When you arrive at the hotel you are literally blocked by a tree-log so you can not easily drop off luggage after a tiresome journey. Not very welcoming. Then you find out that an after-ski swim in trhe pool (or use of the gym) will cost you 20euro pp EACH TIME! (10euro for one child), plus 3euro for a cap. After 6 days this would mean we would pay 360euro (plus 12euro for caps), just for half hour swim a day. Of course you will say that is for a whole day but after a full day skiing the time spent there does not reflect the price to pay. How is this possible? And how come you don’t mention it on the website? We have made our booking already in September and were early for checking in. However, we got two rooms completely seperated from each other, each on the other side of the corridor. And then you find out how guest oriented your hotel is. It is not. The manager is well trained in dismissing people in front of the desk, using all kind of amazing arguments. Crying daughters did not help. In the end we were told that he would look again after 2 days for options. Not surprising, we haven’t heard from him anymore, not after asking, not at all. You feel very dissapointed, not respectfully treated. And then another strange thing. We booked two 2-p designs rooms. One room turned out to be an attic room, with only a rooftop window? For the same price? If that would be shown on the website we would never have booked it. Unbelievable. The wifi? This was below standard as well. Hardly any wifi in our room, only when you stand next to the window. We could join the Gala Diner on the 31st. This would mean we have to pay 60euros pp (including our teenage daughters at 240euros). As we were not in the mood after our dissapointing check -in we cancelled our reservation. This meant we had only 1 hour for diner as we were requested to leave the restaurant by 8pm. We are not used to be in such a situation. In the past we spent lovely Christmas or New Year dinners in hotels. The last day of our stay we wanted to leave early. In the past in other hotels we were offered a packed breakfast to take with us, without asking. Luckily we already expected it not to happen in this hotel and we bought our breakfast for the last day in the supermarket.
