Hotel berhampiran Zoo Park Rožman, Ljubljana

We stayed here for our first visit to Slovenia and this place was very impressive overall. The staff were really friendly and helpful - we were given a map of the city and information about the buses on arrival which was very useful to get us started on our trip. The room was very comfortable, the bed was roomy and the mattress was the perfect firmness. The bathroom was nice and modern and the shower was very powerful. The aircon was a bit weak and could do with upgrading, but we weren't too hot while we were staying there. The bar area was very nice to chill and have some drinks and the service was always prompt. We hadn't realised prior to booking that the hotel did not serve evening meals, but this was not too much of an issue as we ordered take out using the Wolt app and went out for meals in the city. The breakfast selection was outstanding and we really enjoyed the mini pastries and the fresh coffee. There is also a Lidl right next to the hotel which was very handy for snacks and toiletries if needed. The bus into the city was just outside the hotel and was very cheap (just €1.30 into the city centre) and only took around 15 minutues. It was a great way to see the area and they ran every 20 mins or so. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others. A big thank you to all of the hotel staff who made us feel very welcome and made our trip very smooth.

A nice hotel in an ideal location: 300 metres to the railway station and bus station, some very good restaurants close by such as Cacao restaurant. and near to shopping areas and major landmarks in Ljubljana. Breakfast was very tasty. Bed and pillows comfortable. Hotel reception staff very helpful.

We started our trip from. Germany on our way to Croatia and stopped in Ljubljana. With heavy rain e arrived at the hotel and were surprised at the friendliness of the reception lady, tape of hotel *nice mix of hostel and hotel and the variety of people !! Very nice and a good start for our Europe trip!!

El Hostel tienen diferentes opciones de alojamiento por lo que me gustaria destacar que la siguiente opinion es sobre ”Cama en habitación compartida mixta de 10 camas” que es el espacio que conocimos. La ubicacion del Hostel es inmejorable en pleno centro de Liubliana a escasos metros del puente de los Dragones y demas encantos. Ademas si llegas en bus o tren estas a una distancia comoda andando. El espacio en si es un lugar amplio con entrada directa desde la calle con tarjeta distribuido en literas de dos personas, donde segun cuando llegues podras optar por una mas confortable o no. A modo de ejemplo una de luuces de los dos baños daba directa a las dos literas proximas, lo que suponia que si en la noche alguien necesitaba usarlo molestaba a estas dos personas. En general la estacion estuvo correcta y lo recomendaria para una estancia breve, la atencion del personal es muy atenta y servicial.

We are tourists who generally don't want to stay in the busy tourist area so it worked out well to find this property. We spent six nights in the hotel and were quite pleased. We had two different rooms and two different room types (since our six nights were on two different reservations and the hotel was sold out of our first room type). We were on the top floor facing away from the street and both rooms were modern, comfortable, quiet (even when sold out) and clean. The staff at the front desk was very helpful, especially Marena (I may not have spelled that correctly) who was there afternoons and evenings on most of the days we were there. The property is quite a ways out of the central area. It's a 25 minute walk to the train station and closer to 35 minutes to the main tourist area (Triple Bridge). A convenient bus line runs down the hotel's street which we used a lot. There is a train station about a block from the hotel but the train only comes by once each hour and the ticket machine is only in Slovenian. The hotel is also in somewhat of a dining ”desert” in that there are no restaurants close by. The hotel recommended the Piazza restaurant (NOT ”pizza” though they have pizza on the menu) down the street. It's about a 15 min walk but it has a large menu and good food. We went there twice in our 6 nights. The central area is full of nice restaurants but again quite a ways away. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely consider coming back. You won't go wrong with the building but be aware that it's not close to things.

The location is good and the room is clean. I would just like to highlight the friendliness of the same. The hotel manager is very polite, but some staff are not that friendly. Maybe it's their way of talking but as you are in the service industry you need to smile more and be more friendly.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff and airy, spacious rooms. Really efficient air con for a hot summer too. Clean, modern, really nice breakfast and only a short walk to the centre along the river whilst being located out of the immediate city bustle. Been twice already and will be staying for sure next time I'm in Ljubljana. Great value for your money (beds and pillows really fresh and comfortable too)

We booked the spa package including 1 massage for 2 pers., discount to access the SPA, 1 romantic dinner and an executive room. Before our arrival, we tried to book massage and dinner as well as getting a confirmation that we could come with our cat. The staff was not super organized and did not provide a full answer to our questions. They can reserve the massage but not the spa (you have to write the spa directly to book your time there). We never got an answer for the cat. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Amir, gatekeeper, who happened to be very kind and one of the most helpful person in the hotel. Kindly organized parking for us, helped with our journey to the city center and made great recommendations. During check-in, we were kindly offered an upgrade to a top floor room and informed that they will look into the possibility to remove the pet supplement as we could not get a confirmation from their side before our arrival. (Spoiler : at the end we paid). The room was really nice, including a fluffy bed and an amazing bathroom (bath, large Italian shower, private sauna and double sink). The room had large windows offering a wonderful natural light. Minus : we called reception for maintenance as the mini fridge, one sink and the bathtub were broken and not useable… maintenance guy never came … Our time in the spa was amazing. Therapist did a really great job and really focused on making you feel good and relived. Particularly a big thank you to Bawo who really did magic. The whirlpool and saunas were very nice. Staff was on top definitely! Even if we booked 3h of spa access after 2h we had enough, the spa charged us only for the 2h we spent. Tip: book a massage + spa access for not too late in the day and not during weekend to enjoy some privacy. There is a gym in the hotel (you pay extra to access it) but it was a very nice one. Large with plenty machines. Breakfast was good and offered a large choice of classic continental food. Restaurant of the hotel was probably the biggest disappointment. Food was nice but it is not a restaurant but rather a lounge sportive bar. Not ideal for a so called romantic dinner… Do not expect romantisme there … really not at the level of the rest of the hotel and experience. General : the hotel was really nice and we spent a wonderful time as a couple. It has the potential to be excellent but sadly, could not make it due to the romantic dinner that was not one and the maintenance issue.

It was comfortable and clean. Located near residential area The shower is ok and bed and mattress is comfortable too! But the worst part is that the one and only lift broke down on the day that we checked out. We were struggling like hell to bring our large bags down the stairs without any help from the hotel staff. Only later, i heard that there were one or two helpers from the hotel assisting those who need to bring their luggage down.
