Thalero Holidays Center

We stayed for 11 nights in July, in two rooms. We were in the self catering section so this review will not be relevant for anyone looking into going next year. They are gradually changing the resort to be all new and modern accommodations without kitchen facilities . One block has been completed already. We had a very pleasant stay here. Basic Greek apartment accommodation, but kept clean. The pool was lovely, and it is fairly central in the small village of Lygia. We had drinks from the pool bar a few times, they seemed a little more expensive than other places we have been in Greece. They did have air conditioning in the rooms if you wanted to pay extra for it, and free WiFi available throughout the property.

My wife and I have been visiting Greece for the last 20+ years, visiting various islands. I would like to start by stating that Lefkada is a very beautiful island, and we enjoyed every minute of our visit. Regarding Thalero holiday centre, On arrival we found the proprietors of the centre very unfriendly or inviting. We were also very shocked at the state of the premises, the place is very tired and out of date, (pre-war) in need of some love and care in the form of paint! The room we were allocated did not resemble in any shape or form the pictures that were advertised on the site. For instance, to shower you had to hand-hold the shower head as it was not attached to the wall, and the shower curtain had seen better days; I have taken pictures to prove just how bad this room was. The kitchen sink plug did not stay fixed, and as quick has you were filling the sink, it was emptying! The room had no hairdryer, this is the 20th century, not the 18th century! The air conditioning was so outdated, I could blow stronger and faster cool air out than that draconian machine could!). I have spent less money on past holidays and had greater value for my money and fantastic rooms at that!!! All in all, what should have been a wonderful, long anticipated over-due holiday, turned out to be a big disappointment; we felt that we had been ‘lured’ by false advertisement, and it is no wonder we could not find this centre / self-catering apartment on YouTube. I cannot understand why this centre is still in business. JET2 need to send a representative to view these room to understand how ‘dire’ they are. It is the first time we have used JET2 and I am now loathed to use the company again

Stayed here as a family for 10 nights and had a very pleasant time. The rooms are certainly basic but spotlessly clean and the shower was powerful / water was hot and plentiful. The pool was great, always clean and never crowded. The pool bar had a reasonably varied choice but possibly a tad more expensive than we expected. The staff were welcoming, friendly and certainly worked hard. We had great service. The centre is situated in close proximity to a residential block, a bus stop was a few minutes walk away as was an excellent bakery and some great tavernas / bars. There is a beach a short walk away too, we used it daily - not sandy but crystal clear water and a nice little cafe service / bars nearby. We haven’t a bad word to say about the place.

Okay let’s start with the positives, the staff are friendly and the pool is clean. The accommodation is extremely dated and looks and smells old. The big issue for us was the road noise and the noise from the residential neighbours who were constantly chain sawing, strimming or doing other noisy things. Night time you just here the traffic all the time, as the property sits off the main road from Lefkas Town to Nidri. The food at the bar is basic and overpriced.

Wir hatten über weloveholiday eine Komplettreise gebucht. Bei der Ankunft sind wir sehr unfreundlich von der Chefin begrüßt worden. Das Studio war ein dreckiges und veraltetes Zimmer. Klimaanlage sollte mit 6 € pro Tag extra bezahlt werden. Die Betten einfach schlimm, man hat jeder Feder gespürt. Nach 2 Tagen haben wir nach einem Upgrade gefragt. Die unfreundliche Chefin sagte uns, dass wir ja das billigste Zimmer hätten und dann wäre es so. Upgrade wäre mit Cash Bezahlung möglich. Das Upgrade Zimmer war sehr modern, sauber und schön, jedoch fehlte ein Safe. Der Pool war ziemlich schmutzig und auf gar keinen Fall so wie auf den Bildern!!!!

ΑΠΑΡΑΔΕΚΤΟ!Είχαμε κλείσει τις διακοπές μας με φωτογραφίες δωματίων που δεν είχαν σχέση με αυτό που αντικρίσαμε όταν φτάσαμε!Το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ παλιό και παρατημένο εσωτερικά ,οι τοίχοι ήταν βρώμικοι και αίματα υπήρχαν πάνω τους （ίσως από έντομα）.Το ερκοντίσιον πολυ παλιο και θορυβώδες ενοχλητικά.Η ντουλάπα πολύ βρώμικη και παλιά.Η κουζίνα είχε δίπλα μια σκούπα και μια σφουγγαρίστρα απαίσιες και πολύ βρώμικες.Το μπάνιο ήταν σε κακή κατάσταση με σκουριασμένες βρύσες γεματες άλατα,ΣΙΧΑΙΝΟΣΟΥΝ ΝΑ ΑΚΟΥΜΠΗΣΕΙΣ ΤΟ ΟΤΙΔΗΠΟΤΕ!Η πισίνα του ξενοδοχείου βρώμικη!Η κορύφωση έγινε οταν μια πετσέτα που χρησιμοποιούσαμε και λερώσαμε για να καθαρίσουμε αυτό το χάλι την αφήσαμε στην άκρη και όταν μπήκαν οι κοπέλες μέσα να καθαρίσουν την βρήκαμε διπλωμένη μαζί με αυτή που είχαμε στο πάτωμα του μπάνιου την μια πάνω στην άλλη σαν να είναι καθαρές!ΑΠΟΤΕΛΕΣΜΑ;;;Ιατρική γνωμάτευση και χορήγηση αντιβιώσεων λόγω των μικροβίων που κολλήσαμε!!!!!!ΝΤΡΟΠΗ ΤΟΥΣ ΠΟΥ ΜΟΝΟ ΤΑ ΧΡΗΜΑΤΑ ΣΑΣ ΝΟΙΑΖΟΥΝ ΚΑΙ ΚΑΜΙΑ ΥΓΙΕΙΝΗ ΚΑΙ ΣΕΒΑΣΜΟΣ ΣΤΟΝ ΠΕΛΑΤΗ!ΙΔΙΩΣ ΕΝ ΜΕΣΩ ΠΑΝΔΗΜΙΑΣ !!!!ΜΗΝ ΠΑΤΕ ΠΟΤΕ!!!ΑΠΑΡΑΔΕΚΤΟΙ!!!!!Ο ΕΟΔΥ ΚΑΙ ΤΟ ΥΓΕΙΟΝΟΜΙΚΟ ΧΡΕΙΑΖΕΤΑΙ ΝΑ ΚΑΝΕΙΕΛΕΓΧΟ ΑΜΕΣΑ ΣΕ ΑΥΤΟ ΤΟ ΞΕΝΟΔΟΧΕΙΟ!!!
