Their recommendations for local activities and dining were spot on, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the exquisite dining experience. The restaurant at Can Simoneta serves up culinary delights that are both innovative and mouthwatering. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavors that perfectly complemented the serene surroundings. Lovely boutique hotel very close to the resort centre but also just far enough away. Friendly and helpful staff and a lovely hotel with individually styled rooms. Big airy rooms, well decorated and very clean. Breakfast is exceptional with the option to sit outside and the range of food is extensive and top quality combined with excellent service. Hotel has an excellent Spa with a good, if small, gym area.

Hipotels Hipocampo Palace is my go-to vacation spot in Cala Millor. It's become a tradition for my family and me to unwind there during our holidays. Spaciousness and exceptionally welcoming, friendly staff combined together make it our top choice for family getaways, and we find ourselves returning time and time again. It's situated on the second line from the beach, offering proximity to the sea without being directly on the shoreline. The property is set on a large plot, surrounded by lush green trees, providing a natural and serene atmosphere. It comprises two main buildings, thoughtfully connected by a convenient underground passage. Right next to it you will find a bus stop with 401 line to Palma de Mallorca and A42 line that provides direct connections to and from the airport, as well as on-site parking for hotel guests equipped with electric car charging stations in the parking area. From the entrance we were welcomed by smiling and kind staff, in whom I am happy to recognize familiar faces, and check-in was efficient and quick. Our experience at Hipotels Hipocampo Palace was truly delightful. We were housed in an elegant suite located in the building adjacent to the pool, offering a stunning balcony view of Puig de na Penyal. The room itself was a haven of comfort, tastefully decorated and generously proportioned. Large wardrobes provided ample storage, while the spacious bathroom added to the overall sense of luxury. The highlight was undoubtedly the king-size bed, which guaranteed blissful nights of sleep. The hotel's commitment to cleanliness was evident in the daily room servicing, frequent towel changes, and the staff's promptness in fulfilling any additional requests. While the pool area, complete with plentiful sun beds, was inviting, we often found ourselves drawn to the irresistible allure of the nearby beach. The culinary experience at Hipotels Hipocampo Palace is not to be missed, making the Half-Board option particularly worthwhile. Breakfast, served on the terrace with its panoramic views, became a cherished morning ritual. The dinner service, extending into the evening (until 9:30 PM in summer and 9:00 PM in winter), is a gastronomic delight. The buffet boasts an impressive spread of appetizers, including fine cheeses and hams, alongside a diverse salad bar and an array of prepared dishes. The fried fish section, particularly the John Dory, draws the biggest crowds and comes highly recommended. For those with a sweet tooth, especially children, the dessert selection is a paradise of sweets, ice creams, and fresh fruits, available in abundance every evening. This resort has become a cherished destination for me and my family. We find immense satisfaction in our stays here, which is why we're drawn back time and again. My wife and I had an opportunity to take a holiday alone and chose Son Penya based on the location, architecture of the property and privacy afforded by the ‘private villas’ which make up about 50% of the 20 rooms at this beautifully presented property. Highs of our stay: -Size, quality of furnishings, privacy and views from our ‘private villa’ (room no. 17) -The immaculate public areas including the gardens -Friendly and professional staff both in the restaurant, reception and around the hotel in general. In particular, a big ‘thank you’ to Roberto, Sonia and Barbara for their attentiveness during our stay and willingness to listen to and help me as I learn to speak Spanish. -Quality and value of food at breakfast and dinner with a good choice on the menu as well as some ‘specials’ each evening. -The spa and pool. A wide range of treatments available and reasonably priced Could be better- -The consistency of the dishes at dinner. I had the same dish twice during our stay and the presentation/flavour was far better the first time I ate it. Overall, a highly relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautifully rural and unspoilt part of Mallorca. I’d recommend having a car should you wish to explore beyond the immediate area and taking one of the larger ‘private villas’, with their own pools if you are seeking complete privacy. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.
