Hotel berhampiran Kushihachiman Shrine, Komatsu

The hotel is old and the room is clean but not well cleaned especially the corners of the room. The room is old and dull and the toilet smells bad. The balcony is covered with bamboo screen which make hard to see the outside. We can see the balcony is not well cleaned and the rooftop of the building is not well cleaned, too. If they clean the balcony and rooftop it will make a big difference. The fence at the balcony is worn out if they repainted it,it will be very beautiful seeing from the inside. I dont care if the building is old but they should keep it well cleaned and more presentable and im sure people will come again. The food is good and the bathing facilities is also good but its too hot no air at all, i didnt stay long because i cant breath i wish they open the window for fresh air to come. the atmosphere from the window the dried mold of the rooftop and the worn out of the balcony fence should be fix.The place is very quiet and you can really relax.The main entrance and ground floor is renovated and its nice and modern. The service is good too but the clerks are not lively they should be more cheerful. If the room is not dull and the balcony and rooftop is clean i want to stay again but sorry i wont stay here again. Stayed in Rurikoh for 3 nights. I have to say this hotel is quite popular with tour groups and most of them stay here on their way to see Central Japan. The hotel is a bit dated but still clean. All things are large here to accommodate the big crowds - ie Conference rooms, lounges, hotel lobby and restaurants and even the Public Onsen is large. We stayed here to experience the onsens and were not disappointed. There is one indoor + outdoor Public bath, and one private bath. We didn’t try the private one as its chargeable, so we went to the public one only. By staying in Rurikoh, we can even go to the sister hotel, Hatori, to experience their onsen baths there. There are 2 public baths there and many private ones. When we compare the 2 onsen baths, we find that Hatori’s is newer but smaller. Rurikoh’s has its charms and I am sure it used to be the best in the 80’s. Rurikoh has the larger bath and when crowded, you don’t see much of other bathers. As for the room, it is rather dated. We booked the twin room, western style Type A and it was large for Japan Standards. We didn’t take the meals options as there are plenty of Izakayas and restaurants if you drive around. Most restaurants charge less for food and if you dont mind driving around instead of eating in the hotel, you can save quite a fair bit. As for amenities, the hotel is very generous with things like onsen towels, use of Yukatas, water moisturisers, plentiful of toothbrushes and combs. As for the service, staff here are very courteous and they speak English well. One good point with the service is that they will park your car for you and bring it to the front every morning without you even asking. Overall, for the price that we paid and the service and amenities that we got, i would give this a 4star.

娘夫婦と一緒に、大人4人1室予約で行きました。周りを見ても、２世代/３世代で訪れている人が多い印象でした。 地震と今後始まる宿泊割の影響なのか、今回は人が少なめでゆったりと過ごすことができました。 【お風呂】 温泉を存分に楽しむならこちらです。３つの大浴場があり飽きることがありません。どの浴槽も温泉ですが、源泉掛け流しの浴槽と、源泉の浴槽と、温泉の引き湯での浴槽があります。掛け流しの浴槽は釜風呂（五右衛門風呂）で大きくはありません。入れるタイミングがあればおすすめです。 タオルは大浴場へ持参するスタイルですが、部屋に備え付けのものが濡れてしまっても何度でも替えることができました（バスタオルもOK）。 化粧水やミルク、男性用の基礎化粧品等は、大浴場にもお部屋にもあります。綿棒は部屋にはありませんが大浴場にはありました。手ぶらで行っても大丈夫です。 【お部屋】 我が家はさほど高いプランを選択したわけではありませんでしたが、それでも広々とした充分なお部屋でした。 布団や枕、ソファやクッションなどの質もすばらしかったです。畳はリニューアルなさったとのことで綺麗でした。 お部屋のテレビにはHDMI端子があるので、Fireスティックなどを持参すれば部屋で配信動画も楽しめます。 【館内サービス】 お菓子の提供、フリードリンクなど、滞在客が楽しめるサービスが多いです。また、館内はどこも良い香りがしていましたし、空気には常に清潔感があり、深呼吸したくなる感じでした。 【お食事】 夕食も朝食も、少しずつに見えるのにいただいているとお腹いっぱいで、どれも美味しかったです。季節感や郷土色にも配慮が行き届いていましたし、食材の鮮度が抜群に良かったです。 仲居さんのおもてなしも満点です。長くお勤めのベテランさんなのだろうなと感じました。 夏は大きなウォータースライダーのあるプールも楽しめます。近場に「ゆのくにの森」があり、プールがない時期はそちらも楽しいです。 温泉リゾートという感じの旅館で、楽しい非日常を味わうことができ、予算が許せば2泊滞在したい旅館でした。全てにおいて満足です。

We booked this onsen on line ourselves. We have travelled to Japan before and have previously experienced other onsen and accompanying Kaiseki meals. We were a little surprised at the location of the onsen. It was in the suburbs. But maybe that was our fault. The area around did seem to be run down. There were a few sad looking shops around. Some were closed. Maybe because of Covid. Maybe it is not geared for foreign tourists. The building is not modern. It had a faded glory about it. It is large and rambling. Our room /suite had a private outdoor bath. We were actually on the fourth floor. The tap to the outdoor bath would not turn off and was continuously dripping. It was outside so didn't bother us but should have been obvious to staff. Likewise the cladding on one wall was coming off and the tiny garden was scruffy and full of dead leaves. This was disappointing and not up to the standard of other onsen we have stayed at previously. The room however were spotless. All the staff were very good, from check in, to the tea servers, the waiters and breakfast room attendants. The ladies got to choose the colour of the kimono they would wear for the evening, which was a nice touch. The Kaiseki meal was served in the restaurant which had bamboo blinds separating the various tables. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and thought the waiter did an excellent job juggling the tables. The wine was reasonably priced. The breakfast was buffet style and had an enormous choice. Sadly we had to catch an early complimentary shuttle to the station so we just had a quick breakfast, and truthfully we were still full from the meal the night before. We did not partake in the free ice cream or public onsen so can't comment here. The small gift shop was adequate but lacking in nice little souvenirs of the area. So all in all we had a good experience.

The quality of the hot spring water, the comfort of the bed, the coziness of the room and veranda, the range of services provided, the staff's response, the decor of the facility, and the events – everything was top-notch. It's the perfect getaway for a couple! We definitely want to stay at Hoshino Resort again!

Kissho Yamanaka is located in Yamanaka onsen town, a 20 minute drive from the Kaga train station. This ryokan (resort) offers a convenient free shuttle to and from the station, but be sure to book a pickup and drop-off time. The amenities this ryokan offers are almost endless and the relaxing environment makes you want to stay here forever. The is afternoon pancake, large hot spring bath, 3 private hot springs which can be reserved for 50 minutes, happy hour, nightly Kaga pudding dessert, and classic Japanese entertainment keeps your mind away from any stresses you might have. The resort is located near beautiful stream and lush forest. A Kaiseki (classic course) dinner is offered as part of the package. Kissho Yamanaka is a perfect place to stop by for a night or two if you're en route from the rich traditional cities of Kyoto to Kanazawa.

Stayed with my wife and 11 year old in a room with a private onsen. I have to say, I was nervous about staying here because there were very few reviews and none that I could find since Japan reopened after the pandemic. I usually don't write reviews but I'm doing this for the next person that might be on the fence. I had the concierge at our hotel in Tokyo arrange the pickup from Matto station which went very smoothly. It's only about a 10 minute train ride from Kanazawa train station and the driver was waiting there for us as we exited the ticket gates at the station. When we arrived, we checked in with the one employee who spoke English and she gave us the overview of everything at the ryokan. We then went to our room and relaxed for a few hours until dinner time. I don't know if it was because we spoke English but we had dinner in a banquet hall all by ourselves. The dinner was absolutely amazing, it was the best meal I had in multiple trips to Japan. I don't want to spoil it but we did no upgrades to our meal and we wish we came even more hungry because it was a lot of food across around 10 courses. Everything was seasonal and each course was a setup to the next course, I loved it. After dinner we used the private onsen in the room and went to sleep. The next morning we had breakfast once again in the private banquet room and again it was an amazing meal. We relaxed for a few more hours and then they gave us a ride back to the Motto station. This is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for some peace and relaxation. Everyone in the ryokan was across the board super friendly and professional. The language barrier was a real thing but we kept an open mind and we made it through just fine. My wife and I have tattoos so using the public onsen was probably not an option, but since we splurged for the private one I probably wouldn't have used it anyways, though it is rooftop and looked super nice. Overall, I can't recommend a night here enough. It was for sure the highlight of our trip to Japan. Thank you so much to all the staff that made it such a special night for us. Mahalo!

Grass service! Friendly welcome staff. Unlimited free Saki after 3pm. Stayed there during the new year. And experienced earthquake on January 1st 2024. Staff was very professional about it. And evacuated everyone fast. Hotel did not collapse! :)

大巴車站是在西口下車的，按訂單上的導航（谷歌）無法導到酒店，在谷歌上輸入地址也無法導航。最後是西口的微笑酒店前台服務員給了地圖，才找到東口的酒店。其實西口車站到東口車站衹要穿過室內車站的通道就可以很快找到了。酒店乾淨整潔，房間設施也可以，一樓還有免費的咖啡和茶。
