BnA Alter Museum

Very good stay with perfect location. A walk behind the hotel is the bars and restaurants district of Kyoto - you can find a lot of speakeasies and enjoy nights of drinking cocktails and music. It is also just a 5-10 minutes walk to the station which connects to the various attractions in Kyoto - like Fushimi Inari Shrine, and Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. We went during New Year’s Day - and although some shops are closed but bars are open and the hotel reception has a list of restaurants which are open as well and is helpful in letting us know. The room ( we picked one of the artist’s room) and it is wonderful. It is big and spacious by Japanese standard with very large bathroom , separate bathtub and toilet and large space. The facade of the room is also a clean, minimalist look with the detailed white and black cups down. We really enjoyed the room and the space. Breakfast is complimentary and there is a good selection of toasts. One of us is vegetarian - and they do have a selection of vegetarian toast ( not much) but they accommodated with vegetarian soup if you ask !

並沒有牙刷，跟描述的不符。可能是為了照顧設計的緣故，感覺設施不太齊全。早餐不錯，小哥哥很禮貌。燈光什麼的比較重設計，反而並不實用，喜歡設計感的人應該會有感覺吧，但我還是覺得實用更重要些。衞生應該不錯，進門要求脱鞋換酒店的脱鞋。説實話，一般住着有壓力，設計師應該會很喜歡吧。

對於我們這種三口之家，兩張大床真是非常舒服！加上藝術特質的裝修加友好的店員，還是非常推薦，樓下就是7-11，也很方便

This hotel is a perfect arty hotel which worked well for our family of 3. Our room was decorated with quirky art pieces and was just the right size for us - bigger than other Japanese rooms we have stayed in. Loved all the art work around the hotel and the bar in the foyer was cool. Great location too!!

About 5 to 10 minute walk from a subway station or shopping area. We had the deluxe suite for 2 nights. Upon entering the room you get an audiovisual exhibition. The room is spacious and has a luxurious feel to it. It has a view and you can lounge in front of it or from the bed. The quality of the bed is good. Amenities okay (coffee and water). There is a special room inside of the room which you can enter from a special way or a somewhat normal way. Inside the room your senses get activated by movement and non movement. Sounds kinda mysterious but i dont want to spoil as much. Staff is kind. Room is clean. Breakfast was a choice menu and it was good.

Everything was great here. One thing I would point out that I'm not sure that either ******* or the BnA website do a fantastic job of explaining (maybe just not in English) but while the hotel is an art hotel and the rooms are each art pieces, the rooms are also absurdly well appointed hotel rooms too. Like, it had everything I'd expect from a 4 star hotel, and it was an art piece you could explore. I didn't book multiple nights here (even though I had originally planned to do so) because I thought it may be lacking in some of the basic comforts I'd expect from a hotel on a long trip to a country I've never been before, but it had all of that and then some. TV? Check, even an active Netflix subscription. WiFi? Phenomenal speeds and stability. One of the best showers/non Jacuzzi style tubs I've ever use? You better believe it. And then on top of all of those things the view from the room I stayed in (EYE) was possibly one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. As I checked in the sun was setting over Kyoto, casting beautiful orange glows across the Gion neighborhood. A perfect view of the river out of the window next to the sofa. The hallway had floor to ceiling windows overlooking Kyoto including a view of the top of Kyoto tower. I won't spoil the art portion, I think that's worth experiencing for yourself, but even without the full blown gallery and art installation in the room itself this hotel was absolutely worth it.

BnA was a beautiful hotel and the staff and services were excellent. The hotel is within walking distance of great restaurants and the historic Gion district as well as shops and bars. Highly recommended

We had the best experience here. The room was great, the staff is incredible, and it was centrally located to sites, restaurants, bars, and close by train stations.
