The hotel was slightly weathered by time but the customer experience and location by the Lake Gardens was superb. It was also within walking distance of a range of hawker fare. I'd recommend a lake-facing room for an excellent view.

Hotel ok untuk perjalanan singkat. Lokasinya sangat bagus kerana ia berhadapan dengan lotus dan taiping sentral. Infornt hotel juga mempunyai medan selera untuk orang cina. Tetapi agak bising pada tengah malam kerana bar di sebelah hotel.

Location is great, just beside the river - good to pay a bit more for a room with a balcony overlooking the river. It can get a bit noisy with the boats passing by on the river but the lovely view, especially at sunset and early morning, more than make up for it. The lodging doesn’t look like much from the outside, more like a factory block with a huge eagle at the top. You can park your car on the street or at the opposite temple for free. As pointed out by other reviewers, there is no lift and the stairs are pretty steep and dimly lit. The wifi and tv were down when I was there but I didn’t mind too much. Do go for the interesting river tours, taste the local dishes or buy fresh fish from the vendors in front of the lodge. There is a street market on Monday mornings and Saturday evenings selling local goodies. Great for a short stay.
