Boutique Hotel Catshuis

Wonderful location in a beautiful historical building. Room was very comfortable and very silent, especially when realizing it is a real down-town location. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast, you can choose from the regular menu, including unlimited coffee/tea/juice, meaning no waste of a buffet where there are normally a lot of things you don’t like anyway.

Loved this hotel! The room was spacious, very clean and modern with a massive bathroom. The location was perfect, walking distance from everywhere in Leeuwarden we wanted to go to, and seconds walk from loads of bars and restaurants and shops (and overlooking the canal). There was also the Oldehove car park about 3 mins walk and the Zaailand car park about 5 mins walk (both 10 euro per day). The Zaailand had staff on duty what seemed all the time and so if you’re worried about leaving your car, go to Zaailand. The room was well sound proofed so we heard no noise at all, despite being very central. They had Rituals diffusers scattered around which made the whole place smell wonderful. The Fire cafe next door (where you collect your keys) had a great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff and we also had our breakfast here, which was nice. The only slight negatives (am only adding so you have a full picture) is that the rooms were up 2 very steep flights of stairs and there is no lift. It was a bit hair raising with our big suitcase. So if you have walking difficulties this is probably not the place for you. Also the bathrooms are wet rooms and the way it’s set out the toilet area gets wet if you have a shower (which I hate!) Lastly the staff all belong to the Fire cafe next door and consequently there are no staff on site after closing time (between 11-12) until 830. I felt a little uneasy about this, although of course it was fine on our visit. Overall though it was a fabulous stay in a fabulous room with friendly staff to help.

Un séjour au top. L’hôtel se situe dans un magnifique bâtiment typique de l’architecture des villes hollandaise. La décoration est comme toujours aux pays bas extrêmement soignée, la chambre avec un lit immense et tout le confort attendu. Le thé et le café en quantité très appréciable après une journée de visite. Comme toujours aux pays, le personnel très gentil et aidant. Le petit dej servi à table délicieux et copieux. À savoir entrée par le restaurant à côté qui fait partie de la boutique hôtel. Je recommande chaudement et y retournerai lors d’un prochain séjour.

Perfecte locatie in het centrum van Leeuwarden, zonder dat je binnen iets van het stadsgeluid hoort. De kamer is ruim, het bed en de regendouche prima. De aankleding van de kamer is wel wat kaal. Wat jammer is dat de kamer met airco verwarmd wordt en bij aankomst de kamer heel koud was. Het opwarmen kost best een tijdje.

Gostei muito do hotel, desde a cama muito confortável, ao quarto e casa de banho muito espaçosos, sempre tudo muito limpo e asseado e um pequeno almoço fabuloso com produtos de boa qualidade. Para além disso, a sua localização é excelente, pois fica mesmo no centro onde se encontra o comercio e muitas explanadas.

We hebben een nacht in het Catshuis geslapen en in een woord fantastisch. Het ontvangst was super, we voelde ons direct welkom. De kamer was perfect, schoon en alles wat nodig was was. De locatie, hartje centrum Leeuwarden in de en mooi hotel maakte het helemaal af. Iedereen die Leeuwarden bezoekt zouden we aanraden dit hotel te boeken.iedereen, ook in het café was iedereen oprecht vriendelijk en gastvrij. Al met al helemaal top, een dikke 10+
