We visited Nang Yuang in 1994, and we remember that it was really a paradise. The 6.2.2022 we came back. When You arrive they tell You that You can not bring plastic bottles or food with You. No fins and beach shoes are allowed, and no towels on the sand. They want to protect the coral! I said that I would go for free diving and snorkling to the Japanese gardens, where the water is at least 6m deep. No way! Once You are on the island, You will see diver rookies with the whole equipment on the beach. You will find sunbeds for rent (no towels on the beach...). The main part of the island is covered with constructions like restaurant, storehouse etc. (no plastic bottles, no food …). ATTENTION on the beach: It seems that there is nobody, who takes care of the beach: This means that You can find in the sand everything that the sea delivers: plastic bottles, every kind of floaters, LIGHT BULBS etc. I spend 20 minutes in collecting rubbish from the beach, and brought it to the lady, where I paid 200 baht entrance fee asking her if that is what I paid for. She told me that the island is rented out to a private company for 30 years. I recommend to watch the pictures with attention!!!
