Excellent location. 5min walk to Tozai line and Kintetsu line. 5 minutes walk to the interconnected shopping street. And 2 minutes walk to kamogawa. Perfect!

I've already been to Kyoto several times so the trip really was to enjoy the city and relax. For this reason I was looking for a room with a nice view and stayed at the Kamogawa River View Twin. I think I was able to stay at this room at a hefty discount (room rates now seem very high) and that may influence this review. Nonetheless, if you do plan on staying here I would highly recommend the Kamogawa room. Just sitting by the window made the whole trip worthy. Also recommend the shower facility on the ground floor. While the room bathroom / tub was also great we were very happy with the outdoor onsen like facility. Did not do breakfast as there are so many options near the hotel (Starbucks by the Kamo river for one). Everything was great.

Onsen closing 9am too early. Room Price is too expensive and breakfast yen 3,000 is too expensive because not too good.

Nice hotel located next to river, nearby the busy street but quiet atmosphere. Pleasant check in and check out experience. Solaria is my favourite brand so will book again in future.

This was my second time staying here and great service as always. Love their hotel breakfast and the location is in the middle of two stations. If you arrive during the Sakura period, you would be greeted by amazing views of the canals the moment you step out of the hotel entrance. Service was great as well and there is an in-house onsen that is very clean and relaxing.

Location is excellent with all eateries and shopping within a short stroll. Hotel has a public bath which is a nice addition and it also has self service laundry

Great location near Nishiki Market, Imperial Palace and Gion shopping street. It's also next to the Kamo river where there are amazing alleys of restaurant and shopping. The room is very spacious and comfortable. Toilet, Vanity Basin and bathing area is separated which is a great plus! Hotel staff is extremely friendly and amenities are free for taking at the hotel lobby. Lovely stay.

A mix of modern and traditional vibes. Worth a try, go for it. It is not difficult to locate the hotel too.

Room was alright, I think having minimal - no cleaning service was quite surprising.

Love everything about this hotel! The rooms are beautiful. Spa amenities are top notch, with both indoor and outdoor pools. Location is awesome. Short walk to Nishiki market area. Walkable to Gion as well. Access via subway is easy and not too far, but will be a bit troublesome if it rains. Find subway exit 3 which is a handicap lift near Hotel Okura side for easier access with luggage. Short walk to convenience stores and food options.

Awesome location. Beautiful surrounding along the river. Do get the rooms facing the garden.

Room is spacious comparing to other city hotels. Two double beds. Clean room. A very nice boutique hotel!
