This hotel was an amazing surprise. The best triple room we've ever stayed in, it is actually like a suite because you have 2 rooms inside the bigger one separated by a door, one with a double bed and another with a sigle one, both with TV, desk, wardrobe and etc. We enjoyed very much. Everything was clean and cozy, the heater was working perfectly, and the staff was very kind. Although it is not located in the historic center, it is very close to the Gare and with several transport options in less then 5 min distance, including the airport bus. Besides, they kept our luggage both before the check in and after the check out. It was a really good stay.

Location a bit out but easily accessible via the free public transports.
Sadly we booked via Trip.com 2 rooms for 5 people, 2 adults and 3 kids. Booking confirmed for us, but reception refused to allow us check in, since it was against their policy to allow 3 people in a double room. So we had to pay an additional fee for a larger room to get us checked in. The whole holiday excitement got lost over this event…

Near the tram stop Lycée Bouneweg you'll find this small, family-run hotel. I stayed in a spotless clean single room, which was surprisingly spacious and contained (almost) all amenities for a comfortable stay. I particularly appreciated the excellent A/C (a rarity in mid-range hotels in this city), the coffee and tea making facilities, the minibar/fridge, the smart TV and the excellent sound insulation (including shutters). Just a pity that the room didn’t have a safe to store a laptop. The secure Wi-Fi connection always worked excellent and the modern and very spacious bathroom had a fine shower cubicle. The breakfast buffet offers a limited but varied range of fresh and tasty products and in summer it is possible to sit outside. The friendly staff and excellent in-house Italian restaurant at the ground floor are additional assets. Hotel Pax is located in the not very touristy area of Bonnevoie. However, Luxembourg's main train station is only two tram stops or 4 minutes away, making Hotel Pax a great base for visiting both the city and the country. As prices here are relatively modest, this hotel is an excellent alternative to the noisy station area and offers better value for money than most other hotels.

Excellent excellent stay! We were a family of 4 who stayed in 2 queen rooms at the 18th floor for 2 nights, and let me say I only have great things to say about this hotel. First, the location was no problem for us as public transport is free and the bus dropped us about 3-4 mins walk from the hotel; it is about 30 mins to the main city but the bus is regular and we didn't have any problems.
Second, the rooms were really big and clean. The toilets even better and they had a bathtub which is rare. The front desk staff was so nice; I didn't catch their name but we were offered cookies as soon as we checked in at the reception and they were always so kind and helpful. The swimming pool was open and we went in the evening to try out the pool and there were only 2 other people and it was nice to have a quick dip in the pool (we did get lost trying to find it but you just need to go through the gym to the bathroom to access the swimming area!)
Next, the breakfast was delicious especially the eggs yum and wide variety of food/drinks. We are doing a Europe trip and by far, this has been the best hotel we have stayed in our whole lives! Highly recommend everyone to book with this hotel if you are having doubts.

A nice little stay here for one night on business. The hotel is a little bit out of the way of the city, it would be about €25 each way in a cab to get there or there is a bus stop outside the hotel which can get you there in around 45mins and the help reception staff tell you how. Public transport is also free which is fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and had a nice design. I had a really comfortable sleep and the room was quiet. The room also had AC. It did lack amenities in the bathroom like cotton buds etc. but it had Rituals shower gel/ hand wash which was lovely as we have the same one at home so a nice touch. I was surprised the room didn’t have an iron and ironing board, I had to ask reception and carry to my room. The phone also didn’t work in the room to contact reception which was a little frustrating. I ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely, the waitress who served me was pretty exceptional with her customer service as well! The hotel is close to the airport around a 6-8 minute drive so was really handy for this. Though I am surprised it didn’t offer some form of an airport transfer facility at the hotel, like a paid shuttle bus. Luxembourg has to be the most expensive place in the world for taxis so be warned! I had a 7am flight and whilst I was staying so close, it cost me €45 to go 6 minutes at 5.30am (apparently night rates are even more expensive). I nearly had a heart attack when the driver told me!

Quelle déception, le personnel qui avant était si sympathique est aujourd’hui des plus désagréable mis à part la réception. Nous avons pris des cafés au bar lounges vers 16h, lorsque nous sommes venus pour l’apéritif à 19h, les tasses n’avaient toujours pas été débarrassées, ceci malgré le fait qu’entre 17h et 19h il n’y avait vraiment pas grand monde à servir. Au restaurant, le serveur est d’une condescendance hors norme, moqueur et peu agréable. Le dîner était bon, mis à part une entrée immangeable, un pâté suri qui a mon avis avait passé la date de péremption depuis un moment… Quel tristesse de ne pas avoir une carte des vins luxembourgeois (comme c’était le cas avant) et de mettre en avant plus de produits du terroir. Le petit déjeuner a perdu en qualité, le saumon fumé épais et plein de peau et de gras, les œufs brouillés sous vide infectes, les pancakes, du carton. Sans parler du personnel, la aussi agressif et ne sachant pas se tenir, une jeune fille adossée au mur attend en regardant les clients avec mépris. Cet hôtel n’est vraiment plus ce qu’il était, la gestion à la française, lui a ôté toute son âme, c’est vraiment dommage. Le service y est moins bon que dans un ibis budget, quel gâchis. Il est temps de mettre un manager digne de de nom qui sera sur tous les fronts ( présent et investi), capable de veiller au bien-être de son personnel. Peut-être que les employés auront alors le sourire et l’envie de travailler…

They did not refill our complimentary coffee/ tea. The worst thing is staff does not want to listen to you. After each request they give you short answers and just get over with you. In short words you dont feel like they care about you by in this hotel.

PPengguna TetamuThe location is very convenient near the main train station, plus close to bus and tram stops. There is a lot of construction on the road outside the hotel, but it was not a problem. Our room was a good size, not huge, but good open closet/storage space. The bed was comfortable with really good pillows! The bathroom had a really big shower, small sink, but overall nice. Plenty of outlets/plugs, good mirrors, a long desk. We didn't do the breakfast, so can't speak to that. Nor did we go to the rooftop bar. While the lobby/reception area is small it's welcoming and new, just like the rooms. Everything was clean and new and modern. The staff was super helpful and nice. We would happily stay here again.

The rooms are efficiently set out and adequately equipped, without any frills. Our room had a partition between our double bed and the sofa bed for our daughter. Rates are very reasonable, especially on te weekend, and service is quite responsive.....

PPengguna TetamuJust completed a 3 day stay while in Lux on business. For me the hotel is in a great location - just 10 minutes from the Centre via the free buses. The stop is literally outside the hotel front door. The hotel was immaculately clean. My room was a really good size with everything you could need. Wifi connection was excellent. Final word is for the lovely people who work here - thank you! You could have not been more helpful or cheerful which is really appreciated. As a regular visitor to Lux and having stayed in many different hotels, this will be my choice of hotel going forward now!

Ccoley_713Large room with a huge bed. Good selection of pillows, complimentary bottle of water, tea and coffee making facilities, room service. Good view of the city from the top floor room. Room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was large but only had a shower over the bath, for modern hotels these days a separate shower and bath would be better. Air Con was not effective, i think it was more of a air circulation system. Breakfast was good. Self service style with all the standard hot and cold options, plus extras such as omelette and pancake making stations. Staff were very good. The sauna, steam room and gym were small, but never busy. The hotel is located just outside the old city, within the business district. It’s a perfect location; just outside there’s a 10 minute T1 tram to the city centre. There’s a 15 minute direct bus from round the corner to the airport. All public transport is free inside Luxembourg. The only thing that slightly disappointed us was the €150 hold on a credit card at check-in. We fully paid for our stay upfront, and whilst some hotels ask for a hold on a credit card for damages, €150 was excessive, and this hotel made no mention of it during the booking process. Overall; a modern, mid-upper range hotel.

Very Convenient location. There is a bus stoppage just outside the hotel, you can go to anywhere with Free transportation in Luxembourg.
They have free airport shuttle, hotel is very near to airport which may take maximum 5 minutes.

CConnie CThe walk from the train station is uphill, we made it slowly! We were able to check-in a little early which was appreciated. The room was nice and clean. The service was friendly. The snacks for the evening could be better, however the breakfast selection was good. There were scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs available along with a variety of meats and cheeses, fruits, breads, sweets. Based on restaurant breakfast expenses the value is good. Getting a taxi upon check out was sketchy, asked the desk to order one for the next day, the next day didn’t know which entrance it would be coming to and ended up having to hail one for ourselves out front.

Review of thurs 28.12.23: Room 502 Hotel Grey Luxembourg. Quant hotel open 24 hours. Right across from the main train station. The room was modern with a safe, tea and coffee facilities, fridge, and built-in wall radio Rooms with modern decor and soundproof. The bathroom was nice with a big shower. The reception staff Sabir was very helpful. Free Wi-Fi is available. We did not have breakfast. All trams and buses are free to use. Walking distance to the tourist section.
