I'm writing this well after the fact, but want to address some of the poor reviews that have been posted. Granted, I have not been back since Oct. of 2021, but then they were first rate! I had a very stressful situation arise and needed a room for two nights and was accommodated very well by the staff at the Brighton South -US 23 location. My situation even got a bit worse and the GM, stepped up and helped me immensely! She was friendly and understanding and helped me out of a tight jam. I can't fully express how much her help meant to me; she was a lifesaver! I had stayed here once before due to a power outage at home and they were very accommodating then, too. The rooms are nice, the hotel is very clean and presentable as are the grounds. The breakfasts are first rate! This stay I needed a few things at check-in, and the night clerk was also very helpful and friendly, I wish I had made note of her name; she deserves thanks, too. There is a great variety of food in the ”store” in case you need it (I did). I can't say enough good about this hotel and the people who run it, especially Laura Jackson. I would recommend it to anyone needing a nice, clean and comfortable room.

I had to find a hotel room in the area due to power outages and was very happy that this property still had one room left. I was checked in very quickly and the room I was given was actually an upgrade to a suite. The room was clean, spacious and had all the amenities one would expect for a good hotel chain.

Very nice Staff & helpful ! Nice rooms , clean & beds are comfy ! Rooms have where if you want you can cook if needed ＞ Rooms have a kichen area in the room for you to use . Very nice thing to have when you are staying for few days or more ! Only no dishes , but they have some in lobby you can buy or rent like I think . I didn't use any so not sure what they are . Rooms are very nice . The breakfast you have to buy each day , wasn't to bad , it always nice to have hot stuff & other things to get . At least they offer something but you have to pay for it , that the bad part too! The other I enjoy the rooms & staff !

I had a poor experience at the Sheraton in Novi while staying with a family member to celebrate a belated Christmas as we weren't able to get together around Christmas proper. While I was upgraded to a room on the club lounge floor, the guest room I received was not clean by any definition of clean. There was hair on the desk and desk chair, hair on the toilet, hair under the toilet seat, hair on the wrapped bar of soap and soap dish, stains on the desk, and stains on the face tissue container. The single bathrobe hanging in the closet appeared to have been previously worn and didn't have a cincture. On my reservation I specifically requested only 100% feather pillows. My reservation also requested a bathrobe, slippers, extra pillows and extra towels. I didn't receive any of those things. The four pillows were four polyester down-alternative pillows. Those pillows are horrible. They always feel like someone stuffed cotton balls in a pillowcase. During check-in I noticed a sign at the front desk saying daily housekeeping is not provided, unless specially requested. The major cleanliness issues that I experienced are a direct result of what happens when hotels don't clean rooms and other spaces each and every day. I received zero Marriott Bonvoy elite status recognition. Specifically, I was not offered the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. I complained to the general manager, who to his credit acknowledged the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, fully apologized and took responsibility. To resolve the issue, he offered to comp my stay and ensure that the room was thoroughly cleaned while we were out of the room and off-property at a nearby shopping mall. He also apologized for the lack of Bonvoy recognition and provided the $100 cash compensation that is required by Marriott for not offering guest with platinum or higher Bonvoy status the choice at check-in of breakfast in the restaurant, an amenity or points. When we returned, the room was properly cleaned. The pillows were replaced with feather pillows, although none of the feather pillows had pillow protectors or pillowcase liners. Two clean bathrobes and two pairs of slippers were placed in the closet. The general manager was also kind enough to leave a bottle of wine in the room. My family member was really appreciative of that gesture. Despite the issues, the staff that I encountered throughout the stay were polite, welcoming and hospitable. That aside, there was zero excuse for the cleanliness issues or the lack of attention to what was specified on the reservation The club lounge was open with an average evening offering that included a selection of assorted cheeses, crackers, grapes, fruit and some basic canapés. Besides free nonalcoholic drinks, an honor bar featured cheap house wine ($5 retail bottles of wine) selling for $5 a glass. The club lounge is a nice smaller space. We reserved a Queen suite as a “home base” for my sisters bachelorette party. The room exceeded my expectations and I was very happy with most everything, The hotel, and particularly the room, were spotless. The bedding was wonderful - super soft sheets and great pillows! Mattress was a little firm for my liking, so I didn’t sleep the best, but I’ve slept on worse. Roomy and updated bathroom. There was plenty of space for luggage, clothes and other belongings. It was perfect. The room itself was 5 stars. Check in had me worried when we were told they were running late on housekeeping and it would still be another half hour to an hour. We already arrived an hour past check in time and still needed to get ready for our event. Luckily another staff member overheard what the gentleman told us and told him to get our names first, because “some” rooms were ready, and luckily ours was one of those rooms. (TIP: you can request early check in when booking and this may have helped us ). The gentleman checking in next to us wasn’t so lucky and was not able to check in before his event - I believe he was part of a wedding …..so not cool. The hotel, hallways and room were HOT! Took our room several hours to cool down. Air conditioning wasn’t even on in the hallway. It doesn’t seem like it would matter but when you’re dragging luggage in from the parking lot and it’s already hot outside, it makes a huge difference! Overall it was great with a few minor issues that could happen anywhere. I would definitely stay here again.
