We attended a conference and was due to eat in one of the restaurants with other delegates for an evening meal. However, due to my partners medical condition we asked if we could possibly take our meal in the bar. I think I spoke to the deputy manager and if he isn't the deputy manager he ought to be and he needs to be promoted to manager which he may already be! His name was Richard (Bowen?) and he was so helpful. He served our meal promptly and politely never making us feel we were giving him extra work. A big thank you and well done to him for such good service.

Our Telford hotel features our new generation bedrooms, each with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. We were attending the English Pickleball Open at the international centre so this was a perfect location. Two minute walk there plus easy access to several places to eat and the shopping centre. The staff were friendly and tried to be as helpful as they could be. We didn't eat there so cannot comment on the food. The internet was useless, and as the phone signal for us was also poor, we were unable to use our data to access information. I was given an access code to their premier internet but that would not connect as it went round in circles before dropping out again. It's going to be upgraded, but it was lucky I did not have to work at all as it never connected. The bath/shower was slippery and my husband slipped badly, injuring himself. We did get a bath mat but this should have been in there from the outset. It was very clean with the usual Premier Inn facilities but the internet situation was a total pain.

The room was nice and clean the hotel was nice. Only a few gripes, firstly when we booked we were informed we'd get a free Breakfast? A choice of either bacon, beans, toast, or cereal does not constitute a free breakfast it hardly made a bacon sandwich. Secondly we weren't informed that on Mondays Breakfast stop at 9:30 we'd have liked a coffee from the coffee maker before we left but it was too much trouble to make us one. Thirdly our room though comfortable and clean seemed to have a large air con unit underneath the window so sleeping for me was incredibly difficult I had to purchase ear plugs to block out the sound which sounded like a road sweeper Idling outside our room. However the staff were friendly and helpful. Next time I book I will not bother with the ”breakfast” and I will ask not to be put in a room by a car park or a AC unit.
