Aegean View Aqua Resort

We booked this hotel and then I read the reviews. To say I was apprehensive of going is an understatement, But when we got there it soon changed. We had the BEST time. Yes it could do with some odd jobs to make it perfect but nothing that will ruin the holiday. Our room wasn't the biggest but we didn't spend that much time in the room, it was enough for 2 adults and a 5 year old. I wouldn't recommend it if you have mobility struggles as some of the rooms are up a hill and the water park is at the top but that didn't phase us. The food can be a bit hit and miss but there was always something enjoyable. There is a shop on site and the town isn't far. The hotel have a free shuttle bus that takes you into the town and brings you back every hour until 15:00 but a taxi back was only 10 euros if you fancied a longer stay in town. MASSIVE shout out to Mikey Mikey and the entertainment team, they were fabulous every single day and get everyone involved in games in the day, mini disco at night, and adult games at night I can't praise them enough. An in all we had an amazing holiday and all I can say is ignore the bad reviews and give the hotel a chance.

When we arrived at resort we were given our door card & that was it, no help to carry cases, no help to locate room, no directions, nothing. We had paid for a superior double with shared pool access, requested ground floor, we were given a standard double, access via main pool, 10 steps up, 5 steps down to room, 5 steps up to cemented area, 5 steps down to pool, I stated categorically that steps were a problem, not walking or incline, but steps, tiles missing around pool, stagnant water in grooves, broken steps, cracked cement, we were moved to a superior double, not once was our room cleaned, no floors washed, no bedding change, no pool towels, I have videos of room, toilet seat did not fit toilet & was not secure. Every night at 5pm all electric went off, I have documented every day & times, hotel manager was the most disgusting, rude, ill mannered person I have ever met, doreen the jet2 supervisor stood with her head down & allowed manager to speak to me in a very disrespectful way, we had to tell her to step in & deal with situation, I was celebrating my 65th birthday with my family & chose this resort from the write up that jet2 gave it & the photos, by no stretch of the imagination is this resort how you describe it, you need to terminate all dealings with this resort, only 2 slides were working, several drinks that were advertised they did not have, during our stay the plastic glasses got smaller, food was very repetitive & not very appetising, breakfast was good, nice salads & fresh bread but the hot food was awful. I am so upset & angry with the whole situation, the managers disgusting manner & jet2 rep not fighting our corner. Show quoted text

The exterior of the resort would make my star rating to a 4 if everything that happened inside didn’t impact our experience. The outside is very pretty with a variety of pools to choose from. The all inclusive was ok, but I found brand new staff (not there fault obviously) didn’t do a great job with our drinks, therefore a lot of the time our alcohol drinks was either too strong or too weak. Now, onto the negatives. The biggest issues I have with this resort goes down to the room, buffet and the manager. The room is a let down, our shower kept leaking, and caused a flood multiple times. The quality overall with the room isn’t what you really see on Trip Advisor so *please* bare that in mind. The buffet was the same thing every night with some of the food from breakfast being reused for dinner. Again, we paid a lot of money for better food (and breakfast was cold as well). The upstairs restaurant is better but doesn’t have many options. The manager is rude, unsupportive and useless. We at one point went away to Paradise Beach and they booked a taxi for us. The driver told us that the cafe is open until 7 so they can book a taxi for us. So when we finished our day at 6, it was closed. This isn’t the manager’s fault but when we rang him up to ask if he could book us a taxi to get back safely - surprise surprise he said no. He gave us the WRONG NUMBER as well, so we were given no support to get back safely. Luckily, a lovely family helped us. This isn’t the worse resort but I do not recommend just for the manager alone.

Food: - re-used and re-heated from breakfast - Often food is cold - very much the same food each day. - Highly recommend booking the upstairs restaurant from reception. A much nicer atmosphere and calmer place to eat. Make sure you book a day in advance to secure your booking. Pools and outdoor space: - pools are great. Very clean and lovely and refreshing. - Outdoor space is good although it can be a rush to get sun loungers and. - Some parasols are broken and therefore shade is limited. Snack bar and drinks: - the snack bar is very good. They have ice creams all day and also provide a picky lunch with a wrap, fruit, yoghurt, a toastie/sandwich. - The drinks are very hit and miss. You can have the same drink made by 2 different people and it will taste completely different. There is no consistency to the drinks. - In addition, the drink choice and availability is very minimal. Pool toilets: - the toilets were clean however the women’s had no soap or locks on any of the stalls the men’s was exactly the same. Bedroom: - The bedroom and indoor space really aren’t what you’d expect with a ‘4 star hotel’! Our room clearly was in need of some TLC. The front door had a huge hole just below the lock and the cupboards also had some dodgy doors. Bathroom: - Our en-suite again wasn’t up to standard. The shower leaked and frequently flooded the bathroom. The holder for the shower head was loose and therefore couldn’t hold the shower head. This lead to our bathroom being very wet and flooded on numerous occasions. Manager: - The manager was rude and obnoxious on numerous occasions. Clearly he has had no customer service training! I have never met someone so rude and unhelpful! Staff in general: - The staff in reception are actually useless. Upon arrival and checking in they told us our room number and took us to our room. There was no information about the resort, no map, and no information about check out. Overall the staff at reception were just unhelpful and rude. - On an occasion we visited paradise beach (highly recommend visiting) the reception staff called us a taxi which was helpful. We then called them to arrange a taxi pick up to get us back to Aegean View however we were told that they didn’t arrange pick ups. The manager gave us the number of a taxi company however he gave us a false number. The number apparently didn’t exist. With no help or support from the resort, we spoke to locals who managed to book us a taxi back. Again, another example of the resort being completely unhelpful! - Don’t be surprised if you only get one key per room. After many attempts to get a second, apparently it’s ‘policy’! I have never heard of this ‘policy’ before in any other hotel. - The restaurant staff are clearly being underpaid and under valued. Having spoken to other holiday makers, they all have the same issues as mentioned above. No-one we spoke to would visit again.

We had great time at Aegean resort hotel! Room was clean, bright , bed is very comfortable with balcony with sea view! It was beautiful and quiet every night! Food was tasty, fresh and variety! In resort has 13 swimming pools, all are very clean and water is warm! My son enjoyed alot inside! Drinks at the bar are cheap but plenty and ice cream is very delicious! Despite the resort is isolated there is bus shuttle from the resort to the town every hour for 10mins , you cn get taxi for €10 or walk for 30mins! Overall we had fantastic time !!!

My wife and I stayed for one all inclusive week. The room was spacious with a very comfortable king size bed.animation by the main pool was led by the all inclusive MIKEY. He took care of everyone each day. His aqua aerobics are the best, his music choices throughout the day just set the tone. In the evenings MIKEY led his hard working team again with a quiz or a karaoke. Thank you Mikey for making our week as special as it was. The restaurant food was superb, with a wide choice to delight us. Despite the hotel’s isolated location and laidback approach to problem solving we would happily return. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely hotel with fantastic views. Kids really enjoyed the entertainment. So many swimming pool to choose from. Food was tasty and again lots of choice. Our family had a lovely stay here. Robert from the bar and Mike the entertainment deserves a shout out, two great characters who really go above and beyond

Absolutely Amazing Experience. We could not recommend it more! As a young couple, it was exactly what we wanted and needed. Staff are extremely helpful across the board, whether that be in the restaurant or bar or even beside the pool. Food is delicious… excellent variety, coming from someone who has a gluten intolerance. The restaurant is lovely and clean and an enjoyable area to spend meal times. Our room was GREAT! We just booked a standard double, but we were very happy when we walked into a lovely sized, cool, and tidy room. The hotel provides excellent entertainment in the form of Mikey and two other lovely ladies who unfortunately I didn’t catch their names. They are all great fun, and really are such bubbly people to be greeted by. Can’t wait to book again next year!

Visited end May beginning June 24 from start to finish everything was lovely. We had called ahead as hubby had put his back out and Demetrius met us at reception took us and carried our cases up to our room. (Thank you) next day we asked for extra pillows for hubbys back and they was delivered to the room. Room is cleaned daily along with clean sheets as well as pool towels. Room has air conditioning which was a godsend given the sudden unexpected heatwave which was ridiculous 🥵 also a fridge with kettle and tv with only one English Channel which was SkyNews we had a lovely view across to Bodrum (room 286) The food although limited on choice! What there is was delicious 😋 we always found something tasty. The MaitreD George is absolutely lovely and ensures the smooth running of everything, well done George and thank you so much for my birthday cake. Missing your lovely smile and warm welcome. Mikey the entertainment guy is great fun and ensures to include everyone. Iana the lady at pool bar is lovely and always knew what drinks we wanted. A couple of suggestions One night I asked for a hot chocolate to be told they’re only available at breakfast? I wanted it to take to bed! Most hotels these day do this for guests. Daytime snacks need to be improved as if you miss breakfast you only have the option of a ham & cheese toasty and I don’t eat pork I didn’t have any (there are a small amount of salads and fruit in a fridge) although the last few days they had started doing Gyros by the pool that looked and smelled delicious but again only pork so maybe consider alternating with chicken. Katrina was working on this and I’m sure she will sort it out 👍🏻 Like I said ignore the negative reviews go see for yourself
