Koh Jum Beach Villas "A member of Secret Retreats"

This place is as amazing. The service was superb. The villa we stayed in was just perfect, our kiddos just loved it. Eak the barman was next level, the best cocktails I’ve had. Mr Sing took exceptional care of our kids in the evening, he took them ‘crabbing’. The trip across to Phi Phi was another highlight. I just cannot speak more highly of the whole experience staying at Koh Jum. It is certainly not a party resort, super duper quiet, just a fantastic place to relax and forget about the world for a week or two.

Wir hatten eine Villa mit Pool und Meeresblick, diese ist einfach bezaubernd, unter anderem, weil man von der Villa aus keine 20 Meter zum Meer hat. Dort findet man einen sehr kleinen aber schönen Platz mit 2 Liegen, die zu der Villa gehören. Man sieht zu gut wie keine Menschen am Meer, einfach nur traumhaft. Die Insel ist noch sehr naturbelassen. Wir haben selten so einen sauberen Strand in Thailand gesehen wie hier. Die Mitarbeiter/innen des Hotels sind sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ich würde behaupten schon fast familiär. Das Abendessen ist bisher das beste, welches wir in Thailand gegessen haben. Wir sind einfach begeistert und würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Eine absolute Empfehlung!

There are very limited services on the small island which is comprised of free Muslim fishing villages you won’t find a soul on the beach. We booked a small villa because they’re only two of us and we’re actually working but you’ll find a lot of families that book larger that often comes with its own pool, I love the staff here because they’re always smiling and are very happy

Koh Jum Beach Villas is an incredible resort on an amazing, small and unspoiled Island. The Villas are incredible. We stayed in a two bedroom villa with pool and it was extremely luxurious. The attention to detail and staff service is incredible. The restaurant provides exceptional food and great value. If you are looking for a villa / resort at the high end of service then look no further. The island itself is small, peaceful and beautiful. We still found loads to do via day trips organised by the resort (all extremely good value and really professionally organised), exploring the island on bikes and scooters or going to try out various small (and amazing) local cafes and restaurants. We had a holiday of a lifetime and can't thank the team enough for making our stay so memorable.

Words and pictures will not do this place justice. It is perfect. The location and the resort itself was just perfect. I never give 5 star reviews and I never voe to return to somewhere again but I will be back to this place. I won;t go into too much detail but if you are after a remote, peaceful, beautiful, relaxing holiday this place ticks the boxes. The beach is one of the best I have ever been on. We hardly saw others and the the water was so safe and warm we spent many hours exploring the beautiful shells and swimming in the sea. Ther hermit crabs were hours of fun for the children. The communal dining area, bar and pool were wonderful. The food was very tasty indeed. However, the local restaurants (walkable) did amazing thai dishes at a tiny fraction of the cost. We eat at both the local restaurants and the resort. The coctails were amazing! Expensive but to be expected on such a remote island. We happily paid the higher price, the quality was great, ther service even better. Regarding the service, all the staff were wonderful. The perfect balance of leaving you alone but attending to your needs with drinks and food whenever asked. I also loved that the resort did not encourage tipping as they had already factored it into all the costs. This was very much appreciated as we did not need cash and did not need to worry about how and who to pay. The villas all looked amazing. We stayed in a 3 bed pool Villa. Baan Don. It was lovely. I am sure they all are. Next time we will certainly attempt to get one on the beach but it was not far to walk either way. I LOVED the eco status of the resort. I really appreciate the efforts they are going to to be self sufficient and reduce waste. My children particularly enjoyed learning about the plants and was they were trying to reduce waste. Again, i have purposely left out lots of details because sometimes they can ruin the surprise. All I can say is that I have high standards, I research my desitinations well and this place went abover and beyond expectations. If you like the idea of a luxury escape to a remote (practically untouched by tourists) island, this is your place. Thank you Koh Jum for being the highlight of this families October holiday. This place is like heaven on earth: Beautiful and lush surroundings, delicious food, so quiet and private, large villas and filled with staff who really enjoys working here. Our family of five including three teenagers stayed for 8 nights and none of us wanted to leave. We spent the days swimming, reading, biking, eating, fishing and having LOTS of massages by magic Arun and her team. We will definitely return to KJBV one day! Very Chill beautiful resort. I booked this resort as part of my dream vacation for my 50th birthday. I was attracted to the beauty of the resort itself as well as the fact that they provided many tours through the resort. I was under the impression it would be an excellent place to stay, and do some great snorkeling, and some great tours this, however, this was to be my biggest disappointment about this place. When we got there we were told that really there was only one place that had fantastic snorkeling, and it was on a speedboat and would cost about $740 to go. I didn't mind paying that since it was a private tour on a speedboat. We had been on many tours at a previous location and we're really disappointed with the tour that they provided. On our tour we were given no guide that went in the water with us like we had on previous tours. The most disappointing thing is they provided us with no water and no beverages to drink even with lunch. Lunch was a very sad affair of only a small little cold chicken stirfry and some rice, not even a Coke, not even a water. We were really given no guide just a driver who drove us out to snorkeling areas and told us to snorkel which we did on our own. Overall for what we paid for this tour it was a very disappointing experience, and both of us felt that it wasn't as great as the tours we've been on previously at another location. The other tours we were on we were given a guide that went snorkeling with us in the water to point out things we may have missed on our own as well as a full cooler of beverages that had water, iced tea and Coke. The main reason I wanted to stay at this resort was because I thought that they had these fantastic tours that that was really not the case. They only have one location that they said had great snorkeling, and the snorkeling at these locations I would give about a 7 out of 10. The quality is snorkeling isn't their fault, but the quality of tour is and in my opinion, it wasn't good. The rooms themselves are beautiful w a private pool that is very small but nice. The rooms are open air during the day. I was worried about mosquitos because I was bitten badly at our previous location and I was pleased that I was not bitten. Rooms are completely open air, rooms are completely open during the day and they are closed up at night. I was very glad we had a pool villa w ocean view. I would not hesitate to book this room category. The food was really good. I enjoyed the room service being no additional charge. We enjoyed many meals in our villa and that was awesome. Many reviews said that the food was expensive. I didn't find that at all. I found the food to be very reasonably priced being that it's at a resort. You could eat dinner for two for 45 American dollars that to me is a very good deal when you're at an ocean resort. This resort is very peaceful place very relaxing.
