Perfect location in the old town, there's life like in China and in Portugal on the same place, wonderful, if you don't care casinos in Macau!

I was pleasantly surprised by the experience, especially considering the price point. Here's a breakdown: Pros: - **Room Size**: Much more spacious compared to most hotels in Hong Kong, which was a big relief. - **Comfort**: The bed is on the firm side, but the pillows are incredibly soft, and the duvet felt new and fluffy, making for a comfortable sleep. - **Air Conditioning**: Worked perfectly, keeping the room cool and pleasant. - **Amenities**: The room was well-equipped with a toothbrush, comb, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, a water heater, a small wardrobe, a table and chair, and a hair dryer. - **Location**: Very close to a bus stop, making it easy to get around. Also, there are plenty of food options nearby, including convenient stores and non-halal food stalls (for those interested) . Cons: - **Toilet Size**: The toilet is quite small, designed for an average Asian build. If you’re taller or of European size, it might be a bit cramped—you may even need to bend your knees in certain positions. ### Additional Notes for Muslim Travelers: If you're looking for halal food, I highly recommend visiting **Indonesia Warong Amar Berkah**, a bus ride with fewer stops and few meters from the station you'll find the shop snuggle between pastry shops. The food there is delicious and a must-try, worth the price! Overall, **Pensão Elegante** offers great value for its price, with a strategic location and good amenities. Just be prepared for the small toilet and firm bed! Would definitely stay here again for a budget-friendly trip.

Everything r comply to 2 Star Hotel requirements with no any further expectations can be expected, but cleanliness n hygiene r a little above the standard.

This is our second time in Macau and we dont take short vacations but long ones. This is by far the worst place we have ever stayed in in Macau and HK. We stayed for 5 nights 6 days but not one time there was no crew to least pick up our overflowing trash(we dont even expect any cleaning, just the trash) , It was winter, and the room has no heater with cold tile walls single glass windows which froze us for 5 straight nights. The key card is not working we had to send it back to the reception 4x. everything malfunctioned. even the electric kettle only worked once. Hard no. Also lazy crew. Avoided interactions and even asked me to get down to get the key card that malfunctioned. Maybe they got too comfortable since we are both filipino. Unacceptable for a paying customer.

I guess this is new business owners who take over it. The room and facilities don't expect much. The location really needs to give some attention.

Everything was great & even got a free upgrade to a bigger room on the spot. The only downside was the Wifi network which wasn't very stable.

The hotel's location was fine and the facilities were all up to scratch, but our room had a very strong smell of cigarettes from the minute we checked in - either previous occupants had been smoking or perhaps someone who worked at the hotel? It was raining a lot in Macau during our stay so we were also unable to open our windows to try and get rid of the smell, but overall staff were helpful and the hotel served as a good enough place for us to spend a night during our trip.

Definitely recommended. Friendly service. I was allowed to check in early. I liked the decoration, tiles in a Portuguese style. Super clean. Everything is new. The sheets are beautiful. Maybe the bed was too hard, but I personally don’t mind that much. Great location: lots of restaurants. Near a fresh market and near a lot of sights.

The accommodation near bus stops and key tourist attractions. There are a lot of restaurants and shops around. Nice staff. The room has basic equipment, but in my opinion it is sufficient. Highly recommend.

The hotel location is very difficult to find. And the bed are really hard.

I've been staying at this hotel for almost a week, and overall, I've been very impressed with the service. The receptionists have been incredibly helpful and friendly. However, I was disappointed with one of the housekeeping staff members. She was a Filipina woman, white skin, &. A long hair ,I asked her for some shower gel, conditioner, and tissue, as I was running out. She told me she would give them to me later in the lobby, which I found to be unprofessional. As a guest, it's not my responsibility to go to the lobby to ask for basic amenities; it's the housekeeping staff's responsibility to provide them. Additionally, she didn't take out my trash for a week or knock to see if I needed anything.
