Hotel di Daerah Cuihu, Kunming

First time staying at a youth hostel in China and overall it was a good experience. Pros: - Location is excellent. Just across road from cuihu. Lots of great coffee shops and bars within walking distance. - Cafeteria in the hostel had good coffee and a decent range of beers. I didn't personally eat there but other guests said the food was good as well - Big public area where you could socialise with other guests - Facilities were reasonable for a hostel at this price. Cons: - There were not a whole lot of activities organised by the hostel - Sound proofing is not the best. You can pretty easily hear things next door, upstairs or even from outside. - The atmosphere is a little hit or miss. I stayed here for 7 nights. The first few days, there were not many people that wanted to socialise but the last two nights, I met some great people and had a great time that I extended my stay by an extra night. I think the main issue with the hostel (and this is not necessarily their fault) is that some Chinese travellers choose to travel cheaply and the hostel offers a great price, so during my stay there were a lot of elderly people or families with young kids, which was not what I was expecting when staying at a youth hostel. These people mainly kept to themselves and I feel dampened the mood at the hostel. Overall, this was a solid hostel, but I would have tempered expectations when staying here if you are expecting a very social youth hostel.

Lamentablemente la habitación tenía una ventana que no se podía cerrar una vez abierta, el sanitario se dañaba con frecuencia. La habitación parecía cómoda pero en eañidad era muy pequeña, el baño era incómodo. La lencería estaba muy limpia. En general la habitación no fue agradable, el personal muy amable, la ubicación muy buena. Es un hotel que está deteriorado, falta mantenimiento en algunas cosas de la habitación.

This is our second day at Liride Red Hotel. In 2024, we stayed at the Guestroom City-View (bathroom). We gave a full score review at that time.. This time, we are a little disappointed with the room temperature control in 1805, a deluxe queen room. It is a nightmare, either too warm or too cold. We don’t have this problem in any other hotels we stayed in Yunnan. The controls is blocked by a bedside lamp, see photo. All things else, the hotel services were good and breakfast is well balanced with Western options.

Very helpful front desk ladies, especially when I do not speak Chinese and their English was basic at best, they were nice. The room was kept clean every day and the room staff were helpful when needed, they did very well. The breakfast was plentiful and Chinese, but often cold. The coffee was good, and multiple options for noodles and many toppings. The pasteries were good as well. There are 3 elevators and rarely had to wait very long for one. The smoking was very prevelant, often the hallways smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, and on the way to breakfast, and when opening the window, the smoke smell would come inside as well. Would recommend smoke-free floor for non-smoking guests. Hotel is ideal for short stays, and we saw many tour groups and businessmen at breakfast and in the elevator. The doormen did not help with bags at checkin or checkout. The location had many restaurants, shops, and Cuihu park was very close, was nice to stroll at night. Was easy to find hotel.

Check in was ok - staff was polite enough and helpful. The room did smell a little, maybe from previous smokers. There was tissue and hair on the floor and peanuts under the sofa - but they took care of it immediately The price was great for a location near the lake. Beds were comfortable Breakfast was a little paltry - but that’s ok - lots of eat outside at the cafes and restaurants! Overall a good price for the location, especially if you like it on the quieter side but still walkable to sights and amenities.

I had a pleasant stay at Grand Park Kunming. The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to popular attractions, restaurants, and transportation, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere after a full day of sightseeing. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always willing to assist with any questions. Overall, Grand Park Kunming offers excellent value, comfortable accommodations, and great service. I would happily stay here again when I return to Kunming.

The hotel is at such a great location right by the door there is a lake park with outdoor gym equipment like pull up bars etc. also not far from the hotel is a street filled with coffee shops and crafty things. The people at the reception are very nice . I needed to ship some stuff using SF express and they helped me with the whole process since I don’t speak Chinese. Would definitely come back. Plus they had an outdoor cinema they were playing detective Conan with a live bbq you can eat from

This is our second time to stay at Homeinnplus. All the staff here is very friendly and helpful which I find it is one of the important factors in choosing a place to stay. The room is clean and the mattress is comfortable. One of the good services they provide is the complimentary coffee. Because I love to drink coffee and it is a bonus for me. Keep up the good work and people who read this review should definitely consider here 👍👍👍

Saya menempah bilik keluarga Kakitangan meja depan sangat ramah dan kemudahan kebersihan yang baik. Kalau ada penyesalan, memang anak kecil saya yang susunkan bilik ibu bapa dan anak perempuan itu, tetapi dia mendapat tahu selepas masuk ke dalam bilik itu, yang membuatkan anak itu sangat kecewa. Juga, apabila saya pergi pada waktu pagi, saya meninggalkan gelang yang ingin saya ambil di atas meja di dalam bilik saya ingat dengan jelas. Tetapi ia tidak dapat ditemui. Saya juga bertanggungjawab atas kecuaian saya sendiri, jadi saya akan berikan lima mata.

Counter staff were excellent and dedicated to making sure we were attended to whole waiting to be checked in. the 2 young men Ah Che and Ah Yang were so humble, helpful and kind. They helped me get information and called up tour agents to check for last minute bookings for my family. The young lady who assisted did not even complain or get irritated when the plan did not follow through and her effort was kind of wasted. loved the room and the little details they paid attention to in terms of room services and amenities.
