We recently spent 4 nights here and had a great experience overall. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. The hotel's central location is very convenient, providing easy access to Kyoto's popular attractions. Although the room is a bit small, it’s was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. One of the standout features of this hotel is its stunning rooftop terrace overlooking the city, which was our favorite spot to unwind and relax at the end of each day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Sora Niwa Terrace Kyoto to anyone visiting this beautiful city.

The hotel is located away from the bustling tourist street Shijo-dori, which leads to one of the main shrines, Yasaka Shrine. We had a room on the 9th floor with a partial view of the city (for safety reasons, the windows only open 45 degrees in the vertical plane). A special feature of the room is the bathroom with a massage shower! After a busy day, it's very nice to relax your whole body under the hot streams. The breakfast is very tasty and filling, even though it is served in a box. All the products are fresh, and over the 3 days, we received 2 different boxes. Coffee, water, ice, and skincare toiletries are available 24 hours in the lobby. The location is convenient, making it easy to get to all the attractions and Kyoto Station by both subway and bus. The cleanliness in the room and throughout the hotel is of the highest standard!

Easily accessible and close to subway station. Perfect for female solo travellers as they have a dedicated level for female-only. There is also a restaurant on level 1 for quick fix before you start the day or if you want something simple for dinner.

This hotel has wonderful costumer services and the employees speak many languages. Right up the street there is a 7/11 store for all your snack run, there are cafe and restaurant within walking distance. The Karasuma-Oike station is literally 3-5 minutes walk. The best part is the traveler’s store that is about a 10 min walk. I been wanting to go there and finally got to visit it. This store has stationary items such as notebooks that can have you record your journey.

We really loved this hotel; it's the best we've stayed at in Japan. It excels in convenience, service, and cleanliness—surpassing even the 5-star hotel at Arima Onsen. There are many excellent restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Kyoto.

Very comfortable room and bed, and great bathroom! It had a lot of plugs so it was easy to charge everything. I didn't have a view but that was ok! There were plenty of laundry facilities and microwaves if you wanted to warm something up and you could get delivery to the lobby. It has a very pretty landscaped entrance and is only 5 minutes from Shijo station (5 mins to Kyoto station) and 10 mins to Shijo Omiya station. There is also a bus stop right outside that goes all the way to Kinkaku-ji temple! You are 20 mins for Gion and 15mins from the main shopping area. Easy to find somewhere to eat in the evening and get breakfast. There are free toilettes in the room but also in the lobby (lotion, cotton pads and cotton buds, iron etc) but the one thing I would have loved was UHT or fresh milk to be available. Yes there are markets nearby, yes there is an (unplugged) refrigerator in your room but I only wanted a little bit and this would have made my stay perfect. Still a great experience and definitely somewhere I would recommend for your stay in Kyoto.

Although the accessibility to subway stations and other places was not good, the location of the accommodation was in a residential area, so it had a good local atmosphere. The facilities were good, the service was friendly, and everything was good.

There is no own parking lot, no fitness room, and no large bathing area, except for a relatively high-end restaurant. Breakfast is included, but if you want to eat better, you have to pay extra. No matter how many nights you stay, only one dinner is included. This is the first time I have seen this kind of offer, and it is not an expensive dish. If you want to eat wagyu, you need to pay extra. The price is expensive and the portion is small. The rent itself is two to three times more expensive than other hotels in Kyoto area. When you book a room on the website, there is a balcony in the photo, but when you check in, you are told that it cannot be used. The view outside the window is the sidewalk across the street. The mattress has no elasticity and the more you sleep, the more it sinks. In the Mini bar, you need everything except water and coffee. Needless to say about the fees and prices. I really want to know why they charge this rent. It feels like a money grab. I have said that I will never stay in a hotel of this group in the future
