Hotel berhampiran Lo Chalet di Via Delle Cave, La Spezia

I loved this stay a lot more then some of the hotels in my trip, felt nice having your own key to a building. The room really surprised me, it was really nice and also in such a good spot of la spezia. La spezia surprised me, I was nervous as it seemed a bit rough around the edges but honestly such a lovely stay with trendy bars in every alleyway, just got to explore the streets. 10 min walk to the station which is right on the main Cinque Terre line going to the towns, I was a pro by the end of my stay. I felt like this was the place I actually met other Italians as the cinque Terre can be super congested with tourists so I really recommend staying here instead of one of the 5 towns and making base doing day trips to the villages. The reception were really lovely and helped you try and understand the area before letting you go off to your apartment room. I didn't spend much time in the room but I slept really well and all the facilities worked and there was information in the hallway if needed about ferry times and spots to go to. La Spezia was also one of the more affordable parts of Italy I went to with some really good food and drinks.

The hotel’s decor gave me quirky, artsy vibes the moment I walked in. Artwork. Plants. Little knickknacks. Even a fish tank. Our room had a small desk and clothes rack. And a refrigerator over the desk that took me a while to realize it was a refrigerator. Another chair would’ve also been nice, since sitting options were limited to one desk chair or bed. Ac was off and it was unfortunate since it was cloudy and humid the entire time we were there. Also, no window screens, which seems to be the norm in Italy. The hotel only serves breakfast, and they do it so well. Excellent selection of pastries, cold meats and cheeses, yogurt, even fresh baked bread. Its close proximity to the city center is a plus, as well as the fact that the first village in Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore) is only 7 minutes away by train.

Loved the location and it was very convenient and easy to checkin. The place was super clean and had all that we needed for a one night stay. We were also allowed to dropp off our luggage earlier which was very convenient. The bathroom was separate from the room but it was super clean.

The hotel offers easy access, and the on-site parking is a major convenience, making our stay hassle-free. The rooms are amazing with the different categories and great options for families as well and everything looked really new! The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, from the reception to the room service and housekeeping teams. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of options, particularly for those with specific dietary needs. I highly recommend the Sunset boat tour—it's a fantastic way to explore the region and take in the breathtaking scenery.

Fantastic location in La Spezia at 100m from the train to visit Cinqueterre. You can also book the private parking and the staff are very nice and give you plenty of information and recommendations. They even gave us an iron when we asked for it. The only con would be that our bathroom was little and you had to close the door in order to get to the washbasin.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was available until 8PM. They had a great location right next to the train and within walking distance of a great nightlife and restaurants. La Spezia is a cute city. It's only a 7 minute train ride to Cinque Terra villages. The shower needs a door, but was spacious and had warm water. I did experience some problems with vaping/ electronic cigarette smoking on site. Unfortunately, some of it seemed to be coming from the cleaning crew. Hotels really need to understand how bad this problem is and how negatively it affects guests, especially people with asthma.

We have returned this week from a great 6 night stay at the NH Hotel La Spezia in Liguria Italy. Our room was a recently renovated Junior Suite on the 8th floor at the front of the Hotel, which gave us a great panoramic view of the whole of the Bay of La Spezia. The suite consisted of a large bedroom with an electronic safe situated in the built in wardrobe, a separate lounge with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. Wifi was available throughout the Hotel. The bathroom was modern and clean with a large walk-in shower cubicle. There were wall mounted televisions in both the lounge and the bedroom. We had breakfast in the dining room on the ground floor during our stay which included a great choice of hot and cold food and drinks. There is also a small bar on the ground floor and food is also available from the restaurant. The location of the Hotel is very good overlooking public gardens, the sea promenade, Cruise Terminal and Ferries to the nearby islands and the villages of the Cinque Terre National Park. It is a thirty minute walk from Spezia Centrale Station to the Hotel. There is a large choice of bars and restaurants available within a few minutes walk from the Hotel. The Hotel staff throughout our stay were all very pleasant and helpful and the bedroom suite and public areas were all well maintained. We found that the City of La Spezia had a good range of attractions to visit including the Castello San Giorgi and the Naval Technical Museum which we visited. Our main reason for visiting the area was to explore the 5 villages of the Cinque Terre; Monterosso Al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, which we managed to do by means of the excellent train service. Cinque Terre Cards available from the train station cost 18.20 euros for one day unlimited travel between La Spezia and the villages and these also allow access to the footpath network between the villages. During our stay we also visited the beautiful resort of Portovenere by ferry, which is also served by buses from La Spezia. We took the opportunity to visit the picturesque village of Santa Margherita Ligure from where we took a ferry to nearby Porto Fino. Buses also run between Santa Margherita and Porto Fino. We found the NH Hotel an ideal location to stay and from which to explore the area and would stay at the hotel again should we return to La Spezia.

Overall would recommend this hotel as the location is unmatched and not a lot of other higher-end hotels in the vicinity. Some details: -Ambiance: Hotel lobby was clean and nice. Rooms were beautiful, spacious, clean, and well-decorated. It seems like most of the rooms would offer a good view of the marina. -Amenities: Breakfast is on the 1st floor terrace which offers a decent spread and amazing view of the marina. Bathrooms in the units are updated with rainfall showers and spacious. Bed was quite comfortable but the one we had was 2 twins put together so a slight break was felt in between but wasn't uncomfortable. If you are driving, parking is easy and close to the hotel (less than 1 minute walk from the hotel entrance). -Location: This hotel has the perfect location for ferry service (within 2-3 walk). However, it is about 25 minute cab ride from the closest train station (in the event that you want to return to Portovenere after the last ferry from Cinque Terre around 5ish). -Service: The front desk/reception is effective and organized; however, they are a little stiff and low energy relative to other similar properties we've visited in Italy. The wait staff at the restaurant on the 1st floor is slightly disorganized both at breakfast and dinner (eg. forgotten breakfast coffee or provided incorrect dinner wines); but overall everyone is cordial.
