AC and fan in the room. One of the highlights of our stay was the food. There is only one multi-cuisine restaurant in the resort - The Falls. We opted for an all-meals plan during booking, and we ordered for Vegetarian, Vegan and Jain food during our stay. The Food and Beverage Executive, Mr. Dinesh was amazing. His hospitality, food recommendations and helping us serve food according to our dietary restrictions is commendable. Mr. Dinesh's recommendations of local delicacies helped us experience various kinds of dishes. There is a good recreation center as well with many indoor games. We played many of the games which were well maintained. Although there is an indoor swimming pool, outdoor swimming pool and an outdoor sports arena, we didn't try those. There are many activities as well offered to guests, some of which are included and some of which are paid. I'd suggest planning ahead of time for the activities and reserving them. We tried the towel art workshop that Srikanth showed us, and the coffee scrub workshop that Karthik showed us. Both of them were good. We wanted to try the spa, but they didn't have a proper couples package and you had to purchase two separate therapies which would be done together in a couple room. For a 5-star resort, the housekeeping could have been better. Overall, a good resort and would recommend for a good staycation in nature.
