Just spent 13 nights at this wonderful little paradise. I’m going to do a detailed review with pros and cons, so apologies if it’s a little long! We arrived early but that wasn’t a problem, it gave us time to process the passport check in, and we were greeted by both the owner and manager, Hrissto and Pen. They provided us with fresh water melon and we sat having a couple of beers in front of the sea until our room was ready. Hrissto and Pen are delightful. Very friendly, laid back and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and if there was anything not quite right, they would deal with it immediately. Accommodation There are 8 rooms set in the garden/beach area. All the rooms have a seaview. 4 of the rooms are original and are actually on the beach front. You step out of your door, take 2 strides and you are on the beach. These are rooms 1 - 4. They all have different advantages/disadvantages. We stayed in number 3 which was ideal for us, but Pen offered us other rooms if we wanted them as they became available. We chose not to move. Room 1 is the largest of the 4 with a sofa area but it is also the nearest to the restaurant so you have more people walking past your room at meal times and therefore less privacy. Room 2 has a larger patio area but again more people traffic on route to the restaurant. When I say people traffic!! There are only a max of 20 or so people in the resort, and a few people walking along the beach. Room 3 and 4 were furthest from the restaurant (approx. 40 metres) and were much more private but smaller with smaller terraces but big enough to sit out. The other 4 rooms are surrounding the pool/garden area, angled in such a way for all to get beach/sea views. The furthest room is behind the pool bar area with direct views over the infinity pool and to the sea. Even then you are only 30 metres on to the beach. 3 of these garden rooms are more modern with 2 bedrooms, having been built as an extension to the resort. They are more cuboid in design with traditional straw roofs to blend in with the resort. The disadvantage of 2 of the rooms is that they have the road running behind them and although it’s not a very busy road, you do hear the traffic. The second bedroom is small, and although there is aircon in the main bedroom, there is no aircon in the second bedroom. So if 3 of you are staying and you want some privacy with the door shut, it would be hot. They do provide a fan for the second bedroom. The bed in the small room is also a large single fold out not a permanent bed. There is also only one bathroom and unfortunately you have to walk through the small bedroom to get to it. Our room was absolutely wonderful. The architecture of the ceiling was mesmerising. It was spacious and didn’t have that musty smell that tropical rooms often have. The aircon worked efficiently, the bed was very large and we had good amenities including, tea/coffee making facilities and glasses, mini fridge, hairdryer, shampoo, tissues, dental
