Hotel di Baixa, Lisbon

There was a really nice waitress at the hotel who told us about the hotel's history, the restaurant, the elevators, and so on.

We enjoyed our stay at Central House Lisbon and would stay there again. The private room was clean, small, and well decorated. Bathroom was clean with a good shower. Shower had good water pressure with good heat. The bed was pretty comfortable with decently nice sheets. The highlight was the breakfast. It had a good selection of warm and cold options. Ham, cheese, toast, egg tarts, cereal, milk, juices, coffee, lattes, and more. We would recommend to travelers or Camino starters.

A very upscale hotel. The overall orange-red decor gave a wonderfully warm and inviting feeling. The front desk staff were very proactive in helping with luggage. The room was large and spacious, but the only drawback was finding several flies and mosquitoes in my room, which led me to deduct two points for cleanliness. The hotel's public areas were very clean, so I'm not sure if I just had bad luck with my room. The facilities in the public areas were excellent, with a 24-hour free gym located on the basement level. The hotel pool offers complimentary large towels, but you need to present the voucher given to you at check-in to claim them; otherwise, it's a 25 Euro charge. Starting at 10 PM, there's a 15-minute courtyard light show, which was quite enjoyable and showcased some of Lisbon and Portugal's history and present. The hotel's restaurant also looked very upscale (though I didn't dine there, as just 100 meters straight ahead after turning left outside the hotel, there's a Chinese noodle shop called 'Kung Fu Niu'. It was genuinely the best Chinese food I've ever tasted abroad, completely authentic to Chinese palate. The owner is Chinese, and the noodle chef is foreign, hand-pulling the noodles – not machine-made!). If it weren't for those few flies, I would have given a perfect score.

On-site parking is available, but it's an elevator parking system which might require a bit of careful driving. However, the parking spots themselves are quite spacious. There are numerous restaurants on the ground floor, and the subway station is conveniently close. Breakfast was just okay.

Excellent Stay in the Heart of Lisbon Villa Baixa is a fantastic apartment complex located right in the heart of Lisbon, near the iconic Rossio Square. The location couldn’t be better — it offers excellent public transport connections and easy walking access to some of the city’s most famous attractions. Within minutes, you can reach the Santa Justa Lift, the Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa), Praça do Comércio, the Alfama district, and the beautiful viewpoints like Miradouro de Santa Luzia and Miradouro da Graça. The apartments themselves are exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and recently renovated to a high standard. Everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The staff is discreet, helpful, and always ready to assist when needed. One of the great advantages is 24-hour access to your apartment, giving you full flexibility during your stay. I sincerely recommend Villa Baixa to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and centrally located place to stay in Lisbon.

I arrived around 5:30 AM, but there was no one at the front desk. I had to wait outside for about 30 minutes with a few other people before I could check in. They advertised 24-hour front desk service, but there was nobody there. Perhaps they're understaffed and easily overwhelmed. However, the front desk staff's attitude was good, and the hygiene was decent. The hotel is located right next to a road, but it was surprisingly quiet; I didn't hear much noise. There are buses that go near the hotel, but the subway is a bit further away. There are coffee shops within a few minutes' walk. Overall, it was an acceptable stay.

Staff were polite and attentive. The hotel was located in close proximity and short walk from Parque Eduardo VII and Marques Pombal metro station. On arrival, our room was upgraded from a one bedroom apartment to a more roomier corner convent apartment, which was a nice surprise. The hotel pool was busy every day, and therefore, we did not get a chance to use it. It was also on the smaller side. Overall, the hotel was lively and well located. We would stay there again if we were in Lisbon.

The room is not too big, but it is very clean and tidy, and it is cleaned every day. The front desk is friendly. The breakfast is quite rich, and there is always one that suits you. The hotel is located near the center, and it is convenient to travel. There are subways and buses within 100 meters. Opposite is the garden, and the violet jacaranda trees are lined up on both sides of the path, making people feel fresh, romantic and relaxed.

This is a good choice for traveling with friends, especially if you opt for a two-bedroom unit. The room size is large and the price is reasonable. The round swimming pool is clean and inviting, although it was too cold to swim during our April visit. The room is generally good, but there were a few drawbacks. The tissue box in the bathroom was broken, and one of the shower heads in a bathroom was malfunctioning. Other than these issues, everything else was quite satisfactory.

The room and hotel itself are very clean, modern and easy to spend. Cospa is also very good, such as shampoo conditioner body soap, free water, tea and coffee. However, there is a problem with the service. There was a leak from the air conditioner around the night, and I contacted him through whatsapp, but it took an hour to reply. He offered to change the room, but I refused for the time being because it was midnight. However, there was no follow-up contact or confirmation of leaks. There was no support or help. The new towel is self-service, but I used it to wipe the leak, so when I went to get a new one the next day, there was only one, the floor of the room was clinging to feces, etc. The room was very clean and comfortable, so the response when the service and problems occurred was very uncomfortable. There is no front desk, so it can't be helped, but I think that the response should be solid when the problem occurs. I will never stay at this hotel chain again.
