Towneplace lexington park Towneplace suites Lexington Park MD Our 6 man team stayed at this hotel for thirty days in July and August of 2023. Upon arrival and check in we all had problems connecting and using the free wifi There is an upgraded wifi that you can sign up for for 4.95 a day. If your status as a Marriott member is gold or above you can use the upgrade wifi for no charge, which I did. All 6 of our team members contacted the front desk about the lack of wifi signal in our room and we were told the wifi provider was working on it. After three days of waiting for the wifi to get repaired I contacted the wifi provider myself. The tech with the wifi provider had me run several tests on my laptop and asked a bunch of questions all of which did nothing to fix the wifi. I was assured my case would be elevated to a higher level and they would contact me. After three days of the same run around from the wifi contractor they finally told me that Marriott Towneplace contracted them to provide 19 Mbps wifi and an internet speed test verified that the wifi in my hotel was 19Mbps. At that point I realized that I had to find an alternative to get a wifi signal in my room. I found a local T Mobile store and rented a 5g Gateway for 30 days and my wifi issues went away. The other 5 members of my team used their phones as a hot spot. At 19 Mbps I could only open one page or website at a time. If I tried to open two or more I just got a spinning circle until it eventually disconnected from the wifi. This is a good hotel to stay at if you don’t need wifi, when I travel for personal trips I don’t usually use hotel wifi as my phone usually takes care of all my internet needs. But if you are traveling for business and need wifi for your daily business plan on providing your own wifi at this hotel. My team extended our stay in Maryland and we all moved to different hotels because we all need a strong dependable wifi to get our business done on a daily bases. I moved to Hilton Home2 and the free wifi is fantastic over 90 Mbps and runs all of my devices very well.

Clean, quiet, worn cushion on couch. Very small bathroom and it would have been nice is Marriott, during the renovation, would have put in a taller toilet. The room we had seemed to have a child's height toilet. Room was very cold and couldn't get the AC adjusted correctly. Nice compact kitchen. Staff was very nice. We didn't stay for breakfast because we needed to get back on the road. Plenty of well lit parking. Felt like the hotel was in a safe area.

Room: Weird with a full size fridge, stove and diahwasher. If thats what you are looking for then great (8.1) Staff: Friendly minimal interaction (8.9) Lobby: Small (7.7) Gym: Small, had 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical. Weights up to 50 lbs (7.6) Misc: Bad breakfast overall Overall: 8.1

Solid for short stay or business stay. Well located for restaurants and shops. Clean room and hotel. Easy check-in/out. Would return — one of the best options in the area and reliable marriott network. Didn’t have status recognized, though.

I expect basic things to work in a hotel even a lower end 1. 1. Clock did not work, and they could not fix it 2. No shampoo in the shower 3. Toilet seat broken 4. Thermostat did not work and could regulate the temperature. 2-4 were found after I was getting ready for bed. 1 I called down and they the front desk person said they would fix. 1 hour later I head to dinner and ask. Oh, we cannot fix it. Never bothered to call and tell me. The room got hot and I had a bad night's sleep because of that. Avoid staying here.
