I booked one double room, but we have two adults and one 11 years old child. I am worry about that I need to add extra bed for my kid because only 2 single beds provided according to the booking record before I arrive. However, the truth is that the room has three single beds. That makes us have a good sleep. It also shows this hotel is so sweet for the guests. The room is cleaner and larger than any one I lived in Iceland. In addition, the breakfast is very rich. I strongly recommend this hotel if you want to travel or stay for the diamond circle in the Iceland.

Liked the location but was difficult to find the reception because the sign to the hotel was too small for the entrance. The sign needs to be bigger so guests driving there can find it easier and not have to drive all around to find it!

Very elegant, clean and quite place. Comfortable bed and pillows. Best breakfast of our entire trip, the kind you find in 5 star hotels.Reception is very efficient, we were late to check in and keys were waiting for us… Nice view from the room.

This is an old boarding school, but the rooms are nice, decent size and with private bathrooms. Its a small town, but the location is good. Breakfast included.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay while touring Lake Myvatin. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet each morning was outstanding! Staff were friendly and helpful. One evening we enjoyed going to the lounge to relax with drinks and play cards. Location is ideal and although the area is a bit remote, the hotel has a very nice restaurant.

You have to know this is a school in Winter to change your expectations. The rooms are big double dorm rooms so lack any extras. No bedside light, quite stark. Good geographically for visiting the Myvatn area. We weren’t able to eat in the restaurant as they had coach parties there. You can’t book ahead for dinner either. There is a small friendly roadside restaurant about 5 minutes drive. They haven’t any laundry facilities now.

This hotel is a boarding house during the school year so accommodations are very simple, basically a dorm room. However, the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very good. It is a good location with nearby geothermal pool available.
