A very nice well built and designed hotel. First impression poor and that’s because it is sorely in need of renovation and there seems to be mains current delivery problems. No wifi in the bedrooms because of renovation. These are some of the reasons why we give only four out of five. Scratch beneath the surface to find a venerable establishment ready to fulfil every need and staff who obviously sincerely want to satisfy. The kitchen staff are doing a sterling job, we had half pension and the breakfast and dinner were very good indeed. The dining room is very charming, the bedrooms are large with working flat panel TV. This is part of a chain and the big bosses need to pull out their finger to get this nice hotel modernised and up to the standard of 4 stars it basically merits. There’s no laundry service but easy to find dhobi in the village if your driver is up to snuff. We stayed three days here and it’s restful, well away from noisy wedding celebrations in the village. Decent bedding and lovely old fashioned bathroom. Please don’t change that when you finally renovate, Shahpura bosses. You will get far more clients if you invest a bit more, don’t waste this fine asset.
