Hotel berhampiran Sairee Sunset Luxury Villa di Koh Tao

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay here. The location of the hotel is amazing, on the beach along a very busy ***** of restaurants and beach bars which was great. However, the hotel itself was sadly a let down. The hotel keep whistling birds in cages just outside the hotel rooms so expect to be woken at all hours by birds whistling louder than we could believe. The room we were in was very basic to the point where the only plug socket was by the front door, so to dry my hair I had to stand at the front door with no mirror or chair… The shower was a fixed height (very low) so my partner had to be on his knees to wash his hair and I had to bend significantly despite not being very tall. The room was very dark with basically no natural light at all throughout the day. The bedding was just a thick blanket, that I imagine isn’t washed between guests, in between two loose sheets so the blanket kept coming out of the sheets. The toilet was very temperamental and wouldn’t always flush properly. One positive is that the air con was strong however to circulate the air we also had the fan on and this made an annoying screeching noise when it turned to a certain point, which again, woke us up during the night. We didn’t have breakfast because we had a look at what was on offer and decided to go elsewhere as there are lots of nice local places to eat. The staff also weren’t the most pleasant and even got our dates confused when we checked in. Sadly wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at Tarna Align. The staff are so LOVELY, every single one of them, especially to my little girl. It is a little uphill, but it is worth it for the views - the little golf buggy/tuk tuk is great for taking you up and down to the main strip and we found it was always out and about and we would just jump on and off it. We got a great room with a huge balcony. It was clean and huge. Breakfast was really good, the man at the egg station was lovely and I liked the way you could order coffees, their fresh smoothies were delicious. Although a little uphill from the main strip I really think you would struggle to get this quality of hotel for the price. Would recommended.

Pulau yang sangat indah, saya tidak ingat berapa kali saya datang ke Pulau Penyu untuk bermain. Kali ini kerana bersama ibu, saya menempah hotel baru di tepi laut. Kemudahannya cukup baik. Persekitarannya sangat baik, dan bilik pemandangan laut mewah yang ditempah di bawah ini adalah kolam renang dan pantai. Pemandangannya sangat indah, dan anda juga boleh snorkeling.

Hotel was beautiful. Snorkeling off the beach was pretty good, small sharks, turtles, tropical fish. The beach was busier than expected. Hotel is removed from hubbub but beach is public and well used. Hotel has basic shuttle service to main area. Hotel rooms would benefit from in room sitting.

We loved Coral View as there’s so much good about it but some parts that detract. There is coral right off the beach in this small, calm bay which makes for excellent snorkelling. We saw so many species of fish and interesting plant life. The hotel provides free snorkel and mask for the entirety of your stay. However, if you have sensitive feet getting in and out can be slightly difficult. The bay is very quiet, which is lively, but if you want nightlife or other eating options it costs anywhere for 300-400 baht for a taxi one way to town. The cabins are very close to the beach which is nice. You can get some view of the water but from our lower cabin mostly the trees. However they are very rustic and in need of some repairs such as our bi-folding bathroom door would not shut completely and was hard to manoeuvre. If you have any mobility issues this is definitely not the place for you as there are stairs to access everything and the stairs are very uneven and rough. The air conditioning in our room worked but it was not powerful. The beachside restaurant is amazing for its views and the food. It is situated in a deck that extends over the beach with tables & chairs as well low tables and lounging cushions. The whole place is very relaxed with a wonderful calm vibe. Also, they use real fruit, not syrups, for their cocktails. Staff was friendly and helpful too. And the grounds were well maintained but the buildings themselves definitely need attention and upgrades.

I actually cried when we were leaving. We only stayed for 2 nights, but if we could we would stay a lot longer. I fell in love with the beach by this hotel. Just perfect, small, not crouded, clear blue water. We saw both a turtle and a shark (just a small kind one), so the snorkeling was also really good. You can rent snorkeling gear at the hotel. The staff was so kind and helpful, and made our stay complete. The room was clean, and really nice standard. Not in the middle of anything, which means you have to take tuk-tuk or motorcycle to get around, but still not far from restaurants and shops. Perfect and quiet. Would reccomend this to anyone going to Koh Tao. I loved it, and will come back for sure.

THE BEST HOSTEL I STAYED AT IN THAILAND. Apologies for shouting, but I had an incredible experience of staying in the Dearly hostel. Hostel/Dorms: I stayed for a week in a female dorm which I would recommend - sheets changed every 3 days, new towels available daily if needed, clean and nice smelling space, and comfortable beds that were not bunk beds. Modern and fresh decor with partitions between beds for more privacy. Such a simple and smart solution! Lovely and friendly cleaning ladies as well:)) The hostel itself surrounded by palm trees; I would definitely recommend to check out their common space on the 3rd floor (pictures attached). Shared Bathroom: clean, modern and nicely smelling bathrooms with shampoo and soap provided in the showers. Diving: I did the PADI open water course organised via dear hostel. As I was staying for a week the hostel offers a good deal for the accommodation combined with diving. The big advantage is a deep swimming pool at the hostel where you can practise diving skills before going into the open water. The swimming pool itself was great - they use salt instead of chlorine, which is both appreciated for the skin and hair. I would definitely recommend the diving instructor we had - Fam - who made us feel comfortable and ready to move from the swimming pool to open water diving. When speaking with other people staying in the hostel they also had a very positive experience with their diving instructors. Social: the hostel organised daily activities which were written on the blackboard in the lobby. I have not participated in many as I have been diving/studying for diving at the time, but it sounded like a good opportunity to meet other ppl. Personally, I made the most connections in my dorm bed and during breakfasts:) really great people and smiley faces with people wanting to be approachable. For partying we were going to the Sairee beach part of the island. This is not a party hard hostel, but it had a very good atmosphere of pre-drinks before going out and having a beer with some friends. Staff: very helpful, attentive and accommodating staff. Good email communication as well:) Breakfast: served 7-10 am; very useful to have it in the hostel when doing morning dives; everyday breakfast included toast, pancakes, fruit in coconut milk, and a rice/rice noodle dish. This was the first hostel breakfast I could eat in Thailand as I have food allergies and the rice/rice noodle dish was always very tasty. I recommended this hostel to three of my travel friends & all really enjoyed their stay here. For me, there is no other hostel alternative on Koh Tao ;) definitely will be back for another diving session! Thank you!

We stayed at Koh Tao Heritage for 11 nights and we enjoyed our stay. Location was perfect for access along Sairee and also close to Mae Haad pier. The room was clean and very spacious. Only complaints were the bathroom was quite dated and the bed was really really hard to lay on. It had really good reliable wifi and Netflix available in the room. The staff were friendly and always topped us up with water and tea/coffee every morning. The swimming pool area is actually really nice and good place to chill. However the small private beach is quite rocky and not the nicest to swim at. They offer a laundry service and there is also scooter rental right opposite the reception. Can’t fault our time at Heritage and would happily stay again!

Da wir in der Nebensaison dieses Hotel genutzt haben, trafen wir ein Hotel an, welches vorne und hinten nicht bereit für Gäste war. Am Pool waren keine Liegestühle wie auf den Fotos, nur schmutzige Sitzsäcke, die Dusche draussen beim pool war schmutzig, Überall lagen Blätter und Schmutz herum, es konnte nichts gegessen werden, das Zimmer war beim ersten Betreten schmutzig, hatte noch ein Duschtuch in der Dusche am Boden, die Bettlaken waren schmutzig, beim WC hatte es 1cm Wasser am Boden und am letzten Tag hatten wir kein Wasser. Nun zum positiven, wir haben ,,nur‘‘ 10$ pro Nacht bezahlt, die Betten waren bequem weich, wir hatten einen Balkon (nicht sauber), ein Kühlschrank war im Zimmer und das Wasser in der Dusche war warm. Zudem bekamen wir täglich 2 Flaschen Wasser, welche draussen hingestellt wurden, da das Zimmer nie geputzt und betreten wurde innert 3 Tagen. Nun ja, Nebensaison hin oder her, wir hätten etwas mehr komfort und offene Arme erwartet. Dennoch wurde der Eingangbereich täglich gereinigt, das Personal war freundlich und wir wurden in Ruhe gelassen. Ich denke in einer Hochsaison wäre das ein idealer Aufenthalt, sofern es etwas vorbereitet und gereinigt werden würde.

Heerlijk resort waar we in de family beach bungalow zijn verbleven. Hele fijne accommodatie. Alles was heel schoon en personeel erg vriendelijke. Vooral Tida die ons 2 keer heeft geholpen in het restaurant was heel behulpzaam.
