Hush Lodge & Cottages

This is not a resort. It is rooms and some old cabins. Nothing else. Lake is 1/4 mile away and no beach. Paddle boat is a joke, Cabins & room are decent but not worth the money by all means No pool table as advertised. It’s investment property for the owner. Nothing else.

The room was clean and pleasantly decorated. There was amenities provided such as coffee machine, kettle, refrigerator as well as coffee, tea, etc. However, be aware, that after booking the room there is an additional $45 cleaning fee placed on what one thinks is a fantastic rate obtained through ***********. We stayed two nights, and the room was not made up, nor cleaned the second day. I contacted the owner by telephone, to ensure they were aware the cleaning and make up had not been done, who advised that they only clean after the third night or upon our departure. I was amazed as the coffee cups; glasses had been used the first day and were dirty and unusable the second.

The customer service here is phenomenal! The owner was incredibly kind and helpful to me when there was a miscommunication on MY PART about a room I was arranging for a colleague. Instead of making me feel worse about my mistake, he bent over backwards to try to help me out of a mortifying situation. I was truly impressed and would strongly recommend this place. If you want to stay with good people in a gorgeous place - look no further!

So much beautiful nature!! Had a surprise sighting of a mother & baby moose, along with deer-incredible! The majestic scenery, clear lake water and nice maintained natural trails were a pleasure to enjoy on the good weather days. Small town charm plus wilderness Stayed in cottages 1, 2 & 3 for a family weekend. All were pleased with accommodations. Everything was clean and well equipped with all the basics(linens, dishes, small kitchen appliances etc) Very cozy & peaceful Wish we had more time there to experience a bit more quiet relaxation Thank you Hush Lodge!

We needed a place near Bancroft for the Gem Jamboree, and though this was 50 minutes north, it was a delightful lodge and place to stay. It had all that we needed, clean and comfortable, with a decent sized fridge, coffee machine, microwave and enough space for 3 (using the pull out couch). We only spent the last day at the site, and thoroughly enjoyed the lake, using the row boat to get out on the water. It was amazing to see a field for soccer, a kids climbing frame, a net to play badminton/volleyball. It had all you would need for a great getaway. It was also not far for us to go to the main street and buy some trinkets from Grumbling Grannies. The owner was so nice, friendly and helpful, giving us green tea as my boyfriend didn't drink coffee. Considering the heat and being in the midst of summer, I didn't have any problems with mosquitos, though we did use bug repellent. We also thoroughly enjoyed watching the meteor shower late on Saturday night in the field, incredible without the city lights and ambient light of Toronto.
