Hotel Daerah Shizhong di Leshan

This is honestly one of the most comfortable and enjoyable hotels we ever stayed in China. The photos simply don’t do it justice—the VIEWS, bed, and atmosphere are far more stunning in person. We booked the two largest river-view rooms on the 10th floor, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. At night, the river lights create a peaceful and magical view that is hard to describe. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and each room had its own bathtub with an incredible view. Relaxing in the tub while overlooking the river was one of the highlights of our stay. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. The mattress, bedding, and pillows were perfect, and we slept incredibly well every night. The service was also outstanding. Staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Leshan. We will definitely be back.

The service and room was exceptional. When we didn't completely understand the location of where breakfast was served, they had a shuttle take us directly there. Breakfast was delicious with a large variety in the buffet. The room was spacious, with all the extras, and extremely comfortable. It was tastefully decorated to fit in the Giant Buddha park. The room was spotlessly clean. The luxury towels felt wonderful. Location is excellent as it is in the Giant Buddha Park. Hotel and the location was extremely beautiful.

Would have liked if they reached out a day in advance to let us know we could call them to pick us up at the carpark area becauae the hotel itself is not accessible by normal cars. But the front desk was friendly and upgraded me to a slightly bigger room. Love that their key is a beaded bracelet, and the room aesthetic and feel is wonderful. The blinds is sometimes stuck, but they are quick to come and help you. It rained the night I was in so leaving the window open allowed cool air to come in, which was great, but the bird sounds in the morning can be piercing that they woke me up haha. Overall lovely place.

I book bcos i saw the jet tub, but to my disappointment it is only a normal tub. Jet is not working. The room is clean . The reception is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Plus point. Always ready to help happily. The funny thing is, the Didi always stopped either away from the stay or on the main road is ok if I don't have luggagebut with luggage it is really inconvenient for me. Fortunately, the girls came to help. Very close to the train station. .

Most beautiful hotel we have been in for a while. Spacious rooms and place to store our bicycles. Would highly recommend coming here!

Our one-night stay was fine. (We did not have breakfast.) The hotel is very modern and well-appointed. It was was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The railway station was a 10-minute walk away - further than the name suggests, but manageable. Overall, the amenities and facilities were good, although there was no safety deposit box. Several restaurants and convenience stores were within walking distance. We took a taxi to get to Leshan Giant Buddha and walked to the station to catch a train to Emeishan.

Excellent location in the heart of the lively Shizhong district. Very well served by public transport. Easy and direct access to and from the train station. The Big Buddha site is a 40-minute walk away. Considering the price paid for the room and the three included meals, the overall value for money is more than worthwhile. The reception staff were very welcoming. My room on the 6th floor was spacious (large enough to have a bathtub!), clean, quite bright, with comfortable bedding. My room overlooked the central roundabout, yet the area was quiet. The bathroom was a good size and clean. A hairdryer and electric kettle were available in the room. Bottled water was provided daily. The in-room Wi-Fi was very good. There was a huge projection screen, but I didn't use it. The electrical outlets require an adapter to plug in European devices. The central air conditioning was efficient. A mirror in the room wluld have been a welcome addition but was missing, as a dedicated luggage storage area, like is common in many hotels in China, was needed to avoid having to leave luggage on the open floor for the entire stay. The breakfast restaurant is the hotel's biggest drawback. Located on the 8th floor, it offers a buffet breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. This place isn't a restaurant, but at best a market stall. It's noisy, too small, dirty, and in a state of disrepair. The quality of the buffet is mediocre. There are no drinks at breakfast except soy milk. This was my biggest disappointment, as I like to make meals a moment of peace and indulgence. The common areas are not cleaned. The carpet in the hallway outside my room wasn't brushed once in four days. It was filthy. The ashtrays in the hallways filled up with trash over the course of my four-day stay and were never emptied. The laundry area was completely uninviting. In short, the hotel felt very average and didn't match the photos plastered everywhere, making it my most disappointing accommodation experience during my month in China.

My main issue was that I came to an internationally branded hotel, expecting high levels of hygiene. The toilet definitely had a weird smell. The sink had a strand of hair in it when I checked in. The sheets felt a little damp. This may be some of the fabric softener they use? There is no way this is a 4star tier hotel. The hotel is far away from the main attractions or the station. About 20$ taxi from the Buddha. 10$ taxi from the station. Other than that, the staff at the door were helpful

We were welcome by two staff at the reception. Xiao Zhang was very helpful. He gives us clear instructions on how to get to Leshan Giant Buddha and recommend two options. We chose the ferry option. The other reception staff was Xiao Li. Both of them are polite and hospitable.
