The rooms was absolutely disgusting. Still haven’t received a refund. And the person working the desk was defensive not apologetic.

The staff was extremely helpful when we asked to change rooms because a train runs behind the propery and our room was right next to the tracks. The continental breakfast was very disappointing. Not to the standards of HI Hotels that i usually stay at. The bed was so uncomfortable.

It's a really fine property, but it's time for an upgrade for several things. In today's market, I expected bedside charging options, an extra blanket, and an active restaurant and bar. Also, the hallway temp was arctic but told that the general manager was the only one with a key to the room with the thermostat.

The staff was very welcoming and made sure that we were comfortable. After we got settled in went to the lounge and had a glass of wine where the bartender was extremely nice. Enjoyed talking with her and she made sure that we enjoyed ourselves.

We were traveling with a baby and requested a crib, as free cribs were listed as available upon request. We were told they don't have any, so my husband and I, and our toddler and baby, all shared an uncomfortable night sharing a king bed. We were told they will be renovating in January and will likely get cribs then. Doesn't help us now, though...
Aside from that, the room we were in was a stone's throw from the train track, and we heard the trains go past all night. Not too terrible for us since we brought a white noise machine for our kids and were able to drown out some of it.
Cleanliness: it for sure could have been cleaner, but wasn't the worst I've seen.
There was breakfast included, which saved our stay. It was good, plentiful, and hot.
