This hotel is beautifully situated on the beach and a 20 minute walk to the harbour and town along a beautiful seafront walk. The hotel is kept very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful. The staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. Will definitely return.

I arrived at Castillo in the early evening of October 2nd 2023 as a solo traveller. Having left home some 8 hours previously, I felt tired , hungry , and thirsty and was therefore looking forward to being welcomed to my apartment quickly and efficiently as a holidaymaker. Instead I found myself face to face with a surly and charmless young man who ran through the check in procedure in a bored and disinterested fashion before thrusting a grainy and badly photocopied map into my hand in order to find my apartment myself amongst hundreds of similar white bungalows in the complex At this point I might add I’m the only traveller checking in at that point. Some 45 minutes later I find my apartment after walking round the complex umpteen times , if the check in guy had removed himself from behind the desk and simply pointed to a gate 50 yards up the road all this could have been avoided. The apartment was tired looking , sagging curtains , broken sofa bed , the main beds were uncomfortable metal frame affairs with a mismatched wooden headboard jammed up between them and the walls No air con , simply antiquated ceiling fans/lights which were hard to figure out to keep running without the lights on. Kitchenette appallingly equipped . Something scuttles when I open a cupboard Blocked drains emitting foul odours in the bathroom The roads around the complex are shocking , featuring broken manhole covers , broken electrical boxes , discarded rubbish lying around , and oh watch out for cars randomly crossing your path without warning from the strange little mini roundabouts which allow cars to zoom in front of people in a pedestrian zone. Also beware the electric scooters hacking around everywhere I think I had 3 room service visits in a fortnight , and despite paying for late checkout on my last day I then had a cleaner wondering why I was still there at 12 , I had to google the words paid late check out to get rid of her , obviously someone hadn’t done their job! Finally if you come here and are not particularly fit , it’s approximately 1 1/4 miles to the nearest beach , despite saying beach resort and a steep uphill climb on the return I’m sure Castillo will give the standard reply to this review , but you need to revamp your rooms , employ staff that are good with people , repair your roads , look after your grounds properly , including using the irrigation system in order to avoid the eyesore of dead plants everywhere, last but not least some general information given to guests and proper signage around the place would greatly help!

Stayed for one night on a solo trip from corralejo, everything was spotless,great location the place was lovely will definitely be back again.

The hotel itself is a proper 3 star place- that’s to reflect on facilities and the hotel grounds, but because of great staff and their awesome personalities, I have rated my stay 4 stars. Moreover, nice bits of green space here and there with flowers and palm trees, no issues with sun lounges, gym and jacuzzi indoor swimming pool and beach ball, tennis available . Most of the guests are elderly Spanish and German with families, sparingly mixed with French. Not many British people were there, what I found actually great! I could finally start learning Spanish and the hotel guests and the staff were very happy to support me on that. My husband speaks basic Spanish so we made plenty of friends during our stay. The hotel itself needs little bit updating, but that’s not a big thing to be honest, it’s not something that will make anybody’s stay awkward. The staff are amazing and very friendly to BRITISH people- as long as you respect them, they will make your stay best possible you can imagine in this hotel. Miguel (Milo) the gentleman who performs all the entertainment- what a lovely guy! He keeps going whole day, 6 days per week to keep guests happy! I have won plenty of sparkling wine bottles while playing their famous bingo 😉. Food is always fresh and it’s typical Fuertaventuran cuisine - with touch of European elements. So if you don’t like goat meat, salads and Spanish version of seafood, then that’s not place for you. There is abundance of wine (all 3 kinds available from tap) sparkling wine for breakfast if you wish- that’s an old Spanish regional tradition, beer unlimited from the tap and unlimited local spirits ( shocker). So if you don’t know Spanish culture at all and you expect everyone to serve you because you are British, then this place is not for you. It’s not a commercial stay at Royal Suite, which I really appreciated. I will definitely go back there. I have also forgotten to mention about beautiful UNESCO beaches nearby the hotel (10 min walk). Going to this part of the island your experience will be more nature related, so if you looking for enjoyment and flocks of people hanging around, then book in your stay in northern part of Fuertaventura.

This is my third time in an H10 hotel and in general I had a lovely holiday. Staff are mostly excellent and the food is pretty good. However there are some areas for improvement. The pre-check in website doesn’t work. The passport field was pre populated with the wrong number and greyed out so I couldn’t edit it. I had booked a superior room in advance but on arrival they said they didn’t have one so I got downgraded. No daytime animation guy over the weekend for games around the pool. This isn’t mentioned on the H10 website. We booked only 5 days on the basis we would have the animation guy doing activities. I had even emailed the hotel as I noticed this on the app and they replied saying it’s not been updated yet, when the truth was that he doesn’t work on weekends - this is fine but they should stipulate this on the website or better still, have more than one animation guy to cover for him. When I asked about this the staff appeared to think it was justified somehow “because it’s moving day” which is ridiculous because a lot of guests still stay in the hotel over the weekend. The pool bar where the main entertainment is way too small. It consists of around 30 tables but there’s several hundred in the hotel… we saw some people giving up and going to bed because there was no room for them with a visibile line of sight to the person singing. There are hundreds of mirrors in the dining room which is really weird and distracting. Booked a taxi with reception that never arrived. Later discovered it wasn’t booked even though the receptionist told me it was and almost missed our boat trip as a result. The staff at the bars don’t allow you to take a bottle of wine for your room, like in other H10 hotels. This is irritating and petty. You have to pay 50 cents to change your pool towel. An unnecessary and silly charge. The Sunday bbq was excellent but would have been a lot better if we’d known this in advance on the app as we had already made plans that day and only caught the end of it. I did have a nice stay but if the above could have been addressed it would have made it so much better. Staff, food, drinks and pool good. Evening entertainment good apart from the white party which was just a DJ. I’ll probably keep coming back to H10 on occasion but not without taking a long look at all the other options first.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived here. The rooms are like a mini apartment, spacious, bright, clean and airy. There's everything you need to cook & clean. The bathroom looked very new and clean. The beds were so comfortable I slept better here than at home. Noise levels were fine in our room. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The location is exceptional. After reading reviews here I really was dreading my stay but the only very small things were that hotplate was fairly tired and the numbers had rubbed off, which didn't hinder anything, and there was building work on a couple of days that was out of the hotels control and didn't matter anyway as we were out most of the day. I truly cannot believe how lovely it was especially for the budget I will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend.

La atencio excelente., tanto en recepcion como restaurante pero los servicios en la instalacion un poco defaborables en el sentido que yo en lo personal que estaba con mi mujer embarazads me toco una habitacion en lo mas bajo el primer dia todo bien porque hay ascensor pero los restantes dias los tenian fuera de servicio lo cual en un sitio como ese creo q no puede fallar. El gimnasio un poco pobre y la unica maquina q tenia no funcionaba bien, el parking imposible al segundo dia fue q pude conseguir uno y pagandolo al hotel, cuando vas a reservan te aparece una opcion de desayuno buffet por 4 € eso no existe jjj. El resto todo bien. Creo q deberian garantizar los servicios como el ascensor mantenerlos en optimas condociones. Por el resto todo bien.
