Rose and Crown Stoke Newington

I recently spent a night at the Rose & Crown, and it blew me away. The rooms were cosy and clean, the location was perfect, and the Sunday Roast and breakfast was outstanding. The staff were so friendly, they arranged parking and allowed us to check in early. It's the perfect place to stay in London as there's ample bus stops and overground stations within reach. I also liked the vibe of Stoke Newington with the row of local bars and restaurants which are all walking distance from the pub. We will definitely be back!

The hotel is in an excellent location within Stoke Newington. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The staff at the hotel gave brilliant customer service. The food in the restaurant is very good. The Tuesday evening quiz in the bar is not to be missed!

My husband and I joined friends in London for a wedding. The bride recommended we stay at Rose and Crown as it was within walking distance of Clissold House where the wedding was taking place. Kate and the entire staff made this an unforgettable experience!

Such a lovely Pub, lovely location. Didn't feel as if in busy London. Friendly and very helpful staff. Comfortable room. Bed super comfy. Breakfast excellent as was food at night. We stayed several times and each stay was wonderful. Loved our stays. Thank you.

I recently spent 4 nights at the Rose & Crown, and had such a memorable stay. The rooms were so clean and tidy, the location was perfect, and the pub restaurant and breakfast in the morning were outstanding. The staff was so hospitable and friendly, they made me feel like a local. Kate, the manager, continuously checked in on me and went out of her way to make my stay so lovely. I will definitely be back!

We loved staying at the Rose & Crown for the weekend. We used to live in Stokey so we know the pub and the ares well. Perfect base and location for exploring all the local hostelries and eateries on foot. Next door to Clissold park. Comfortable and spacious room, friendly and helpful staff, easy going breakfast access and timings.

Excellent stay at this friendly pub. My second visit and definitely not my last! Comfortable, spotless room and a great night's sleep in a comfy bed. Surrounded by good restaurants and bars. Continental breakfast hit the spot perfectly. A nod to smiling Kate who is welcoming and friendly. looking forward to my next visit.......

From we arrived we found the staff very friendly and welcoming Rooms were basic but clean and had everything we required. Bathroom small but functional and clean Breakfast was lovely and the lady who looked after us was very welcoming and pleasant Will definitely return.

A great small hotel above a pub it is very good value. Kate and Dan were outstanding hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We were in Junior Deluxe Room 7, which was good but is the only one to have no air conditioning due to the hotel’s listed status. My daughter was in Room 6 which is larger and has air con. However, we were there at an exceptionally warm weather time and the hotel cannot be faulted for that. I have though suggested a portable air conditioner for Room7 for the summer months. Note that the first floor rooms are directly above the pub but any noise was not intrusive. There is no double glazing so there can be some noise from people drinking outside but again this is not excessive. I would recommend taking a room on the upper floor or take Room 6 during the summer. All rooms though are well fitted out with superb bathroom facilities. Hi spec all the way. Continental breakfasts were excellent but note that coffee is only served until 10 am. The hotel is on bus routes 73 and 456 which are very frequent to central London. Stoke Newington is a delightful place with plenty of good cafes, restaurants and pubs, plus two lovely parks. A very good place to stay but check out all the rooms carefully before you book if you want air conditioning. I would thoroughly recommend regarding value for money and attentive staff. There is also the added bonus of a roof terrace which was great to have at this time of year. Our thanks to Kate and Dan for making our stay so special.
