Hotel Nazionale

I have many wonderful memories from our stay at this hotel. We actually stayed here when I could find nothing in Cinque Terra (CT), but I am so glad that it turned out that way. We went to CT for part of a day, and due to the crowds, we left as soon as we could. We had a pretty large room with a balcony. Breakfast was wonderful. We used the rooftop garden for our happy hour, which was ideal. I used the free bike to go to the next town toward the north, a paved trail through a bunch of tunnels. The front desk ladies were extremely pleasant and helpful. There were some fine restaurants very close to the hotel. The hotel looks spotless, although apparently a recent remodel made that possible.

September 2023: A wonderful hotel in the heart of Levanto. Things to mention: (1) An easy ten-minute walk from the train station; (2) Two blocks from the beach; (2) Nice and clean rooms, safe area, very nice staff; (3) Our breakfast was included and it was great. The standard breads, cheeses, meats, fruits, eggs, drinks, etc. You could sit outside in the cute terrace or sit inside; (4) Everything is close by — beach, restaurants, gelati stores, clothing and other stores.

We were booked in for 2 nights via Inntravel. The position is great for convenience. Reception were friendly and efficient The room was clean and beautifully decorated. We very much enjoyed the breakfast which had lots of choice and everything seemed fresh. We would definitely visit again.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of Levanto. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The hotel is very clean the breakfast is fabulous. The hotel has sun beds you can rent in a couple of the private beach clubs. Worth doing. Also free bike hire. Their restaurant across the road, Sapore, is a must. Wonderful meal. Great coffee & pastries too. This is our second stay here and a beautiful renovation has been done since our last stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent family run hotel, and close to all the restaurants and the beach. Rooms were very comfortable, extremely clean and well appointed. Bathroom was a little small but very well equipped. Breakfast was delicious. Fresh produce and really friendly service from the girls in the kitchen and coffee station. Good language skills on reception in French and English. There is a small rooftop terrace with great views.

Hotel Nazionale was full at the time of booking so we went for five nights at their flat, 100m from the Levanto seafront. Some 30 steps take you to a large flat (some 100 sq) with fitted kitchen ( everything you can need in a kitchen but microwave). Three comfortable bedrooms and a living room which made our stay very confortable after day-long excursions to Cinque Terre, Portofino, Genoa, Porto Venere.... No daily cleaning or heating so a bit short of towels for the stay but very convenient place to walk near the beach, visit restaurants around and nice walk (15') to the train station. I would not take this place if you are looking for a sea view as you just get to see it from one window and very partially. However, the space is great and the location, very, very convenient with enough restaurants to try around. Good supermarket nearby too. The area can get very busy in the evening, with a cocktail bar just oposite, as well as a lot of restaurants and bars below the nice building . We slept well however, early November - end of the season, as windows were well insulated. A thing to improve is that there is no soap/gel/shampoo at the time of arrival. This is not convenient when you arrive tired, after a long day and shops are already shut. The hotel reception could not help here. Apart from that, the reception desk team was pleasant and helpful. Multilingual too. And we used their parking ( 18eur/night) during our stay. I would recommend this place for large families staying at Levanto as a base to discover the wonderful Liguria region.
