Appears brand new inside the room I had. Clean, convenient place to stay. A bit noisy with train. Advertised on Bookings and TripAdvisor that breakfast is included. There is NO BREAKFAST - otherwise it would be 4.5 rating.

This was one stop on our Euro road trip. The hotel is in a great location to walk to the popular sites. What's great is it is close to the train station so if you plan to do the Pilatus mountain tour (train & cogwheel train up, gondola's & bus back) you can walk to the train station and buy the tickets for the whole route. The next morning you just walk to the train platform where it will take you to Alpnachstad where you catch the second leg (cogwheel train) of the trip up to Pilatus Klum. When finished at the top, various gondolas bring you back down to Kriens where it is a short bus ride back to Lucerne where you can exit the bus near the hotel. Anyhow, the hotel owner was pleasant and helpful. We had a room with a shared bathroom which was no problem. The building seemed secure as well. Only drawback is if you sleep lightly and want to sleep in on mornings, forget it. There is a great deal of train wheel noise squeeking along the adjacent tracks. Didn't bother us though as we are sound sleepers. Breakfast was not included in out rate. They did provide a parking spot on the street right in front of the hotel which cost about $11US/day.

We stayed at B&B Bettstatt for 2 nights in July 2021. Location: Very convenient. It is a 10 minutes walk from the train station.en The hotel is on a side street. So, it took a little walking around the neighborhood to find it. It took a little trying to get into the apartment building where this B&B is located. Staff: The staff were very friendly and it was the owner Roger. The B&B was almost empty and Roger upgraded us to a larger room with a kitchen. Room: The room was great with a balcony. It was clean and comfortable for a 2 night stay. The bathroom was also clean. It was shared but we never found it occupied when we needed it. Food: Did not have breakfast at the hotel as it was not included in your rate and never mentioned, Made me wonder why is it named B&B.
