Fruit & Spice Wellness Resort Zanzibar
4.3/571 Ulasan
At first, we read quite a few bad reviews about here that almost made us cancel our trip but we decided to take the risk and visit here, the drive was very smooth apart from the little untarred roads leading to the resort which personally I don’t see it as a big deal like some other commenters. The resort was very much our moneys worth, we had our private butler Ramoso, who made sure that our stay was unforgettable and not to mention how our villa was so beautiful and peaceful. We stayed at the spice luxury villa 509 and it has the best views ever. If you want your peace and quiet, just ask for that and you won’t be disappointed. The amenities are very much in good state, the staff very friendly and always smiling. The only thing that I would suggest is: to make sure that if you book all inclusive, that means every restaurant should be included not just a few other than that, our stay was very good and we would be visiting again In the near future. Alma Boutique Hotel

What a hotel! Absolutely beautiful decor and facilities. Staff were all so friendly, helpful and professional, never wanted for anything whilst there, service was impeccable. Rooms were really good size and fantastically stocked with shower robes, slippers, shower accessories, toothbrushes, razors, shaving foam, towels, minibar and coffee. The food was all absolutely amazing too, the portion size are quite big so make sure you’re hungry. Overall, this hotel is just great, I would definitely recommend it for a stay. Only words of caution I would give you, take some water shoes with you as the sea outside the hotel is full of urchins. I would also recommend doing the snorkelling and starfish tour, and go to Salaam Cave to see the turtles. The general manager was also there with his wife both of whom were fantastic hosts and always came to say hello in the evenings and ensure everything is okay.

Karafuu Beach Resort & Spa

We stayed in a family cottage well adapted to our needs (2 kids, 4 and 7 years old). It was a bit rustic, which is exactly what we wanted. Even when the place was full, we never felt overwhelmed by people, which was a big plus. The staff members were always nice to us, especially to our kids. The location was perfect, allowing us to enjoy the beauty of Zanzibar. We went snorkeling (20 minutes by boat) and saw thousands of fish, starfish, and coral (unfortunately, much of it was bleached due to global warming). We highly recommend the various excursions available, such as trips to Zanzibar, Paradise Highland, spice farms, and all the different beaches. We particularly enjoyed Mtende Beach, where you can have lunch at Mtende Rock. However, we suggest avoiding the dolphin tours. For excursions, head to the beach and trust Eddie. He is very well-organized and offers cheaper rates than the hotel tours.
Dhow Inn Boutique Hotel

Dhow Inn is located in the heart of Paje. We loved that we could walk out to the beach and take a walk on this beautiful sandy beach. The beach offers lots of options for restaurants, cafes and bars as well as excursion options from different operators. The hotel’s location makes it a convenient base for all your adventures. Accommodations: The room offered comfortable beds, clean linens, and private balcony with a private pool/spa. The room was also equipped with a safe, coffee maker, and the pool with lounges and umbrellas was right Infront of the room. Amenities: Dhow Inn offers 3 swimming pools providing a refreshing retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel also has a gym and spa for those who can't miss a workout. Dining: We really liked the buffet style dining with many options to choose from including salads, sandwiches, fruits, hot options, deserts, juices, tea and coffee. The restaurant also offers a la carte dining, but must be reserved the day before. We really enjoyed dinner time show by local acrobats. Service: The staff at Dhow Inn Hotel were genuinely friendly and attentive. They were always eager to assist with any requests or recommendations, making us feel valued and welcomed throughout our stay.
Baraza Resort and Spa Zanzibar

My friend and I stayed at Baraza for three nights and it was simply magical.  The resort is like stepping back into the era of sultans...lots of gold and decorative touches everywhere. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful...lots of flowers and trees. We had villa 29 which was a massive two bedroom apartment that had a veranda and private plunge pool. It was air-conditioned, immaculate, and bug free. Plus we never heard noise from other guests. Breakfast is robust with lots of options and at our request Esther the restaurant manager arranged for us to have Swahili food for lunch and dinner...which went above and beyond our expectations. It was so so so delicious. She also arranged for us to have lunch on the beach...we felt so cared for and special. The beach is pristine with powdery sand and no garbage. During the day when the tide is out the hotel is kind enough to provide complimentary reef shoes so you can go out and see the many kinds of sealife in the shallow pools- coral, fish, sea spiders, urchins and eels were all things we saw. The Spa is divine...we did the Sultans Bath treatment which was decadence personified. A hot bath with flowers in a large private suite followed by a body scrub and massage. Lovely. The property also has a high staff to guest ratio, meaning all of our requests were handled promptly. Gharib gave us our orientation and was constantly around to answer questions and inquire about how our stay was going.  Ramadhan and Ally kept us hydrated with a consistent stream of ice water and Zanzibar Dawas made with a locally produced alcohol. Anthony kept us entertained with stories about his many travels. If you are a solo traveler, ask for him...he is fun to talk to! Peresia was our favorite server and she arranged to have the passionfruit-mango jam they served at breakfast packed for me to take home. Truly outstanding service.  Note that the power does go out a few times a day...no one told us at check-in so we were startled at first. However the generators do kick in after a couple of minutes. Also the concierge desk is not manned 24/7 so if you want to book an excursion, make sure you do it during business hours.
