Hotel di Daerah Cuihu, Kunming

I had a pleasant stay at Grand Park Kunming. The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to popular attractions, restaurants, and transportation, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere after a full day of sightseeing. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always willing to assist with any questions. Overall, Grand Park Kunming offers excellent value, comfortable accommodations, and great service. I would happily stay here again when I return to Kunming.

First time staying at a youth hostel in China and overall it was a good experience. Pros: - Location is excellent. Just across road from cuihu. Lots of great coffee shops and bars within walking distance. - Cafeteria in the hostel had good coffee and a decent range of beers. I didn't personally eat there but other guests said the food was good as well - Big public area where you could socialise with other guests - Facilities were reasonable for a hostel at this price. Cons: - There were not a whole lot of activities organised by the hostel - Sound proofing is not the best. You can pretty easily hear things next door, upstairs or even from outside. - The atmosphere is a little hit or miss. I stayed here for 7 nights. The first few days, there were not many people that wanted to socialise but the last two nights, I met some great people and had a great time that I extended my stay by an extra night. I think the main issue with the hostel (and this is not necessarily their fault) is that some Chinese travellers choose to travel cheaply and the hostel offers a great price, so during my stay there were a lot of elderly people or families with young kids, which was not what I was expecting when staying at a youth hostel. These people mainly kept to themselves and I feel dampened the mood at the hostel. Overall, this was a solid hostel, but I would have tempered expectations when staying here if you are expecting a very social youth hostel.

This is our second day at Liride Red Hotel. In 2024, we stayed at the Guestroom City-View (bathroom). We gave a full score review at that time.. This time, we are a little disappointed with the room temperature control in 1805, a deluxe queen room. It is a nightmare, either too warm or too cold. We don’t have this problem in any other hotels we stayed in Yunnan. The controls is blocked by a bedside lamp, see photo. All things else, the hotel services were good and breakfast is well balanced with Western options.

The hotel itself is stunning, I love the lobby as well as the room. The room is spacious, modern, and clean. It has a bathtub in a separate room with a couch. It also has a shower in a room separated from the toilet so when one person showers, the other person doesn’t need to wait to use the sink or the toilet. The curtains can be opened & closed using a button next to the bed, which is super convenient for the morning when you just wake up and want a tiny little light before getting out of bed. We also get to have a little tea session in the afternoon for free. And the number one advantage of staying at this hotel is the location. It’s near the Green Lake, Wenlin street, Kunming Old Street. You walk across the street and there is a beautiful coffee compound that is my most favorite spot of the city. There is also a long walking bridge across the street where you can take a stroll up high. The cons: There is no elevator, but the room is on the 2nd floor so it’s not that bad. The toilet stall’s door is not from ceiling to floor, so the smell can get out of the stall into the room. But generally it wasn’t an issue for us, the pros are way more than the cons and we will definitely stay again if there is a chance.

Fantastic overall stay with an ideal location steps from Kunming Cuihu Lake. Lots of dining options nearby, and grabbing taxis to local attractions is effortless. This is a time-honored vintage hotel with older styling, though room amenities work well. The front desk team delivered thoughtful service—they upgraded our room after learning my wife is pregnant, and suggested a unit with a separate walk-in shower to avoid slippery bathtubs. Small flaw: the shower head has excessively high water pressure and is hard to maneuver. Huge appreciation to all attentive front desk staff for their warm assistance, especially 小鹏 丹丹 and 佳佳. Will def consider rebook if I visit Kunming again!

Check in was ok - staff was polite enough and helpful. The room did smell a little, maybe from previous smokers. There was tissue and hair on the floor and peanuts under the sofa - but they took care of it immediately The price was great for a location near the lake. Beds were comfortable Breakfast was a little paltry - but that’s ok - lots of eat outside at the cafes and restaurants! Overall a good price for the location, especially if you like it on the quieter side but still walkable to sights and amenities.

The hotel is at such a great location right by the door there is a lake park with outdoor gym equipment like pull up bars etc. also not far from the hotel is a street filled with coffee shops and crafty things. The people at the reception are very nice . I needed to ship some stuff using SF express and they helped me with the whole process since I don’t speak Chinese. Would definitely come back. Plus they had an outdoor cinema they were playing detective Conan with a live bbq you can eat from

Having stayed at many Atour hotels, this one is arguably the most luxurious I've ever stayed at. The public areas are grand and impressive, with an atmosphere that rivals even some Atour 3.6 hotels in first-tier cities. The lobby features a water feature paired with pine trees, creating a Zen-like elegance. The reading and relaxation area is stylish and sophisticated. The gym and laundry room are spacious and offer a great experience. The guest rooms are simply yet elegantly decorated with meticulous attention to detail. The bedding is comfortable, the projector provides a fantastic movie-watching experience, the bathroom is thoughtfully equipped, and the toiletries are clean and exquisite. The room is impeccably clean and has a comfortable layout. The breakfast is high-quality and offers a wide variety of options. The specialty tofu pudding stall is particularly outstanding, making for a very pleasant dining experience. The reception staff are friendly and patient, resolving any issues quickly and efficiently. The location is also superb, very close to the old street and Shuncheng, just a ten-minute taxi ride away. It's also within walking distance of Green Lake, making transportation extremely convenient. Choosing this hotel for a trip to Kunming is simply a dream come true, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming. 👍

We have only two people, but we booked family room for more space and it turns out as expected, big room with more than enough space to open our luggage wide, clean, comfy bed, no smell as requested. Staffs were very helpful eventhough they’re not speaking English. Breakfast was good with variety choices. Location is not so bad, around 1+ km to Old Street. Overall is great, I’d love to stay here again.

We had a comfortable stay at Atour with no complaints at all. The staff were genuinely helpful throughout, always happy to assist and quick to sort out anything we needed. They were really nice too, and even gave us rose biscuits on check-out, which was a lovely touch. Breakfast was decent, a nice enough start to the day. One fun little extra was the robot that brings your ******* food deliveries up to your room. The laundry service was also great to have. If there’s a wait for the machine, you can just leave your things with a card filled out with your details, and housekeeping will help get it through for you. Once everything’s dry, they bag it all up and leave it ready for you to collect or you can request it to be sent to your room. So convenient and really took the hassle out of it. A comfortable, well-run stay that we’d happily recommend.
