This hotel offers decent value for money with standard amenities and satisfactory breakfast options. However, I was deeply disappointed by their post-check-out protocol regarding forgotten items. During my stay, I left several opened and unopened food items in the room's refrigerator. Unfortunately, the staff disposed of or retained these items without attempting to notify me—a stark contrast to my recent experience at a rural Liverpool hotel, where the front desk promptly informed me about a forgotten perfume. While the financial loss here was minor (around £30), the lack of communication reflects poorly on customer care standards.  For a reputable establishment in London, such oversight is unexpected. I urge management to revise their policies: a simple message to guests about abandoned belongings would greatly improve trust and professionalism.

A frustrating and disappointing check in followed by a terrible night sleep in an awfully uncomfortable bed. The shower was not hot and was barely a dribble, the AC, despite being turned off, was noisy all night and made the air in the room very stale which would have been ok but the windows are also locked shut. Two calls to reception and over an hour wait for housekeeping to come to the room. The location is good, but the hotel is old, the rooms are dated, the bed has a significant dip in the middle and the overall stay was a disappointing one given the price and other options. I wish I had booked somewhere else nearby for a similar price.

Very, very old and basic. Like it has never been upgraded for about 35 years, and amenities are 1 star only. It's only worth it if you can get it cheap, say hk$ 1300 per night just to wash and sleep. Anything more than that not value for money.

The lobby was really chaotic with groups checking in. Large groups should be handled somewhere else instead of clamming them around the lobby. The interior and furniture showed age.

Stayed here in a twin room with my daughter, lovely hotel very close to tube so felt very safe walking here at night time, Kensington high street was lovely. Room was spacious with bath and shower, TV was huge.

We stayed as a family, 2 adults 1 6 year old. The hotel location is fabulous with a short 2 minute walk to the Kensington high street tube. The room was very clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but was perfect for us. The little one had a full sized single roll out bed, there was plenty of room to walk about, it wasn’t cramped at all. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, lots of choice including full cooked English and the continental choices too. We’ll definitely be staying here again for our next trip to London.

A very pleasant stay. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and efficient. The setting of the hotel and its public areas were all very good. The brasserie restaurant and especially its breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, the beds were large and comfortable (slightly firm) but the general decor of the room was a little tired and the lighting and sockets were poorly laid out. The bathroom was clean and well stocked but the fabric of the room was very tired.

The room we had, 216, was "dated". With an a/c unit from the late 70s early 80s The bath/shower was very high to step into. Basin slower to empty than a politician keeping a promise and the plug needed resetting to flow out. The toilet was a handle flush which needed to be "pumped". We called maintenance as the only plug outlets in the room were set just above the floor and we could not use the kettle provided Two of the lifts were out of order for much of our stay causing us to walk down the stairs as by the time it came down from above in the m, there was no room left. Saying that, the issues were attended to and the staff were wonderfully courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet was simple. Nothing flash but filling and acceptable. Would we stay again? Probably not as this is an instance where the staff are let down by the property.

Booked here for a total of one week. Main draw is the location…very near underground with two lines. Hotel itself is so so - nothing to rave about but also no complaints
