CityStays Rooms with Free Parking

Avoid and do not book. Dont make the same mistake we did. Booking made on short notice so there wasnt much options. Not worth staying here. Especially if its over £150 a night. The room itself was too hot. We were on the top floor and radiator in the middle floor was turned on to full. Thermostat handle was not there. Messaged and emailed the contact details that were given to us after booking. Requested a fan but no response. The wifi connection details in the room and the ones in the hallway were different from one another. Tried them both and they didnt work. Contacted the hotel again and no response. So had to leave the window open all night which is not a good idea as people and cars were being noisey in the middle of the night. The occupants next door to us were noisey a few times in the middle of the night. Woke me and my wife up. After we managed to get some broken sleep. Someone tried to open our door at 8am in the morning without evening knocking. Hence disturbing us again. We stayed here on a Saturday night. As i've stayed in hundreds of hotels before for work, i will not be staying here. There are other, better options i will choose next time.

I stayed here for one night alone to break up a long journey. The room was good value and offered free on-street parking. I was emailed and advised I would be staying in room 1. There is a key safe to access the property and my room was on the ground floor. There were cobwebs in the rooms but the room itself was light and airy. The room had vertical blinds at the window and no curtains and as night fell it became evident that these vertical blinds would not keep the light out. There was a street lamp right outside the window and so the room was bright all night. The biggest negative with this room was that there is a boiler within the room. The boiler makes a constant humming noise which only gets louder when anyone turns on a hot tap or uses a shower. This caused a constant level of noise in the room. I would not stay here again. I would pay the extra £5 to stay at the local Ibis or other hotel within the area.
