Hotel di Daerah Cuihu, Kunming

I had a pleasant stay at Grand Park Kunming. The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to popular attractions, restaurants, and transportation, making it a great base for exploring the city. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere after a full day of sightseeing. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and they were always willing to assist with any questions. Overall, Grand Park Kunming offers excellent value, comfortable accommodations, and great service. I would happily stay here again when I return to Kunming.

First time staying at a youth hostel in China and overall it was a good experience. Pros: - Location is excellent. Just across road from cuihu. Lots of great coffee shops and bars within walking distance. - Cafeteria in the hostel had good coffee and a decent range of beers. I didn't personally eat there but other guests said the food was good as well - Big public area where you could socialise with other guests - Facilities were reasonable for a hostel at this price. Cons: - There were not a whole lot of activities organised by the hostel - Sound proofing is not the best. You can pretty easily hear things next door, upstairs or even from outside. - The atmosphere is a little hit or miss. I stayed here for 7 nights. The first few days, there were not many people that wanted to socialise but the last two nights, I met some great people and had a great time that I extended my stay by an extra night. I think the main issue with the hostel (and this is not necessarily their fault) is that some Chinese travellers choose to travel cheaply and the hostel offers a great price, so during my stay there were a lot of elderly people or families with young kids, which was not what I was expecting when staying at a youth hostel. These people mainly kept to themselves and I feel dampened the mood at the hostel. Overall, this was a solid hostel, but I would have tempered expectations when staying here if you are expecting a very social youth hostel.

This is our second day at Liride Red Hotel. In 2024, we stayed at the Guestroom City-View (bathroom). We gave a full score review at that time.. This time, we are a little disappointed with the room temperature control in 1805, a deluxe queen room. It is a nightmare, either too warm or too cold. We don’t have this problem in any other hotels we stayed in Yunnan. The controls is blocked by a bedside lamp, see photo. All things else, the hotel services were good and breakfast is well balanced with Western options.

The hotel itself is stunning, I love the lobby as well as the room. The room is spacious, modern, and clean. It has a bathtub in a separate room with a couch. It also has a shower in a room separated from the toilet so when one person showers, the other person doesn’t need to wait to use the sink or the toilet. The curtains can be opened & closed using a button next to the bed, which is super convenient for the morning when you just wake up and want a tiny little light before getting out of bed. We also get to have a little tea session in the afternoon for free. And the number one advantage of staying at this hotel is the location. It’s near the Green Lake, Wenlin street, Kunming Old Street. You walk across the street and there is a beautiful coffee compound that is my most favorite spot of the city. There is also a long walking bridge across the street where you can take a stroll up high. The cons: There is no elevator, but the room is on the 2nd floor so it’s not that bad. The toilet stall’s door is not from ceiling to floor, so the smell can get out of the stall into the room. But generally it wasn’t an issue for us, the pros are way more than the cons and we will definitely stay again if there is a chance.

The hotel is conveniently located opposite green lake and a scenic 15 mins walk to the old town with many cosy cafes enroute. Room and bed was comfy and had all the needed amenities and included a wholesome and hearty breakfast, mini bar and night deserts😊 We had a small incident on the day we checked in. The room Aircon wasn't cold. The manager on duty said they did not have any other room for us. However, our tour lead from 深中旅遊 阿濤 sorted it out for us in no time. Subsequently, the hotel staff Neo, Lisa and Malik did a great job on service recovery and made our trip whole again. We highly commend their hospitality and awesome attitude. I will stay at Zhong Wei again as long as they are here.

Check in was ok - staff was polite enough and helpful. The room did smell a little, maybe from previous smokers. There was tissue and hair on the floor and peanuts under the sofa - but they took care of it immediately The price was great for a location near the lake. Beds were comfortable Breakfast was a little paltry - but that’s ok - lots of eat outside at the cafes and restaurants! Overall a good price for the location, especially if you like it on the quieter side but still walkable to sights and amenities.

We are thrilled by the warm welcome at the front counter from the hotel staff. In particular, Ivy, who speaks perfect English and Cantonese, came to our rescue since our Mandarin is so poor. After a full day of sightseeing, we didn’t feel like going out for dinner, and Ivy even ordered our meal using her personal cell phone. We truly appreciate her going the extra mile to make our stay feel like home. The location of the hotel is lakeside with many local restaurants around. The hotel provides free specialty coffee for guests and has an excellent breakfast which we enjoyed very much.

當初訂它就是看中離翠湖近，到了發現是真方便，走路幾分鐘就到。白天逛完翠湖周邊的景點，晚上還能溜達過去吹吹風，對於來旅遊的人來説，位置省了不少事。 酒店剛開業沒多久，東西都特別新。進門第一感覺就是乾淨利落，設施一看就是全新的，用着很放心。大堂空間特別大，黑色為主調的設計，燈光偏暗，走進去很有氛圍感，不是那種亮堂堂的商務風。角落裡還有個借閲圖書區，逛累了回來坐那兒翻翻書，歇歇腳，挺愜意的。 房間也寬敞，行李箱攤開完全不礙事。床品必須重點誇，床墊軟硬剛好，被子枕頭都特別舒服，加上新酒店隔音好、沒什麼雜音，平時認床的我居然一覺睡到天亮，連鬧鐘都沒聽見。對於每天暴走兩萬步的遊客來説，能睡個好覺真的太重要了，第二天滿血復活繼續逛。 服務也得提一句，從前台到客房，工作人員態度都特別好，見面會主動打招呼，問路、要東西都響應得很快，辦入住的時候還耐心介紹了周邊怎麼逛、哪家米線好吃，感覺挺真誠的，不是那種公式化的客氣。 整體住下來沒什麼可挑的，位置好、東西新、睡得香、服務也舒服，對來旅遊的人來説這幾點就足夠了。下次來昆明還會選這家，也推薦給準備來翠湖玩的朋友。

We have only two people, but we booked family room for more space and it turns out as expected, big room with more than enough space to open our luggage wide, clean, comfy bed, no smell as requested. Staffs were very helpful eventhough they’re not speaking English. Breakfast was good with variety choices. Location is not so bad, around 1+ km to Old Street. Overall is great, I’d love to stay here again.

Housekeeper is very friendly and provides excellent service. Receptionists are very professional and polite. Facilities are excellent. Location is fantastic and close to all places we would like to visit. The buffet breakfast is highly recommended. Room is our favourite. Free laundry is a big bonus. We quite enjoyed the stay at this hotel and highly recommend it anyone who is interested in visiting Kunming, China.
