The location is a bit out of the way. While there are a few beach restaurants nearby, it's right next to fishing and tour boats. The sea view is decent, but otherwise, there's nothing much to offer. The hotel doesn't even have a proper swimming pool. The staff were reasonably friendly, but it felt more like an apartment building than a hotel. It might be acceptable for around 300 yuan, but we paid over 1400 for a duplex room, which was absolutely not worth the price.

Relaxing trip. Will come visit again

We stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! You feel incredibly welcome from the moment you arrive. The staff are so kind and helpful. Plus, the food is delicious, and you can even take a cooking workshop for an afternoon – they have a great head chef. The rooms are also extremely comfortable and very inviting. Just keep in mind that it's located in a quiet part of the island, though there are plenty of restaurants nearby and even a 7-Eleven right across the street. We already miss it!

Super relaxing 2 night stay at The Beach. After 10 days travelling through Vietnam we were in need of relaxation and The Beach didn't disappoint. Beautiful second floor room overlooking the beach and sea towards Koh Tan in the distance. Super clean bathroom with double sinks plus double showers! Beautiful big comfy bed with great pillows and excellent quality linen and crunchy duvet - we slept very well indeed. Our room was furnished beautifully with a table set up for in room dining, plus a small kitchen with all needed for cooking small meals if guests wished to do so. Great fridge with complimentary drinking water refreshed daily. Living space with sofa and excellent TV with YouTube, Netflix etc. Nice big balcony with sliding windows that open fully across the full width of the room plus chairs and coffee table for evening relaxing. The piece de resistance is the fabulous egg shaped bath on the balcony, big enough for a cheeky bubble bath soak for 2 ☺️ Thong Krut itself is quiet by day and by night with little activity but the boats going to/from Pig Island etc. Some excellent Thai restaurants very close by plus a growing selection of French/European restaurants to choose from. If you're looking for a spot to relax, chill, enjoy some great food and drink, and let go of the stresses of life then you'll enjoy The Beach very much.

The most amazing relaxing get away anyone could imagine. Everyone was so nice and accommodating and always made sure I had everything I needed. With the beach only a few steps away and a breathtaking balcony view I would definitely come and stay again and again given the chance! Thank you The Beach Samui for a life changing experience!

Amazing stay, feeling very refreshed

The Beach Samui is absolutely fabulous and excellent value for money. Located on a very quiet corner of Koh Samui, we found really lovely food nearby but none of it as good as the food served in the hotel. We did find ourselves driving most days to see and do things but we were fine with that. We spent a week in Choengmon which is much more lively, but the entire week in Choengmon we wished we had stayed in the Beach for longer! Definitely go for breakfast included because a) it's delicious and generous and b) you can enjoy it in your suite or the dining room. We stayed the week over Christmas and even though there were plenty of guests, we always found the pool and dining room to be very peaceful and quiet. Our kids (4 and 6) loved it.

This hotel is perfect for couples, especially for a honeymoon. The decor is beautiful and it opens onto the beach. It is on the sunset side of the island, but this side of the island is very quiet and a distance away from the hustle and bustle of Samui. If you’re wanting a relaxing, romantic, tranquil sunset getaway, then this hotel is perfect. If you’re looking to party or socialise, then I would advise to stay on the other side of the island. Thank you to the staff who were truly lovely and helpful!

Good hitel

We lived in two different rooms, everything is super, but the Grand Suite is simply amazing. I have already described my delights in the previous review. The hotel is incredibly good. But if in your understanding the beach is drinking adults, screaming children and dozens of barkers and sellers, then this is definitely not for you!!!! Not a wide strip of deserted shore, palm trees and friendly dogs, the sea is shallow, but good at high tide! In general, this hotel is now one of my favorites.

Great service, great hotel, great room! On the beach the porter brought compliments in the form of watermelon slices. Breakfast was good, brought to the room. We checked out early, breakfast was beautifully packed for us to take with us. Such care for their guests, it's worth staying here!

It is a small and charming hotel. Very friendly and attentive staff. The rooms are well designed and well maintained. Good food in the restaurant. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this could be your place. Very small but relaxing pool. Several beach bars nearby to eat/drink something (different options). Free room service, a plus. As cons: a bit far from everything and the hotel beach is not the Thai paradise beach that you might be looking for. In fact, you can't swim in it. These cons are fixed by renting a motorbike to explore the island, which is a paradise in its entirety. If not, there is nothing to do there other than rest, or take an excursion to the islands opposite. Ugly detail: going to get a bowl from the cupboard (a bit high), my 10-year-old daughter accidentally dropped it on the floor, breaking it. We called them and they came to pick it up. The surprise was the next day when they gave me a bill for 400 baths for the replacement. We spent over 15,000 baht on our 5-day stay. I think it was unnecessary. I don't want that ugly detail to spoil the hotel's rating, but I had to mention it.
