Stunning resort – but a few fixes would make it perfect --- I stayed at the Berjaya Hotel for 3 nights and ended up extending my stay – that alone says everything about how much I loved this place. It truly deserves its 5-star reputation. The positives: · The private beach is absolutely gorgeous. · The pool is large, pleasant, and very well maintained – crystal clean. · We stayed in a chalet facing the sea, and it was simply wonderful – waking up to that view every morning was unforgettable. · The international breakfast buffet is rich and generous. · The staff throughout the hotel are helpful and welcoming. · The 24-hour buggy service is a great idea for getting around the resort. · The SkyCab is nearby, with a free shuttle to the station (one-way). · Plenty of restaurants to choose from, live jazz every evening for 1–2 hours, and an amazing fire show on the beach every Friday and Saturday. Now, a few areas that need attention: --- 🔴 1. Inappropriate swimwear in the pool I was shocked to see several guests swimming in regular clothes and T-shirts – not proper swimwear. Worse, I witnessed a guest actually scrubbing his T-shirt inside the pool to clean it. This is unhygienic and can pollute the water. 👉 There should be a clear rule requiring proper swimwear, and staff should enforce it. A simple sign at the entrance would help. --- 🔴 2. Buggy service issue – broken promise The resort offers a buggy shuttle to the SkyCab station, but the return is not officially provided. However, we were told by a driver that a buggy would drop off a group at 4 PM and that we could return with it. Since we were a family of 4 and there was no space left, he promised to come back for us. He never did. We waited in vain under the scorching heat, with a child, and eventually had to walk back uphill – which was exhausting and uncomfortable. 👉 If the return service is not guaranteed, just say so clearly. Don't make promises you can't keep. This was very disappointing. --- 🔴 3. Dessert variety Both at breakfast and dinner, the dessert options were quite limited and lacked creativity. A bit more variety would elevate the dining experience. --- Final word: Despite these issues, my overall stay was wonderful. The resort is beautiful, the setting is magical, and I would still recommend it – but I truly hope management listens to this feedback, especially regarding pool rules and the buggy service. We came for 3 nights and stayed longer – that says a lot. With a few adjustments, this place would be absolutely perfect.

The room overall is quite spacious, and the decor is relatively new for a hotel that's been around for about 30 years. It has a Nanyang style, and the service is quite good. It's right next to Cenang Beach, about a 35-minute taxi ride to Kuah Town, and relatively close to the airport, around 15 minutes away... Overall, I highly recommend it. There aren't many special hotel activities, but the breakfast is generally quite good. There's an Asian restaurant and a Western restaurant, both with decent food, and the Western restaurant is near the beach with amazing views!

Objective review: Pros: Most hotel staff were warm, friendly, and enthusiastic. The location boasts beautiful scenery, with wildlife nearby, and it's very close to the jetty. There are also many dining options in Kuah Town. The spa was excellent, though a bit pricey! Cons: The hotel's facilities are outdated, and cleanliness was just average. The toilet had a slight odor, and the sheets had stains, which I later asked staff to replace. The biggest issue is the soundproofing. If you're easily stressed or a light sleeper, seriously consider my advice and avoid this hotel. Perhaps I was unlucky, but for four nights, a Middle Eastern family with two crying children stayed across from us, and their wailing continued past midnight. It was truly frustrating. Thankfully, the platform provided timely feedback and intervention, and the hotel manager offered some gifts and earplugs, but there were still several difficult hours at night. I think a better solution would have been to help us move to a more suitable room, but the manager refused, stating that twin rooms were fully booked. This is definitely incomparable to hotels with excellent service awareness in China. Another major pitfall: The seafood at the hotel's restaurant, Tide, was not fresh and very expensive. Definitely avoid it; don't take my word for it, go try it yourself. My daughter had diarrhea that night, and the hotel later offered some discount compensation. Communicating with foreigners is exhausting, so I won't dwell on it. Finally, since this was a family trip, we focused more on the happy moments. Despite the imperfections, let's just think less about them~ I wish everyone gets to see the beautiful natural scenery of Langkawi.

Highly recommend – we'll definitely be back!

It sits far from the city noise, right in the heart of nature, featuring a stunning beachfront infinity pool. Island hopping tours are incredibly easy to access from here. I would give the hotel breakfast buffet a miss tho ..

Overall, I was quite satisfied with the service, but the professionalism of a few individual staff members really needs improvement. When we arrived at 12 PM on August 8th, the female front desk staff completely disregarded our booking information and room availability, directly refusing to check us in and insisting we wait until 3 PM. At 3 PM, she then claimed the room wasn't ready and made us wait another hour. It was the worst experience we had in all of Langkawi. However, a manager later came to help resolve the issue and even provided complimentary breakfast, and the other staff members were all quite good. Considering the hotel's price, everything else was excellent. There's a night market right outside, a park nearby, and it's very convenient to cross the road for food.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and mostly used the room just to sleep. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The view from the room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and the room itself was cozy and had everything we needed. The soundproofing was also quite good, which made it easy to get a good night’s sleep. We had breakfast included, and it offered everything you would normally expect from a standard European breakfast. Nothing extraordinary, but perfectly good and satisfying. I would like to mention a few small points for future guests, without lowering my rating because they didn’t significantly affect our stay. The room cleanliness could be improved. The bed linens and towels were perfectly clean, but the decorative pillows, curtains, and parts of the bathroom didn’t seem as clean as they could have been. I’d rate the overall room cleanliness around 5/10. Also, there were no toothbrushes provided, and the toiletries were not replenished in sufficient quantities for a two-night stay. I would recommend bringing your own toothbrush and personal hygiene items just in case. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel left a positive overall impression. Thank you for your hospitality!

The service was enthusiastic, but the facilities were old and the room was small. The fridge was full of water and mold, and the kettle was leaking. Breakfast was terrible, with limited options and the worst quality I've ever had in a hotel. The ingredients were extremely poor. Even the fruit was tasteless and not sweet; the pineapple was so sour it was inedible, the waffles tasted sour, and the only vegetable was stir-fried cabbage. There was absolutely nothing redeemable about it. The only edible items were the freshly made paratha and omelets.

I had a wonderful stay at Ombak Villa Langkawi. The room was comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing staycation. The facilities were great, and I truly enjoyed my time here. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The check-in experience was disappointing. Although I had booked my room four days in advance, I still had to wait almost an hour before my room was ready. What made it more frustrating was that no apology or explanation was given by the staff for the delay. Another area that needs improvement is the Wi-Fi connection, which was quite unstable during my stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would still recommend Ombak Villa Langkawi. With better customer service during check-in and a more reliable Wi-Fi connection, the experience would be even better.

The bed was especially comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep after a long day. The staff were also very friendly, helpful and professional throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. I also really enjoyed the breakfast — there was a good variety of food and everything tasted great. The location was convenient as well, with many places nearby. Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort and value for money. Overall, my stay was great. The pool was nice. The hotel staff was nice and friendly. Great location many food places around, and they're open until late into the night. We also went to the waterpark next door for free. The hotel was clean. They also have really good deals for ATV tours, jet ski tours, and many other fun things to do around the island. I highly recommend this hotel to people. The windows in our room couldn't open so it wasn't the best because I like getting fresh air into my room in the morning. Because the windows couldn't open the room smelled a bit damp and stuffy. The Aircon also made a lot of noise (I struggle falling asleep if there's too much noise).

Had a really good time here at Aloft Langkawi. Service was tip top. Everyone was really helpful the moment we arrived, I asked for wheelchair assistance in advance and it was ready right away. The room was more spacious than we thought. Perfect for us and our 10 and 7 year old girls. They absolutely loved the bunk beds & the kids’ toys provided in the room. They even gifted my girls with cute plushies! The pool area was lovely. Kids had so much fun at the kids’ room - eventhough it wasn’t school holiday, they still had a lot of activities that you could book in advance to participate in. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay & would recommend to everyone else. Hope to be back one day. Thank you so much!

The resort was very beautiful and peaceful. I saw many kinds of guests staying there such as couples, families and groups. Usually at night it was very quiet and everyone seemed to be respectful of each other, which made the stay very pleasant. It was especially nice to sit in the yard in the evening. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The receptionist was also very sweet and welcoming. However, there was one issue in our room. The washing basin kept dripping and even after we reported it, it could not be fixed during our stay. Because of that, we had to use the bathroom sink to brush our teeth and wash our face. Other than that, everything else was good. You can also see airplanes flying across the resort which was quite interesting. Overall, it is a nice place for family gatherings and team bonding.

We had breakfast included, and it offered everything you would normally expect from a standard European breakfast. Nothing extraordinary, but perfectly good and satisfying. I would like to mention a few small points for future guests, without lowering my rating because they didn’t significantly affect our stay. The room cleanliness could be improved. The bed linens and towels were perfectly clean, but the decorative pillows, curtains, and parts of the bathroom didn’t seem as clean as they could have been. I’d rate the overall room cleanliness around 5/10. Also, there were no toothbrushes provided, and the toiletries were not replenished in sufficient quantities for a two-night stay. I would recommend bringing your own toothbrush and personal hygiene items just in case. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel left a positive overall impression. Thank you for your hospitality!

The service was enthusiastic, but the facilities were old and the room was small. The fridge was full of water and mold, and the kettle was leaking. Breakfast was terrible, with limited options and the worst quality I've ever had in a hotel. The ingredients were extremely poor. Even the fruit was tasteless and not sweet; the pineapple was so sour it was inedible, the waffles tasted sour, and the only vegetable was stir-fried cabbage. There was absolutely nothing redeemable about it. The only edible items were the freshly made paratha and omelets.

I had a wonderful stay at Ombak Villa Langkawi. The room was comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing staycation. The facilities were great, and I truly enjoyed my time here. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The check-in experience was disappointing. Although I had booked my room four days in advance, I still had to wait almost an hour before my room was ready. What made it more frustrating was that no apology or explanation was given by the staff for the delay. Another area that needs improvement is the Wi-Fi connection, which was quite unstable during my stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would still recommend Ombak Villa Langkawi. With better customer service during check-in and a more reliable Wi-Fi connection, the experience would be even better.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very pleasant stay! I had a really enjoyable experience staying at this hotel. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The bed was especially comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep after a long day. The staff were also very friendly, helpful and professional throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. I also really enjoyed the breakfast — there was a good variety of food and everything tasted great. The location was convenient as well, with many places nearby. Overall, the hotel offered great service, comfort and value for money. Overall, my stay was great. The pool was nice. The hotel staff was nice and friendly. Great location many food places around, and they're open until late into the night. We also went to the waterpark next door for free. The hotel was clean. They also have really good deals for ATV tours, jet ski tours, and many other fun things to do around the island. I highly recommend this hotel to people. The windows in our room couldn't open so it wasn't the best because I like getting fresh air into my room in the morning. Because the windows couldn't open the room smelled a bit damp and stuffy. The Aircon also made a lot of noise (I struggle falling asleep if there's too much noise).

Had a really good time here at Aloft Langkawi. Service was tip top. Everyone was really helpful the moment we arrived, I asked for wheelchair assistance in advance and it was ready right away. The room was more spacious than we thought. Perfect for us and our 10 and 7 year old girls. They absolutely loved the bunk beds & the kids’ toys provided in the room. They even gifted my girls with cute plushies! The pool area was lovely. Kids had so much fun at the kids’ room - eventhough it wasn’t school holiday, they still had a lot of activities that you could book in advance to participate in. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay & would recommend to everyone else. Hope to be back one day. Thank you so much!

The resort was very beautiful and peaceful. I saw many kinds of guests staying there such as couples, families and groups. Usually at night it was very quiet and everyone seemed to be respectful of each other, which made the stay very pleasant. It was especially nice to sit in the yard in the evening. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The receptionist was also very sweet and welcoming. However, there was one issue in our room. The washing basin kept dripping and even after we reported it, it could not be fixed during our stay. Because of that, we had to use the bathroom sink to brush our teeth and wash our face. Other than that, everything else was good. You can also see airplanes flying across the resort which was quite interesting. Overall, it is a nice place for family gatherings and team bonding.
