It's a nice and relaxing beach, to get away and wind off a bit. The room was super clean and new, and was quite nice with a balcony. There are very few plugs in the room, and the bedside plug was obstructed by the mattress and the bed, so it was unusable.
There's a pool but it had a lot of sand from the kids running in and out of the beach and jumping directly into the pool... The beach, facing sunrise, is perfect and one of the nicest ones on the island, along with the larger one on the other bay next door. The SUPs and kayaks were old and broken. It had a very nice breakfast, which was included.
Service was good, but I was upset that they claimed the hotel was going to be fully booked and couldn't offer a late checkout, although there were plenty of rooms available on trip.com to book, and when later that day I said that, they changed the story and said my room was already booked for the next day.

I have been to Koh Phangan about 20 times. I think this resort is the best hotel in Koh Phangan. The amenities, hospitality, food, and friendly staff are truly amazing. Non, one of the staff members, was very accommodating to us. I would recommend any family or couple that doesn't like to party to stay at this resort. But if you are a partygoer, you would be better off staying at Haad Rin or Ban Thai.

Overall the hotel was nice but in several point not what we expected: We booked a „villa with sea view“. There was no sea view at the villa that was assigned to us. You couldn’t see the sea neither from within the villa nor from the pool nor from the sun beds nor from the outside bath tub. The only way to see a glimpse of the sea was to stand up on a certain spot on the terrace. That’s not what we expected from a room advertised as „with sea view“ and the (trip.com) booking page also suggested otherwise. When we complained, we got assigned another villa where we could see the sea partly. Thank you for that. However, the manager told us that the photos from the booking page were in fact another villa. But it's not my responsibility to make sure that the photos and pictures provided on booking pages are correct. The hotel has to take care of that! This holds also true for the next issue: The gym was closed due to renovation. In the booking process, they advertised a huge fitness center with lots of machines. Now it’s shut down and we did not get any information about this. The „mini gym“, which does not even have at least one multi exercise machine, is nothing but a bad joke and no replacement at all for a proper gym! Again the staff told us they would inform about this on their website. When I checked that, I still found the photos of the large gym on their own website. It was just called ”mini gym”. But how am I supposed to know what they mean by that and that the provided photos are no longer correct??

The Vannee is a 3.5 star hotel but we can’t do half stars here. The hotel lacks details on most ends but overall a decent place to stay. The breakfast was not good for the 2 days of our stay. The true standout aspect of this hotel is the massive pool that expands the length of the grounds. There is a swimup pool bar.

Thankful that this property was available for us to book during the busy April 2023 Full Moon Party season. For a beachfront property with a swimming pool, I find their rates are super cheap. We arrived at noon time and we were allowed to check in immediately. Our room was spacious and came with a veranda. The place could be cleaner but it never got a point that we felt it was bothersome. Make sure your windows are locked! On our third night, we discovered our windows were unlocked from the get go but luckily all our belongings were intact. The staff were friendly and helpful. The resort is within walking distance to the Full Moon Party and Haad Rin Pier so that's definitely a huge plus. If you're planning to party and just need a decent and affordable place to crash, then this is it.

Had terrible experience with the old lady who is a hotel owner/manager. Me and a friend of mine booked the hotel for 6 nights, turned up a day later than was supposed to and discovered that she put some other guests in the room. The explanation was that we didn’t notify the hotel that we would be 1 day late. The hotel has a right to do so according to their policies. But the lady’s attitude was horrible, no help was given (we came to the island during so called “Full moon party” time when even the worst hotels sell their rooms for crazy money). It was impossible to find anything at that time and we were tired and desperate after a long trip. So I suppose the greediness was the driving force to resell the room. No prior notification was given to me about the situation. The lady just said “leave” and was refusing to return money (I guess because she would lose the money if she cancelled herself). In the end the police helped us solve the situation and we had to move to another island. “Trip” also gave me quite a bonus for this. I love Thailand and their people but that was the worst experience for the whole trip

Fantastic value for money for accommodation right on the beach. Each individual 'bungalow' is no more than 100m from the beach and they are all angled to give privacy from the rest of the hotel guests. Beach is stunning with good levels of privacy, and the sea is lovely. If you don't fancy swimming in the sea then there is also a swimming pool right on the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and the location was excellent, with the centre of town being only a 10-minute stroll away. If you are interested in hiring mopeds then the staff at the hotel have a contact that we used (cheap prices, ฿150 a day). Would definitely return!

Из плюсов: хороший пляж, тихая бухта, где прозрачная водичка и не было волн и водорослей, очень мало людей, на весь пляж от силы 5 небольших отелей. Вечером есть рестораны на пляже.
Классный массаж про отеле с шикарным видом на море, нам понравился, ходили каждый день.
Хороший бассейн, красивая небольшая территория, стандартные завтраки без излишков, но и голодными не оставались.
Очень милый персонал, помогали решать любые вопросы! Даже переселили нас в более дорогой номер без доплаты.
В номере все аскетично, но для удобства есть все необходимое.
Из минусов: удаленность от цивилизации, обязательно нужен транспорт, как минимум байк, на такси не наездитесь. Рядом негде даже купить фрукты, до ближайшего 7 елевен ехать на байке минут 7-10, пешком в горку не дойти.
В целом нам понравилось проживание в этом отеле, думаю что вернулись бы еще туда!

Haad Yao beach has become one of the best walking/swimming/nightlife beaches on the island, and Bayview sits right at its North end. You get a beach resort experience -- pool, restaurant, convenience store, and frequent room cleaning -- all for a guesthouse price. I have stayed at Bayview many times, and I always return. The views from some of the rooms are magnificent! Prices fluctuate quite a bit by demand (e.g. higher during Fullmoon parties) but if you keep this in mind, it is possible to work with staff to secure good deals.

AAlipallyLet’s start with the staff. Tik and all the team are so amazing and we couldn’t have asked for better service Sadly on arrival we were met by building works from the main decking area and a pool that just looked broken. Tiles missing and lacking water in areas. We were informed that due to this being the quiet month (pre school holidays ). That this was the only time to get it done !! We were given a free spa but again however nice the drilling noise and building work could be heard throughout. The management who were present did not seem to acknowledge that this was a problem for us. The view from the bungalow was amazing. However I wouldn’t have booked it if I had known that it sat on a beach that you couldn’t enter. An unswimmable area due to low tide and sea urchins. This was our luxury part to our holiday and sadly apart from the staff it was very disappointing. I would have been informed of the disruptive building work during my stay and the management failed to address this issue and the poor pool maintenance.

PPengguna TetamuI had travelled to Haad Rin for the first full moon party post covid with two fellow travellers (aged 25-35). Moonstone was an incredible place to have this experience from. As a female in a room by myself I felt incredibly safe. Stefan and Joy who own the property are on hand for all your needs; scooter rental, laundry, drinks and good conversation. The property only has ten rooms making for a very intimate stay, all rooms have a beautiful view and most overlook the sea or both pool and sea - this was certainly a stay where I didn't feel guilty to lounge by the pool. Moonstone is also an excellent location to explore North and South, I did not feel as though I was missing out not staying in central Haad Rin. I am already missing my balcony where I finally enjoyed a nice bottle of red wine from the local supermarket! A big shout out to Stefan and Joy for also escorting us to the full moon and giving us all the help and advice we needed. This is possibly the nicest stay I had in Thailand.

MMeganWe had a really lovely stay here! Our room was bright and comfortable. The girls on reception were extremely friendly and helpful - they always greeted us with a smile and helped us book a snorkelling day trip, muy Thai and also our transport back to Bangkok. Our room had a lot of mosquitos around at night so prepare some spray or ask reception for some mosquito repellent that you can burn outside - they are always happy to help.
The hotel is right on the beach front and it was such a nice location on the beach we didn’t even use the pool. The sun is on this side of the island pretty much all day so you are able to bun bathe and then watch the sunset at night.
The restaurant food was nice - mix of western and Thai foods. Would highly recommend a coconut smoothie!
Thank you for such a lovely stay to end our time in Thailand. We will definitely be back in the future.

PPengguna TetamuWe were here for 4 nights as a couple. Basically we liked our stay very much, but we can not recommend the small bungalows. We stayed in the cheapest bungalow and it was so small that you could not even place the open suitcase. In addition, windows and doors were not tight, so we had many mosquitoes in the room. Unfortunately, the air conditioner was also right above our heads, so we both caught colds. When using the shower, the whole bathroom floods because the drain is at the other end of the room. Also, there are no electrical outlets in the bathroom. But otherwise the room was clean and the bed was large and comfortable. We especially liked the hotel grounds. It is really in the middle of the beach, there is soft sand everywhere and the restaurant is also right at the water. There is also a pool table and a ping pong table, both of which we used very often. Special praise must be given to the helpful, friendly hotel staff, who were always eager to make one's stay as comfortable as possible. When we arrived the first evening, our window would not close. There were some communication difficulties with the ladies at the reception because they really didn't understand a word of English. In the following days, however, all the ladies at the reception could speak perfect English, which made communication much easier. Nevertheless, the ladies gave us a new room for one night, which was a great relief. Right next to the hotel is a scooter rental. We rented a scooter here, which was really uncomplicated and cheap. In the area there is very cheap and delicious street food, for example at ”Mama Thai Food” or ”Life Style” with super nice owners. The breakfast in the hotel is delicious and there is a choice of several dishes. However, it is ”a la carte” and you can only order one dish. The portion is a bit small for a grown man, so you would actually have to order 2-3 dishes to get full. Even the most expensive breakfast ”Milky Bay Breakfast” includes only 2 slices of toast, 2 fried eggs, a few mushrooms, 2 slices of tomato and a single piece of bacon (?!). Fortunately, free fruit (pineapple or watermelon) is always offered as well, which helps you get a little fuller. Conclusion: if I had to rate our room exclusively, I would only give the resort 2 out of 5 stars. I've slept in beachfront bungalows in Thailand that cost between 10€-20€ per night and were more comfortable and modern than our bungalow (50€ per night). However, due to the fantastic service, the great facility and the nice staff I give 4 out of 5 stars and the following advice: Don't book the smallest, cheapest bungalow! We saw the better rooms from the outside and they looked really big and modern. If we had stayed in such a room, I would have definitely given 5 out of 5 stars!

Kkathayos ChinnapongseI came to stay at Sunrise resort 1st time in June and recently a few day ago. I have to say that I am very happy with Sunrise Resort...lots better than I expected. Start from the location..which is right on Had Rin white sand beach. Good location for full moon party and of course very peacfull before and after. You can easy go down to the beach early in the morning to watch the sunrise and at night to see the moon and enjoy nice cool sea air with your favorite drinks. My room was nice& clean. i got my room on the 2nd floor both time....good ocean view and swimming pool. All staff from the restaurant / front desk /and beach bar are very friendly . All the boys and Pee Kul at the beach front bar are very joyfull. Pizza and cheese burger is the best ...Thai manu also good. Breakfast was good...I got chicken fried rice every morning...and of course you can chose another manu. Location of the resort is easy walk from Had Rin pier when you arrive the island. Around resort you can find lots of restaurants and lots of shops and lots of things to enjoy. There's also a few motorbike rental shops.. you can go places around Koh Pang Ngan easy . will definitely come back and stay again here.

PPengguna TetamuWe had a very pleasant stay at the Summer Luxury resort. The rooms are really spacious and the resort is pretty with a nice pool and a sea view from the restaurant. We went in December and I believe there is a high tide at this time so there was no beach, but this didn’t really bother us as we didn’t have great weather anyway during our stay. The downside of this hotel is the location, there is a dirt track to get to the hotel which I personally wouldn’t feel too comfortable walking down at night. We hired a car as we found that there wasn’t many restaurants / things to do within walking distance. Having said that, the restaurant at the hotel is really nice, we enjoyed the food and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was also really good too. The reception staff were also friendly, I didn’t get his name but one man in particular made our stay with his welcoming and warm attitude, and willingness to help us with any queries/trips we wanted to book etc! Another member of staff at the poolside bar was very friendly and attentive too. Unfortunately the cooking class wasn’t open due to maintenance during our stay which was a shame as we had rain most days and found ourselves looking for things to do. The spa was also closed for maintenance on one of the days. Overall, the hotel is nice, and I would definitely recommend if you’re not too bothered about hiring a car/scooter to get around.

Been here for about 2 days and the receptionist is very kind and helped quickly when we accidentally locked ourselves out. There is Wifi. Good airconditioning. Hotel is at the beach. All you have to do is open your door and walk into the water.

PPengguna TetamuWe are here at the moment. Staying 4 nights total. Very good value for money. The location is great, by the beach. About 15 minute walk from Haad Rin where Full moon party happens. Nice bars near by, shops. Majority of customers young people from all around the world. The room was basic but clean an nice. Very good value for money. Lovely own terrace to sit in. The hotel staff is super friendly and good service. Lovely hotel dogs too. Pool area very nice. Restaurant is ok, serves variety kinds of foods and drinks. Travel agency on site where you can book tours, scooters etc. It was very quiet on peaceful for first few days but when people started to arrive for Fullmoon Party the nights were difficulty sleep since the Brit youngsters were shouthing and partying in front of the rooms rather staying in pool area or the beach. Hope the staff would remind guests that there are places where you can stay and party 4am in the hotel area other than in front of other peoples bungalows and rooms.

LLivesofrealexpatsI had never heard of TheraThip and I had been on the island for a while. I can tell you 100% that TheraThip is the islands best kept secret. The rooms are built into a cliff face and the view is one of the best. The food is also great and they have multiple services for you to choose from, so you don't really have to leave.
